This is a really bad game. I have loved the rest of this series, but this one is a no-go. I couldn't bring myself to finish the demo.
First bad: The story line is awful. The princess is a dope, unable to do anything of her own initiative. And the "save the kingdom" story has been done over and over and better.
Second bad: The HOs and puzzles are way too easy. And if they weren't easy enough, the actions you need to take are all outlined, so if you couldn't guess where to put this puzzle piece, the pretty blue outlines will show you.
Third bad: In the few places it isn't so easy you could do it in your sleep, there is no way to figure out the next step without using a hint.
Fourth bad: The music and the voice overs. 'Nuff said about them - you can turn them off.
The good: The game is beautiful to look at, great dreamy imaginative graphics. That's why I gave it two stars instead of one. Not enough to save the game.
No recommendation here.
I don't recommend this game.

I could not even finish the demo of this dog. EIPIX took a very promising story and made it into boring madness.
The "action" drags along at a mind-numbing slow pace. When things happen, the characters do not react realistically, e.g., one of their number disappears and (ho-hum) we better split up and find out how to get out of here. How about maybe we ought to find out what happened to our friend??
There is NO LOGIC for many of the actions taken and little intuitivie choice to be made. (I play with sparkles and glints "off" but having them on would not have helped this issue.) And the illogical actions are spread far and wide, causing the protagonist to have to walk back and forth and back and forth just to complete simple tasks.
Also, another pet peeve of mine is that after 15 minutes of play, I had about 100 items in my collection. Slight exaggeration, but you get the picture.
I don't recommend this game, but I gave it 2 stars because it is awfully nice to look at.

I love griddler games. I generally "buy" them sight unseen. So glad I did not do that with this one.
The joy of these games is using logic and thought processes to solve the puzzles. Use of logic not to make mistakes and to complete puzzles without hints. I only worked the first two puzzles. BOTH required me to GUESS to complete the puzzles, no logical solution.
This game is a NO BUY. for me. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this game.

Based on the completion of the Standard Edition.
Why oh why did I continue on to finish this dog? Why oh why did I buy it? The demo looked promising with an interesting story about abduction and separation, and a sister wanting to rescue her missing sibling. So I bought it, -- what a mistake.
I have NEVER wasted so much time on a game. Things to find are scattered all over the place, and much of the time you don't know what you need to find to complete a task and there is NO LOGIC to the maneuvering around to find things and perform tasks. Not far into the game, I had to use the hint for every single move.
The HOS are confusing, particularly the ones that compare one scene with another embedded in the first. Never figured out any of those. Most of the minigames, I could not figure out how to solve, even with instructions.
But I kept going, hoping that it would get better, but it didn't. I'm a fan of story, but hardly any of the actions promoted any particular story. There was no explanation for why any of the whole thing happened. I have no clue.
NO I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS GAME.

Wonderful hidden object game with lots of variety (I think). But I only got to Level 4 before the timer killed me. No option to disable the timer, so no go for me.

Based on the demo. This game is great idea and I had a lot of fun playing it. You get a clue and then find hidden objects to complete the crossword puzzle. A Tinkerbell-like sprite gives you random letters.
While this was a lot of fun, I'm not sure I'll buy it - maybe use a freebie. The reason being that many of the times that I solved the clues, I could not find the object in the scene. It costs stars to use hints, so that takes away some of the challenge.
I recommend this game!

This review is based on completing the Standard Edition Game.
At times this was laboriously difficult. Nice graphics and music and a story that was creepy but I liked - mostly. There were, however, holes in the story line and character motivations that I never quite figured out. The game play was clunky, with a loading screen popping up with EVERY change of scene. EVERY.
My biggest issue with this game relates to some of HOs. To advance the story line there are HOs with things to find that are CONCEPTS rather than OBJECTS. What does "fear" look like, or "evil." I found these very difficult because the appearance of concepts tends to vary depending on the observer's life orientation. I used the hint a lot during these HOs. And I didn't like it.
So, if you can put up with load screens and weird choices in the HOs, this should be a fine game.
I recommend this game!

Boo, hoo, I just finished the trial of this game. I'm not a fan of these mosaic/zigsaw games. But, this one is the absolutely most beautiful one of its genre I have ever played. Stunning, cut and crinkled paper designs, soothing music, and no clock.
Not sure whether I'll buy it, because it seems to lack a story. But if you love gazing upon beautiful things, this game fits the bill.
I recommend this game!

I really wanted to like this game.
The graphics are exquisite and just sitting and looking at it is great. The developer has a twisted sense of humor which I also liked, although the birds creeped me out on so many levels.
I worked this from several different profiles (and start overs when my status had gone to bad). I played the demo for 20 minutes and could not get off the bridge (first scene). I haven't deleted it from my laptop yet. I'll let it vegetate and then try it again before I give up.
It's not fun, but it IS engaging.
I recommend this game!

I love games that are story heavy and this one meets this requirement. It was like reading a gothic novel. Interesting characters and many, many unexpected story twists.
I did find most of the puzzles difficult to solve, so I skipped them. There were somewhat novel HOPs which images, rebuses, and other puzzles within puzzles to find the necessary objects. No problem solving these. But since I was playing the SE and not the CE, I wasn't worried about using hints.
The map isn't great, but I hardly ever use one unless there are many clicks between scenes. This game has almost all of the navigation being nearby and making sense. Had to collect LOTS of items, but that also added to the game for me, having to remember what I was carrying around.
I thoroughly enjoyed myself and was somewhat sorry to see it end.
I recommend this game!
