"Enthralling" is a title that is surely a real stretch for this dud. And I bought this one (why did I think it would get better?) so I can tell you that after the demo, there are no more power-ups - the 3 you get during the demo are it. There is so much boring here, from the silly discussions between characters to the rather annoying game play that I would encourage M3 fans to run far away from this one.

I think my biggest issue with this game is that all of the mini-games have been used in previous games from MH. It really drives me crazy (not like I'd waste much gas) but the story book and the graphics are so fantastic and then it all falls apart with the game play. I just don't understand why they can't get it through their thick mad heads that using the same puzzles and gimmick devices over and over result in no-buys? I dunno, SMH. They just have such promise but never deliver, resorting to mini-game formulas that you can stick into the story. A no-buy for me, yet again.

If you have never played in this series before then do not start with this one as the tutorial is practically non-existent and even what I would consider basic game instructions for each early level were totally absent. We have new tools/artifacts to use and figuring that out is not exactly organic. I was left baffled quite a few times and I have played all the ones before. That said, this offering gives us more challenges than previous versions and I suppose that's a good thing, but the basic play is the same as all previous versions (build/collect/etc.).
But I do need to go back to the "what the heck am I supposed to do" point; the total lack of early instruction (even how to use your new-found skill is missing) only leads to total frustration and I have no desire to replay early levels in order to achieve gold just so I can play a bonus level that is lacking instruction as well. The in-game strategy guide only gives strategy, few solutions, so you're on your own to pull your hair out over what order to light the fires, and then try to get more mana, sell ore, light fires again, nope, not right, repeat. This is a frustration task that does not belong in a TM game. So definitely avoiding this one as a CE and probably as an SE as well.

What a delightful game!! I am just enjoying the heck out of this one. May be a few too many HOS for my taste (hence the 4 stars) and thought this would have been more fun as adventure only, but devs seem to need to appeal to everyone so there you have it. Good mini games, though most aren't much of a brain stretch but they suit the task at hand and that can make all the difference. Lovely graphics with quite the attention to detail and a perfectly fine story to boot. Looking forward to more from these folks.

Yay!!!!!! A true puzzle/adventure game brought to us from quite the acclaimed developer!! (at least in MY book!). You will definitely find yourself stuck from time to time but there is help out there as well as here in the forums. If you enjoyed Violett or Tiny Bang then this will be right up your alley.
For anyone new to this type of game: there is absolutely no hand-holding. Actually I thought this game could benefit with a bit more info with not only game play but also map improvements. So you might shuffle around for the first 5 minutes of so wondering "what the heck?" until you start clicking around and encountering your first puzzles and wonderments to return to later. You'll need a pen and paper. Think of it as "escape the room" but on a much larger scale.
I'm so excited to continue on but I must unfortunately get to bed early tonight!

Seriously? A broken zipper pull?!! That HOPA standard pretty much sums up this ho-hum game. And I really do not understand the "Warning"! Unless fuzzy dark creatures with green eyes happen to freak you out, then this is by no means a "psychological thriller". There is nothing psychological about it; paranormal maybe yes, but a warning is just comical and really only serves to raise the anticipation level - this game just fails to meet it. Maybe less hype would have suited this game much better.

Wow, a rather different game play to the multi-color griddler! These puzzles really make me use my noodle; no easy-peasy penguin game here at all. What's fun is that there is no x'ing of game squares just because that color might be complete - oh, boy this is hard to describe here but the tutorial does a great job telling you how to play. Enjoy the brain stretch!!!
Well that ended rather suddenly. Normally I enjoy this series very much as an SE as I do enjoy the straight-forward gameplay and nice graphics but the extras tend to be rather weak with the CE. But this game just ended with a giant door slam and really no resolution to the story line. Trying to push us to the CE for storyline resolution? Call me disappointed and in the "never again" category. I am not recommending the SE (but I wouldn't recommend the CE either).
And what I mean by that title is that you have to click, hold, and then drag the piece. I found this really clumsy and rather annoying and it might well be impossible for some players to complete this motion. Also, at only 25 levels that take about 4 minutes each, that's rather stingy game time. And some others have mentioned as well that there is no profile creation so replaying is zero. So, while the graphics are just lovely, there is just too much going against this game for me to recommend it.
Problem is, the story makes no sense. I will try to make this short and not reviewing the developer ( 8-| ) but our antagonists change. For no apparent reason. Who the heck is Eric? Or Erik as it is spelled even later in the game. This seems to happen so often with their games; the storyline put forth in the demo is totally trashed and laid to waste by chapter 2 or 3 so all you're left with is an enormous bunch of HOS and puzzles that are of the annoying type to me and I'm scratching my head and saying "WHAT?!?". Honestly, I would just avoid this total mess completely as there are no redeeming qualities for game play at all.
