I had this in my queue for a while, but have been too busy to play it. It's a rainy afternoon and so I gave it a shot. Review based on demo.
I really enjoy this game. As pointed out by countless other reviewers, this is not a new story line. Been there, done that, but I have to say I enjoyed it more than most games and thought it was somewhat different than the usual fair. The HO's were more challenging than most HO's in other games (at least in the demo, which was short).
Mini-games are pretty easy, depending on what games you like and don't like. But overall they are enjoyable to play.
The voice over is chatty at the beginning. Let's hope it subsides as the game goes on.
I consider this game better than a lot of games that have recently come out so I'm recommending it. Check out the demo for yourself.

I won't go into a description of game because my fellow reviewers all did a great job and there's no reason to rehash again.
I enjoyed this game and I have enjoyed most of this series. If you like puzzles, then it's for you because there are lots of them, at least in the demo. I usually don't find mini-games/puzzles that difficult in games, but this one is different. I found several of them to be quite challenging and that's one of the reasons I purchased the game.
The visuals and music are very good. The story line has been done before, but is solid enough to follow.
If you don't like helpers, you might stay away. However, in the demo at least, the dog wasn't in it very much so it wasn't annoying to me.
Overall, it's a good game and better than most in the past few months. It's a rainy Sunday here so this is the perfect way to pass the day.
I recommend this game!

Donna goes to visit her friend for her birthday and she finds her panicked because she believes she's going to die. Oh, and there is a killer plant/tree/root. I won't rehash the story line or details because others before me have done a great job of it.
A lot of people rated this game low, which I get and they have every right to do because they might hate it and it's their opinion. I LOVED the first Donna Brave game in Paris. It was an excellent game and I have enjoyed replaying it. To be honest, this game is not as good as that one and I really wish it was. If you haven't tried the first one, you should.
With that being said though, I Beta tested this game (I play Expert level with no help) and I enjoyed it. If you enjoy finding collectibles, morphs and doing HO's with a number of difficulty levels to choose from, you might like this game. It might also be a nice choice for those who don't like running from a demon in a hellscape that's trying to kill you like I do. I haven't played the whole game so if that's in there, sorry.
I didn't have some of the issues that others have had like with graphics, story line, "being unbelievable". I mean not everyone likes the same graphics and every story line has been done. I haven't seen anything "new" in a long time. As far as being "believable", "killer" plants have been done before and not more ridiculous than talking helper animals, being sucked into another dimension, ghosts/spirits killing people or Santa's evil brother, so to each his own.
I've played 100's of games over 10+ years on BFG and not all games are winners, most are not. Play the demo and if you like it buy it. If you don't, then don't. Use others reviews as a guide, but use your own game play experience to decide if you like it or not. That goes for all games, not just this one.
I recommend this game!

Sunnyglow and the others did a great job giving a explanation of the game play so I'll skip that.
However, I did Beta-test this game and I really enjoyed it and looked forward to it coming out. It is a dark game so it's not going to be for everyone, but those who like this genre should enjoy this game. Although story lines similar to this have been done before, the story line is solid. I like the graphics and the music complements and doesn't annoy. I really enjoy the "dragons" in the story. I mean who doesn't love dragons! There is no helper so if you enjoy them you might have to wait for the next in the series. I don't mind them, but it was nice not to have one in this game. I don't think Bertha would have fit in with the dark theme. I found the HOP's and puzzles to be pretty much like most other games; some are harder than others so there's something for every skill level, but I did enjoy most of them. This was definitely a buy for me. Hope you enjoy the game as much as I have!

I beta tested this game and I have to say I could not wait until it came out. This is an excellent game! I loved the story line, tone, characters and challenge level, etc. I'll let others go in depth with their reviews as they are much better at it then I am. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do!

This is based on Beta and Demo
I did Beta test on this game and couldn't wait for it to come out. It's very eerie and spooky. A MUST to listen to with headphones or speakers. Great graphics and storyline. Lots of items to find: morphs, petals and photos. A few puzzles are pretty easy if you are Expert or Advanced player, but a few are challenging. Probably my favorite in the series so far.
I recommend this game!
Everyone deserves a second chance – even the stingiest of them all.

Pretty much everyone has covered everything great about Christmas Stories. I really enjoyed the 2012 version (perhaps a little more than this one), but this one was also fantastic. Great storyline, good puzzles and HOPs, beautiful graphics, good holiday music, et cetera. Puts you in the holiday mood!

I won't go into an in depth review as it has been done. This game did not disappoint! I completely enjoyed the Ghosts of Maple Creek and was so happy to see another Enigmatis. Although I had already started another game, after I played the demo for a short time I immediately purchased it and starting playing this one and forgetting about the other game. Mists of Ravenwood is an all around excellent game. The storyline is excellent as are the graphics, voice overs, puzzles, mini-games and even HO's with three different types and not too many of them. There are 3 modes: Casual, Advanced and Expert. I played on Expert and liked that it didn't have sparkles or much of any help. This game kept me challenged the whole way through and I found it to be quite a long game (didn't time it or notice if there was timer). There are collectibles and morphing objects. If you liked Ghosts of Maple Creek or enjoy challenging well thought out games try the demo for yourself. I usually end up getting rather bored before I finish a game, but I did not feel that way at all about Mists of Ravenwood. I agree with many others that this may be the best game so far of 2013!
I recommend this game!
A long-forgotten artifact has just resurfaced, and the race to claim it will cause a devastating war. The only thing strong enough to stop it is one woman's promise to the man she loves.

After trying to download the Collector version of this game and not being successful I tried the standard version and it worked. So glad it did. I thoroughly enjoyed this game. It has two modes: casual and advanced. I played advanced. I liked the advance because there were no sparkles at all! There are black bar tips though. There is a map which I did not use, but I understand it does transport which is great because there is a lot of back and forth in the game (which I don't mind). There are a number of HOS but they are spread out pretty well. You're not doing one every other scene. The puzzles vary in difficulty and I found myself challenged on a number of them. Some may not like the graphics (they might think they are grainy). I found the storyline interesting, the music was good and not annoying (although I kept on low volume). It took me a number of hours. Sorry I forgot to keep track. Overall I recommend to all skill levels. Take advantage of this weekends sale and get this one or at least try the demo.

I won't go into describing the whole game play as it has already been done. However, I had to comment on how visually beautiful this game is. One of the most visually stunning games I've ever played. That aspect certainly added to the enjoyment of playing this game. I found the game itself on the easy side. That being said I play on Expert or Hardcore so it won't be easy for everyone. And I would still recommend to those who play on hardcore as there are a couple of challenging puzzles. I do wish the game was a little bit longer. Also, the cute creatures in the game won't be to everyone's liking. Overall though this is a high quality, fun game that I would recommend to every level player. At least play the demo to see if you like it.
