I recently played again. It is still a beautiful and long game, sceneries with elaborate drawings, gripping storyline, some complicated tasks, some easier, never repetitive, some back and forth to exercise your memory, but never tiring. So many games nowadays are simplistic.
Based on the demo: A game for younger players ; not hard, rather simplistic ; you don't have to go back and forth too much, as every chapter of the story is segmented in 3 to 5 sceneries at most...No real challenge, could be boring. See by yourself.
A pleasant game, quite average, with a thick background that adds a difficulty and a rather boring music. BUT unfortunately, very poorly optimized since it alone takes up a lot of the CPU on my Mac !!!! Long live the fans, but still...

Based on the demo. Yes I am kind of tired of the fact that everytime you have a wrench, a knife, flashlight or a lighter in your inventory, you use it, then throw it away, and a few minutes after, you need one again, and you have to seek for it. Who would do that ? If I ever find a knife, I keep it all along ! And I can use it to unscrew too ; don’t need a coin for that. But it is a common flaw in HO games…It takes time to find and find again the same items, compensating the fact that the storylines are thin. Beside that, it is an OK game ; the story could have been more detailed. The pop-ups are funny, rather than scary. I liked the graphics and the sceneries, and there are a lot of hidden object scenes. The puzzles are not so easy ; some of them require time and precision to be solved, that is interesting. I also like to find puppets, poster pieces and morphing objects, but is there a way to find the one you missed after the end of the game ? I appreciate that in a lot of CE games.
OK, if it is the first time you play an Argonauts Agency game. When you played the whole series, it's not worth buying. Nothing new, except a more sustained pace which makes it more difficult to reach the three stars on the first attempt. Some other little changes which aren't innovative enough to maintain my interest...Dont even talk about the storyline ; I hope you guys are going to read the excellent Heroes by Stephen Fry, to get the right idea about Jason, the Golden Fleece and others

This game is not a Kingdom Chronicles 1 copy, it is original, the scenery is very nice, the game is more elaborate, it needs a lot of thinking and most of the gamers, I think, won't get the gold stars immediately. The only flaw is: too many bends !!! It could be boring without the redeeming buffs. So run, run, and use the helper as soon as you can...
even if two or three levels are, in fact, some "copied/pasted" levels from previous ones ...I still enjoyed it, but, no CE ? No cat, shoes, gifts or advertisements to collect ? Sob ! And by the way, darkhalf01 dear, there IS a multi click option: just choose "Casual" play in the menu when you choose the difficulty level.
This game main quality : it is an open map, so your results depend on your choices of action & paths ; if you take the longest path & try to build every structure or get every item, you loose. Choose wisely, and try and try again !
Based only on the trial. As it has been already said here for more and more games, the storyline is a used and re used one. Originality is not here. Then the scenes are very limited, the views are shorten: in the hotel, you have access to the lobby and part of the stairs, then your room is immediately there, no corridor, no more decor than just necessary for some HOP. I didn't really noticed the music, unremarkable. The level of challenge is OK, no real challenge either...
I recommend this game!

Really, I don't understand the bad reviews. Of course it's an old fashion game, but that's as charming as visiting the old museums full of curiosities. Remember your youth ! Simple doesn't mean easy, and circonvolutions of time are interesting to follow ; the storyline is as contorted as these.
