Blue Tea Game have created some of the best, most visually stunning games I have ever seen, and Rise of the Snow Queen continues that tradition. It is just BEAUTIFUL!
But don't be fooled, Blue Tea doesn't focus just on style, they pay just as much attention to substance. The story is compelling, and this time, instead of being told with a journal, short clips tell the story of a small village where after a bad snowstorm, the villagers discover that all the children are missing. Sightings of a beautiful woman and a manlike beast make the people believe that this is the work of the Snow Queen. Thus, you sent to investigate and hopefully find the children.
Not only are the graphics and plot wonderful, the voice acting, which is usually the weakest aspect of a game for me and the most likely to be done badly, is excellently as well. The strategy guide is well done, too. It's broken into chapters, so you don't have flip endlessly through pages to find the answer you want. In addition to the regular gameplay, you have the option of click on shadow objects and collecting badges. The badges will unlock different stories which complement the plot of the game. It also has a small map that helps you keep up with where you are and what goals need to be accomplish. The only problem I had was that some of the mini-games were rather easy, but that is a minor issue.
I recommend this game!

BFG has released another great game on the heels of House of 1000 Rooms!
The graphics are really good, crisp and sharp, though I didn’t like the way Sam’s (the protagonist) face looked. He had a strange appearance. The game also has a moody atmosphere that is appropriate to the disturbing plot. Though there are a lot of dead bodies, there’s no blood or goriness, which I much appreciate. The mini-games are really challenging, but luckily the skip button fills pretty fast in the casual mode. And the game does have two modes, casual and advanced; always a plus. This game also has some of the best voice acting in any game that I can remember playing. The villain has a smooth, cultured voice that still sounds creepy, and Anne sounds scared without overacting.
I deducted a little because there’s a lot of back and forth, but my final score is 4.5. This is a really good game, and I don’t think that you would be disappointed.
I recommend this game!

You're a doctor who has been summoned to make a house call on a heart attack patient (What kind of doctor makes house calls anymore?). Unfortunately for you, this routine house call is interrupted by a horrible storm, a prison break, and several murders that you need to solve before you're next.
This game's best feature is the graphics. They are crisp and sharp but still able to give the game a foreboding atmosphere. The hidden object scenes are a change from the standard junk piles; instead you have to find certain objects to unlock another one. The voice acting isn't bad, either. There was a little too much back and forth for me and the plot had some holes in it, and sometimes the doctor's actions made no sense. What kind of doctor leaves his medical bag behind when he hears someone in distress?
Despite the flaws, I think this game deserves 3.7 stars.

Rescue Team 2 plays a lot like the first game; it keeps all of the pros its predecessor, it's still fast paced and you need to think if you want to finish the level with a gold trophy. The plot is still the same and so are the buildings. The only difference I saw was that they added a hospital. Unfortunately it still has a frustrating aspect of the first game, too. Objects that need to be picked up still stay green, even if there is no worker available to get it, and there is no indicator to tell you whether or not a resource will be picked up once you click on it. That makes a fun game a somewhat frustrating one.

You are a reporter sent by your editor to a town that has had a rash of disappearances and at least one murder. Rumor is that these poor missing people have been kidnapped by a house (you giggle here). When you arrive, the town mayor, anxious to stop any negative publicity, informs you that there is nothing strange going on and asks you to leave. You, as a good reporter, completely ignore him and begin your investigation. Well, it's a good thing that you do because minutes later, a house mysteriously appears and grabs a deputy and sucks him in to the house.
Once you get past the giggle factor, you will find that this is a pretty good game. The graphics are very well done; I think they are better in this game than in the first game, The Mystery of McInroy Manor. However, they are able to maintain the foreboding atmosphere. The music is good, too. I wasn't too crazy about the voice acting and the accents, but it wasn't so bad that it took you out of the game. I didn't see any new mini-games, but they were fun to do. The hint and skip buttons recharge quickly, so you can get help if you get stuck. I think there was a bit too much back and forth for my taste, but not excessive since there didn't seem to be any "busy work".
Even though the premise had a big suspension of disbelief factor, once you get into the game, it is an enjoyable experience, well worth a score of 3.8 stars.

Here is yet another game with the curse of fog (Strange Cases: Secrets of Gray Mist Lake, Dark Dimensions: City of Fog, etc.). You're driving down the road when suddenly, you see a ghost-like figure. The next thing you know, a policeman has pulled you over for driving while impaired and decides to take you to jail. If that wasn't bad enough, you're put in a cell with a skeleton and a hangman's noose.
While not perfect, this game has some great qualities. The graphics are suitable to the forbidding atmosphere. I didn't like the hidden object scenes; they were just the standard junk piles and were ugly. They might have been trying to make them look grim, but they just looked dirty. The sound track was nice, but unobtrusive. It also had nice mix of adventure and HOG elements. The game also has two modes, which extends the gameplay.
However, there were problems. The plot is unoriginal, very similar to games listed above. I didn't like the cursor because it was small and hard to see against the dark background. The mini-games were rather easy and wouldn't offer much of a challenge to an experienced gamer.
The game was fun to play, though, so it wouldn't be a waste of money to buy.
I recommend this game!

It's the Middle Ages, warfare has taken a toll on the countryside, destroyed villages, and left the people with little food and feeling defenseless and desperate. It time for a great leader to step in and lead his/her people to prosperity and security once again. Well, that's the premise of Be a King: Golden Empire, anyway.
That sounded like a great idea for a great game, so I downloaded it. Well, somewhere between the idea and the execution, something went wrong, because after playing for 10 minutes, I was at once bored and incredibly frustrated.
The tutorial, and I use the term loosely, was somehow able to be longer than most master's thesis, but have no real helpful information in it. The area with the goals and tasks took up a lot of the screen and distracted you from the actual gameplay. The guy at the bottom of the screen who was supposed to give you hints on what to do, but reading his suggestions took up time need to finish the level. Finally all the buildings looked so much alike that it was hard to know what you were selecting.
I gave this game a try, but quit after 22 minutes; I suggest you not bother to try it.
I don't recommend this game.

I didn't like Coffee Rush or Coffee Rush 2; so since this game is EXACTLY like the first two, it should come as no surprise that I didn't like this one, either.
If you haven't had the "pleasure" (and I use the term VERY loosely) of playing either of these games before, I'll fill you in on the plot (the plot in all the games are the same): the evil Stackhouse Coffee has run all the other coffee places out of business while dragging the name of good coffee in the mud. It's up to you to remind the poor citizens what REAL coffee is like and run Stackhouse out of town.
The graphics are cartoony and not in a good way. The gameplay leaves much to be desired. You have to collect coffee beans, whipped cream, sugar, and for some reason I can't fathom, lightening bolts to make drinks for you customers. There are NEVER enough sugar cubes and you get impatient looking for matches and so do your customers. What could have been a fun game turns into an exercise in utter frustration.
If you want to play a wonderful 3-match game, skip this one and download Heroes of Hellas 3.
I don't recommend this game.

I didn't see Hdo Games as the developers of this game, and decided to try it. When I saw that it was a Hdo Game, I made my standard bet with myself: how long will I play the game before I get fed up and quit? My average is about ten minutes. Well, I didn't last that long this time; I made it to the slider puzzle. I, unlike a lot of players I know, actually like these type of puzzles, but this one didn't have a frame so it was extremely hard to see where the open space was. So I only made it six minutes.
This game has all the hallmarks of your average Hdo model of mediocrity. Long-winded cut scenes with the characters talking one at a time, poorly executed puzzles, hints that don't work, etc. It's about some guy who loses his memory, and if you could actually stomach this mess, it would up to you to help him figure out who he is.
On a side note: how does Hdo Games make any money? I mean, no one actually BUYS these games, do they? Their games suck, yet every week or so they inflict another disaster on an unsuspecting gaming community. I don't know whether to admire their persistence or wonder at their sanity.
I don't recommend this game.

I'm sure that there are a myriad of reasons why others have rated this game so highly, unfortunately, I didn't experience any of these sterling qualities. The game was boring and unimaginative, with nothing really to differentiate it from the pack of 3-match games released by the truckload. There was no plot, no story, no goals, NOTHING to motivate you to keep playing. I quit after about 20 minutes.
On a side note, I say if you want to check out a quality 3-math game, try Heroes of Hellas 3 or 7 Wonders.
