i liked the graphics well enough, can't speak for the sound as i played muted. my biggest problem with this game is the sloppy cursor. i was ready to quit right from the start because of it. i did play for about 15 minutes, and it was slow starting. but once i got into the daughters conscience, i felt it had possibilities. if it weren't for that darn sloppy cursor...! i did read the reviews and saw that at least a couple people had finished the game in short order, between 3 and 4 hours. that is too short for me. so, between the wonky cursor and the lack of time for game play, i decided not to get this one.

WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? go here, go there, arrows everywhere you look! hit the hint, as there are NO good directions given, and what do you get??? ARROWS!!! now you get to wait for the hint to recharge, to again be given no instructions as to what to do or which of the arrows to take. most of the time you're told to go to an area where there is something to do, but you seldom have the items needed to complete the task. i can't comment on the sound, as i always play muted, the graphics were ok, but not up to par with the majority of games you get nowadays.
it took forever to get out of the house. who would think that the photo pieces gathered need to go on the safe, so it could automatically morph into the picture of the kids, turn itself over and show you the code to open the safe??? i had to open the spot with the safe and again hit the hint button, (it was just a fluke that i thought to do this) where it finally let me know what to do. problem is, it didn't tell you what to do, it did it for you! what could have been a good game was just barley mediocre...:o(

this game has one huge negative for me... the cursor is sooo sloppy! i like a tight movement, not one that swings around. i almost stopped playing because of this and the challenge level, which borders on chldish. but, there is 'something' about this game that kept me playing.
it isn't a bad game overall, and i had some fun while playing. i definetely wasn't ready for the hour demo to be over, but not sure it's worth the cost of a collector's edition.
the biggest challenge in this game was to be able to pick up an item from the inventory and not the one next to it...that darn sloppy cursor! lol
if the necessary tweaks were done to this game, and a bit more challenge put into it, it'd be a game i'd buy. i'm going to say i'd recommend this game, not so much because i do, but because of the potential it has...does that make sense???

4 times i tried to play this demo. first it took so long to load i thought my computer froze up so i rebooted. the second time i got as far as changing the brightness...rebooted again. third time i actually got to hit the play button then hit the skip button as i'd already spent so much time to get to this point... mistake...after another long time of waiting, i rebooted again... finally, the fourth and last time i was able to get through the first cutscene and at long last i thought i was going to get to try out this demo... wrong! my time was up and it took me back to the game manager...:o(
I don't recommend this game.

you can't skip the intro, the layout is...how do you say.... c-rappy without being rude?...dito for the HOGs... whoever 'developed' this game should look at well developed games to get an idea of what to do. i can't find anything positive to say about this one, except...i positively won't be buying this one.

what the heck??? how can you play a game that gives no indication of what to do next when you can't figure it out on your own???
i may not be the sharpest tack in the box, but come on...really? who puts out a game when there is no indication of what to do or where to go when you've scoured the few areas you can get to...? i couldn't play past the beginning areas. i clicked and clicked, hunted and hunted for anything to give me an indication of what to do or where to go next to find something to help me continue...nada! zip, zilch!

i have to assume that the other people who didn't care for this one, just didn't take the time to comment. the graphics were awful! no vibrancy, very muted, especially in the one and only hog i played. graphics were so bad, you could barely see what the items looked like that you had to find.
i didn't care for the old school cartoon strip look to the game when it first started and almost stopped without going on. but decided to try it incase it looked better after starting... it didn't.
i can't comment on much else, as i quit so soon. this is definetly not what i look for in a game.

ok, it's not a HOG...it is a 'figure it out on your own, 'cause there is little to no help or instructions or guide of any kind'...
i've read some of the reviews of those who love it...glad you were able to enjoy it. me, not so much! guess i don't have the brain skills to tackle this type of game... but it would have been nice to be given some helpful instructions on what to do and how to do it. maybe if the developers had given you a choice of difficulty, one for those who don't need help, and one for those of us who do...
i gotta pass on this one. i would have said the challenge level was a 5 star, if that did not mean 'excellent', but meant instead extremely hard.

this game starts out really well. the game play is good, the HOGs, while easy enough, are pleasant, storyline isn't bad, and it's very enjoyable.
then the inevitable happens...the longer you play, the longer the HOGs take to 'recharge' before you can play them again inorder to complete a task. i am currently waiting 30 minutes for the 'recharge' , and i've only just completed a week of playing. ( i don't play this game for hours on end, for this reason...otherwise i might...lol)
it is necessary to find objects given to you after completing a HOG. problem is the 'wait' before being able to play again to complete the task. of course you can buy your way into a HOG, with diamonds... this makes a 'free to play' game a 'buy to play' game...
even though i gave this game a low rating for 'challenge', i do like not having all the pressure of a game that is overly challenging...sometimes i just like to play to relax... so this level is just fine with me.
if the time for recharging the HOGs could be improved, this would be a really great game. but as is, i could only give it a middle of the road overall rating.

this game would be fine if your time to play didn't decrease if you play well. the first games give you ample time to find the differences, but if you don't take your time you will find that after the first half dozen you start getting pressured to go faster. the time decreases the better you are. i don't want to be pressured when playing this type of game! after less than 10 minutes i left the game to delete it. it isn't fun if you feel this much pressure.
