I just loved this game to death (there is a bit of game-fun intended there!). It is a rather simple point-and-click which was released in 2013 but I enjoyed the heck out of it. Our protagonist is armed with a series of funny, sometimes snarky, vocabulary as you interact with the items and scenery around you. I only found myself a bit stuck (there is no hint button) once or twice but got myself back on track without much problem. The game is fairly linear so you won't be able to leave an area with tasks and/or items incomplete and therefore suffer frustration; I enjoyed interacting with anything that I could (especially enjoying any and all modern art installations LOL!). Any who, all I can say is - more like this PLEASE!!
Violett is reluctant to move to the dreary countryside. But when a strange light lures her to into a world of magic, she may never find herself bored again!

Certainly not for everyone! It is an adventure game with no hand-holding, no jump-map, no sparkles which translates to wonderful for me! Each scene is kind of set up like a "room escape" situation where you have to figure out what you need to do to move on. It takes some time to figure out which type of items need fiddling and which are just pick-up but once you do it gets easier. More puzzle adventures please!!
I'm just not feeling this one - it's visually wonderful, but it is very, very easy. The game progresses so linearly that I never even opened the strategy guide. The handful of puzzles in the demo were no challenge at all and the HOS are just same old same old. There just isn't anything special here. And you get a pet to buy stuff for...yeeeesshhh. I'm in the minority here, but to each his own!

Totally unacceptable at this point in time, especially for a CE. (and no, the "widescreen" button did not change anything). Too bad because once I got the hang of it, I was enjoying the game mechanics - certainly something different if a bit too simplistic. Maybe a daily deal buy, but not worth more than that to me.

Like another reviewer I was very disappointed on the length of the adventure mode - I was finished in about 1 1/2 hours. The challenge mode is ok with a couple of creative puzzles but not at all why I would purchase a game. Wish I had my punch card back.
Over and over and over... that is the only black bar tip and it pops up constantly. If there was a way to disable them I didn't see it. Very very annoying - so much so that I uninstalled the game after 20 minutes. Too bad, I was enjoying the story line.
What the heck happened here?! This offering would have been great about, oh, 3 or 4 years ago. Having played all the others in the series this was a real let down. Where do I start? Other fellow fishies have done a fine job with the synopsis so my issues are : no widescreen; iffy graphics; super easy game play; HOS every time you turn around and not interactive, just straight lists; takes forever for your helper animals/fairies to do a task. I'm sure there's more but that about does it. I'm not sure I'd even use a Punch card on this game, let alone shell out the bucks for a CE. Very disappointed. :(

I am apparently really in the minority here, but I am finding this the most boring and least creative episode in this series. Unlike in the first version, there are very very few "extra" style scenes which now only lends to the whole monotonous aspect of the whole game. Are we now living in this barn??! Why in the world would we need a fridge? Why do I keep looking for junk to sell in the same places over and again just to buy things that make no sense? Scenes have no interactionable items (unless you count the fact that if you mouse over a phone, it rings, or a candle lights up, etc) and overall just dull, dull, dull. Sorry, but this is the game I play for a couple of minutes while another game is downloading.
I beta'd this game quite some time ago so was excited to see it released. I shouldn't have been. None of what I call bugs were fixed (that double-cursor thing - what's that all about?!#, no widescreen, story line a bit weak #other than beating the mirror guy of course). And definitely very short play time. I really enjoy FROGs so thumbs up for that. Just feels like it could have been so much more.
I am in the same boat as CyndiLouWho2 with exactly the same experience. There is a whole slew of this style game from this dev and I am certainly hoping we will not be drowning in them this week.
