I will start on the fact that I try to stick to a certain amount of credits for as of right now, so I normally do not buy a collector's edition unless I'm completely antsy. On that note, I did end up buying the game, so I obviously expected something completely thrilling. I loved the idea of the storyline. The graphics were good, the sound was good, the music I kept high enough to try to stay in the moment with the game. I really enjoyed the puzzles as I played. I did not see them as too hard or too easy, and I'm sure each person will find different puzzles difficulty differently. I stayed up the night with a little ill one, so I played through. I admit that I did skip out on a couple of puzzles after letting my patience get the best of me. The storyline and interaction is what I was hoping to bring the game to a "wow" factor. I would have enjoyed maybe more storyline and interaction. Personally, I like to feel like the game is open ... free to roam and different places and interactions. I think I was hoping for a more detailed area and storyline and that is why my rating is not amazing. I definitely would have been fine without the collector's edition and probably happier, although I will admit that one of storylines to one of the extras did leave me feeling better about getting the collector's edition. I will say that I was up playing it throughout the night and was focusing on other things while doing such, so that could be a factor, plus I usually don't get a collector's edition unless I'm really feeling it or it's the only choice. So, maybe I'll replay it and then review my own review :P

I'm going to save my boyfriend, and it just happens to be in a mental asylum. This sounds worth a try. Once the hour was up, I, at that point, had to finish the book until the end. The puzzle workings gave me a "Saw-vibe" (the movie,) yet the storyline is not in any way like that except that other forces know what gets to everyone, and everyone is prey to having to deal with it. It's like walking through a book. You don't get too frustrated by getting stuck to the point you don't want to finish it, and it's not so easy that it is boring. At the end, it feels like you accomplished finishing up the book and you might want to look for a sequel, which we obviously now have...so we'll see how that tends to pan out. I'm not sure if the gameplay and storyline is amazing for hardcore hidden object players, but I'm picky with which ones I get into and I just didn't want to stop while playing once I started this one.
I recommend this game!

Throughout the demo, I tried to overlook the character voices and go along with the story. The map and showing areas of interest I really liked. The graphics were not awful. Then, came the hidden object areas...I'm not sure if the "theme" of the hidden objects were just not my thing or if it just seemed to be repetitive. In fact, I think my favorite part of the game on the demo was the ball throwing game. That and I liked looking in the mirror at myself. Other than that, I am wondering who likes this and why and if I'm able to read the reviews eventually, I will love to see what was loved about the game. :) Last thing...I found it difficult to sometimes use the point and click easily.

I have a thing for the hidden object games that have to do with mental hospitals. I think they seem to be the most amusing. I got wrapped into this in a trial and ending up spending my nights playing this story and watching it unfold. I'm very picky about hidden object games, so if I get one, then obviously to me it was pretty good. It was challenging enough for me to get stuck a couple times, but I was able to dance through the story without any major irritations. It wasn't the scariest or a really deep storyline, but it kept me entertained for a couple nights.

I have to say that I love this game. Yes, there could be some more upgrades and expansions, but this is just so fun. I can't wait for them to come out with a sequel that will continue to upgrade and expand. The choices are endless. You choose who you marry and how many children you get. You figure out how to solve all the problems that make the family happier, and characters change with age. If you're a family if Virtual Villagers or The Sims, then you're going to enjoy this one!

If you like the game Artist Colony, then you will love this game. They both have their own style of gameplay, and the graphics are pretty nice. You get to decide who you need and figure out what they do best. As you open up more of the game, you might find yourself overwhelmed trying to keep everyone organized. It's still has mini-games (strategy & puzzles.) It is a longer game for me, and honestly the fun factor is good, but I'll be honest that I started to lose interest and still have yet to complete the game. I do like the concept of the gameplay. If you like this one, then you might like Artist Colony also. They both work around their own little personal touch of gameplay.

I have to say that this is my favorite Virtual Villagers so far. The only thing that seemed to have changed (while I was playing the game) is that I don't have so many events with choices coming up. I love the extra challenge and having to think and do trial and error. The game is not a fast game, and I'll admit that I don't want to miss a thing, so I don't use real time in the gameplay unless I'm around the game to where I can see certain things. I love all of the Virtual Villagers, but this one has been probably the most fun (so far), although the great thing about this game is that you can always come back later and play it again, and you'll still have fun.

First off ... You get the choice to play the prince or the princess, so there is no gender biased when it comes to the gameplay. So, for the people who don't want to play the opposite gender in the game...that's not a big deal. This is a game that would appeal to both genders. It's fun...you have so many different things to do, and you also do not have to rush the game (although there are times that you need to be somewhere fast.# You get to control and figure out so many things. You have to complete missions, build buildings and you have the freedom to put the buildings where you want. You decide how your population of people will be and what you need to keep everyone happy and safe. You will travel, and you will be exploring just about every inch of the play map. I find myself trying to set up the towns in a nice, but productive way. I've found it to be challenging on some things. There are plenty of upgrades that continue on. Besides buiding, training citizens to help do the work and deciding how many people of which trait you need, you will run into fights #don't worry...they aren't gore) and you will help people while you build up a kingdom how you would like to see it to be done.

The gameplay is fun. I love getting to decide on my choices throughout the day, and those choices affect if I will make my goals on time, which is actually very challenging. I bought this thinking it was going to be longer than it was. The con to the game is ... at least to me ... the game was not a very long game. By the time I finished the demo, I had no clue that I was probably halfway through the game. It is actually very challenging, but it will not leave you to a point that you will not be able to complete the game by getting stuck. This reminds me to the similarity to Caio Bella game. Enjoyed the game play, regretting using one of my stingy credits because of the shortness of the game duration. Other than that, I can say it was fun while playing it and it's alright if it was a fast game.

This game makes you think of the sims when it comes to visual and graphics (at least I think so.) It actually can be pretty challenging to the point that you'll kick yourself for forgetting to pick up that one extra pair of dirty clothes or you get more kids added into the fold. I have to say that after playing the demo, I was sure that I was just at the beginning of the game and things would change up. This game changes a little, but you will soon feel like you have some major levels and the game is going slow getting you into it. The problem with this is: This game is short and sweet. You have options and challenges for replaying the game and such, but you will feel like you are repeating over and over alot of things. I love upgrades, but I felt there could have been more. It would have been nice to have the game grow as you level'd instead of seeming to be the same thing but with different time lines. If you aren't picky about how you spend your credits or money, then this could be a fun quick casual game that you can play on and off and not get out of sync, but maybe the newer episodes would be more interesting. So, the gameplay is fine, but it's repeatative and it is definitely challenging to beat the best score you can. Also, you will find the game is actually pretty short compared to the time management game levels that you would normally play. That or I just might make a great nanny? lol Just try not to miss those stinking hiding socks ;)
