The first review is thoroughly accurate in depicting this delectable game. Although the topic involves horror, ritual and witchcraft, there is more to the story than meets the eye.
I won't cover what's already been covered but give you a quick summary. There is everything in moderation, speech, HOPs, adventure and puzzles - yes, some new ones.
Now for the bad news. Although I gave this game 5 stars because it was thoroughly entertaining, it does have one critical error that I encountered. (SMALL SPOILER NEXT) While I was doing the ritual puzzle while in the mirror world, I left to see if there was anything I missed in case I left the world. When I returned to finish the puzzle, the game would not show the puzzle and I was caught in a loop preventing me from completing the demo.
Workaround, once your find the herbs and chalk to do the ritual, do not leave the puzzle until it's complete or you will have to start the game over. Critical flaw, but still a well-made game.

Anytime someone gives a game one star, I have to try it to see if they are just in a bad mood. Unfortunately, it's not the case. Big Fish, pull this game and fix the issues before it ruins the reputation of the game.
I did discover that the escape key will allow you to replay or leave, but the game never allowed me to progress beyond the tutorial. I tried windowed, full screen, system cursor on or off, timed and unlimited moves, but all ended up in the game suggesting a move beyond the achievement and a stop in play.
It looks like it could be fun with adventure mode, trials and infinity mode. There are bonuses you can earn and sprites that will help you. This edition allows you to download the faerie-like music and skins.

Well done hidden object/adventure game. The demo comes with an interesting twist to the storyline to get you hooked. If you don't read ahead on the story, you'll enjoy the mysteries of the adventure the way the developers intended. There are plenty of collectables and a fair mix of hidden object vs. puzzles. Some of the puzzles are challenging enough to keep you from tearing through them right off the bat but not so hard you just want to give up. This is one of those reviews where less is more. All the typical extras are included in the game along with a secret room to boot. Play the demo, then decide if it's right for you.

Escape room type game with old style controls like inspect, move, push, take, inspect, interact. A little bit of conversation at first, but the rest is dungeon - at least for the demo.
The objective is to move through a series of dungeons and in each one, you find what you can find, reach what you can reach, and interact with items that will ultimately get you the key you need to use to more forward into another dungeon room.
The puzzles aren't hard as long as you find all the objects you need in the room to progress. There is a help system that will give you a series of hints in a loop. For example, "The ax might be able to crush something".
I don't like to give away the story as that is the job of the game, so I'll just say - if you don't mind old style controls, and you like puzzles, you just may get a kick out of this retro game - I did. However, if you're a bit squeamish, you might want to pass. The game does have some icky things to look at and interact with.
Check it out.
*Note: Although I always identify myself as an intermediate gamer (as there's always room for improvement), I have been playing games since the days of the text version of Fahrenheit 461, through Kings Quest, Monkey Island, Grim Fandango to the modern HOP games.

I can keep this simple, beautiful pictures, pick the difficulty, games types are rotate a puzzle piece, swap vertical planks or swap pieces. There are so many puzzles to choose from and all are available from the start.
However, this has never happened to me before but I had to turn the game off because of an odd sensation in my head/chest? As soon as I turned it off, it went away. I don't know if it was the visual images or the music, but try it before you buy it just in case.

For the same reason others were unhappy with the game, I was thrilled. The sound was relaxing, the puzzles were beautiful, yes, there is a click every time you place a piece and the challenge was average. The puzzles get a bit harder as you go through. I was able to play through all of India and half of Australia in my one hour demo, but that's with checking out some of the options as well. If you enjoy a zen time playing a game, then this might be worth a try.

Match 3 with a flat story of earning money to decorate a house for Halloween. Repetitive music which randomly stops from time to time, unclear instructions on how to use bonuses earned, artwork was old-school and flat, storyline was uninteresting and level after level of slightly progressive match 3 gameplay. I played it to the end, but not my cup of tea. Try before you buy and see what you think.

Rather than go to the details the others have, they are all right. When I first started played I thought - LAME, but then I gave it a chance. I ended up giving it four stars because I enjoyed my morning playing it. It is not what I would call a hidden object game as their are not enough, and it is not an adventure game because the tasks are short and sweet. The puzzles were fun, I had no issue with the fantastical colors and I didn't mind finding this to do that. Very enjoyable.

As others have said, quite the improvement over the previous pixel games, you can make it more or less challenging depending on how much you use the tools you earn, but it you use them, the tedious eye-exhausting effort of finding the lost pixel is gone. I love how they tell you how many items you are looking for so you know whether you want to use a tool or not, and the quality of the images are much better than the norm. I'm leaving room for improvement, but good improvement on an old idea.
