Grab your helmet and board the engine for a great new adventure in Rescue Team 5 as you rush to the aid of those in trouble.
The graphics are excellent and the characters and items to collect are distinguishable and a bit larger than in other TM games I have played. Of course the premise is the same because we have to complete tasks by removing obstacles so that we can rescue those in need of our help. We will collect various resources and build different types of buildings. We earn up to three stars per level as we complete the tasks. Since there is a relaxed mode it is fairly easy to earn the stars without having a time limit. Not only can we earn those coveted stars, there are also achievements to be earned.
Who knows maybe I am finding a new genre of games to play that seem to be quite a bit of fun. As far as TM games go this is one of the better ones that I have seen. I love the sound effects that accompany the game such as explosions, the sound of hammers used in construction, and then fireworks when we complete a level. All in all Rescue Team 5 is an excellent game that has a lot of fun factor.
Not having played the previous games in the series I am not sure how this one compares but I imagine it is fairly much the same. Recently, I have been playing a lot of TM games and find that they are very enjoyable to fill the time while waiting for a new HOPA release. If you haven’t played the TM games, there have been several very good ones released recently. Rescue Team 5 will be a definite purchase for me. I absolutely recommend that you grab your helmet and tools and jump into this excellent TM game. As always, try the demo first though to see if this is a game you will enjoy.

Hidden Object: Home Makeover 3 is certainly nothing to rave over and would probably be something I would get rid of in a jumble sale. The premise is familiar, we want to upgrade our garden but we need money and after a long vacation we are “tapped out.”
What is there to do but to hold a jumble sale?
The graphics are okay but the items to find are small and sometimes indistinguishable, particularly in the scenes where we apparently must read minds and find the objects by silhouettes, which in many cases are nothing more than splashes of shadows. The game has no voiceovers and it is ludicrous to watch speedy lip flapping with no sound. Not only are there no voiceovers, there are no other sounds aside from that constant repetitive music. When I turned off the music all I had was a game with no ambient sounds whatsoever. The settings are difficult to find and aside from early in the game when they popped up so that I could change my mode to relaxed and get rid of the timer, I could never find that particular screen again. If I hit what should be the options menu the only thing that I found was for the music, sound, or screen size.
Periodically in the game we have special quests to fulfill and those come along with some special games such as a memory game or a match 3. There might be more quest games but I couldn’t manage to play the game long enough to find out what those might be.
If you are looking for a game that has jumble sales so that you can decorate a house or upgrade your garden, then I suggest you look elsewhere. This is another of those games that are riddled with grammatical errors and where the devs just gave it a half-hearted effort. IMHO, the game could have been far better if the sound, including the addition of voiceovers, had been improved. There should have been an options menu that offered all of the settings up front and that could be easily accessed. Attention to detail is what makes a game stand out and Home Makeover 3 just doesn’t have it. Even though I didn’t care for the game, as always, please try the demo to see if this one is for you.
I recommend this game!

After the last game in the Dark Dimensions series I had told myself that I was through with this series but then a new one comes my way and I at least had to give it a try. It does look like the series has been somewhat revamped with a new look and a new storyline. You haven’t seen your friend Ashley in quite a long time and now she needs your help. Ashely has done well for herself and is now a radio personality but with fame comes the threat of unwanted attention and Ashley fears she is being stalked. What can a friend do but rush off to help and that is exactly what has you entrenched in a new dark dimension.
The game offers four modes of gameplay: Casual, Advanced, Hard, and Custom If you select the Custom mode you can set your hint and puzzle skips to recharge anywhere from 1 to 100 seconds. You can also turn of the search click penalty and fiddle with other settings so you can play the way you like.
The graphics are updated and fairly sleek with the feel of computer generated graphics. The color palette still uses quite a bit of mauve and blue but overall they are not too bad. The voiceovers are good and the lip-syncing is much better than in some recent games.
Your tools include yet another gimmick, this time a lantern that is used to get rid of the dark shadows, and yes you do have to play a mini-game to get the thing working. You also have a journal that keeps track of game information. You will find the interactive transporter type map during the first HOP in the game.
The HOPs include a variety of styles and they are interactive with the objects being clear and well defined which made them easier to spot. The puzzles are not difficult but they are fun and some require a bit of thought but nothing too taxing. I particularly liked the first puzzle that is a sort of slider type where we combine pieces to make a complete item.
I have to admit that by the time the demo ended I was looking forward to purchasing the full game. Of course there was a sort of cliff-hanger finish so I knew I had to find out more. The gameplay was more fun than I expected so I guess I am not too jaded and can still enjoy the entertainment value of HOPA games. Yes I know, all of them are very similar and seem to follow a set pattern of find this and do that, then solve a puzzle for a bit of a break but I still love the genre and can generally find something I love in each new game that comes along. The plus for me with Dark Dimensions Shadow Pirouette is that it is much better than I thought it would be and that was a nice surprise. Even though I am a hopeless HOPA game fanatic and can always find something I like, as always, I recommend that you at least try the demo to see if this is a game you will enjoy.
I recommend this game!

A sad fairy named Elleth, has arrived in Flywind to seek the help of a Weather Lord, a very powerful warlock, who she knows can stop the damage being caused in her home kingdom of Lorraine. Victor, who has deposed his uncle and is now the leader of his kingdom, is only too happy to help since he is eager to meet the beautiful princess Olivia who is being held captive in her very own tower. So off I go on my quest to restore the damage that has been done to the Kingdom of Lorraine and hopefully to win the heart of the beautiful Princess Olivia.
The game has only two modes of gameplay, either Expert or Casual. Being a “newbie” in the TM games I find them a bit challenging and sometimes frustrating so I appreciate the fact that there is a casual mode where I can play at my leisure. Maybe someday when I become better with this type of game I will want to play with a higher level of challenge but for now I am finding it very entertaining to complete the tasks without having to beat the clock. The graphics are very cute and even though they are cartoonish, they are colorful and very sharp which makes it easier to distinguish some of the smaller items on the screen. As is the case in all these TM games, the music is rather bouncy but I did have to turn the volume down as it was annoying even though there are several different sound tracks. There are no voiceovers but the sound effects are those we would expect in this type of game.
Since I am fairly new to the TM genre, the most valuable item in the CE version of the game is the Strategy Guide or walkthrough that I know will be quite helpful when I am just not sure what to do next. We will discover and collect artifacts during the game but I am not sure if those are only a part of the CE version. The other extras include wallpapers, the music tracks, and cartoons that are basically a replay of the dialogues that occur in the game. One thing that I noticed is that the dialogues can be a bit long and I felt they disappeared before I could finish reading so maybe it is a good thing that they are included as an extra.
Although I am not a huge fan of the TM games, I found Weather Lord Following the Princess to be what I consider to be one of the better games in the genre and an entertaining change of pace from the games I normally play. Even though I think the game is quite a bit of fun, as always, I recommend that you try the demo to see if this is a game you will enjoy.
I recommend this game!

As we begin the game we see that our old friend Professor Bennett from the last Amaranthine Voyage is back and you, playing the game as Eve Glover, are once again working with the CCPP. As the leading expert in the field of Harmonium, your help has been requested as a visitor from another has shown up on the professor’s “doorstep”. Kraixx has crossed through a portal to seek our help to save his world from doom caused by dark Harmonium energy that has gone awry. Unfortunately, it appears that our visitor has brought an unwelcome dark energy with him so now Earth is in the same boat. Follow Kraixx back to his world and help him overturn the Watchers and restore the balance in this new game in the Amaranthine Voyage series - The Orb of Purity.
There are six chapters to the main game plus the bonus game. You can select from a choice of four modes of gameplay: Easy, Medium, Hard, and Custom. If you choose the custom mode you can set the hint recharge time in a range from 10 to 120 seconds and puzzle skips from 10 to 400 seconds. There are other settings you can fiddle with and most importantly, at least IMHO, is that you can turn of the click penalty. Of course with this being a game from my favorite game developer, I know that I am getting top quality in graphics and sound. Not to mention excellent gameplay!
After formulating a cure for Kriaxx we receive a special gauntlet from him that will absorb both light and dark energy but, of course, we must play a mini-game in order to charge the gauntlet prior to use so it is basically another time filling gimmick. If I like the mini-games I am not as bored by these gimmicks but in some games they are rather a nuisance to complete when I need to get on with saving someone or something – lol. We also have an interactive transporter type map that is located on the right side of the user interface area.
The HOPs include a variety of types with some requiring that we find so many of a certain item where others are the type where we find items based on silhouette. There is also my favorite list type included in the mix but no matter the type of scene many are quite interactive and that increases the fun. The puzzles include rotating items to a specific location, matching of rune figures, and there is at least one super puzzle during the game’s demo that can be a bit tricky. I love these multi-faceted puzzles that require a bit more thought to solve. All in all, the HOPs and puzzles are terrific and even though some of the puzzles might seem easy, there is a good mix of difficulty so there is something for everyone.
The Amaranthine Voyage series includes some of my favorite games although I wasn’t too thrilled with the last game in the series, so fortunately The Orb of Purity seems to be a much more stimulating and entertaining game. I love any game has a sci-fi theme and this one is right up my alley more so than the recent Amaranthine Voyage games. The storyline is quite good and I really want to help Kraixx put his world in order. Of course I am really not too sure who the bad guys are here but it won’t be long before I figure it all out and in the meanwhile I have an entertaining day ahead as I delve into The Orb of Purity. Needless to say the game was an instant purchase for me but, as always, I recommend that you try the demo to see if this is a game you will enjoy.

If you are a fan of TM games then you are sure to love Incredible Dracula Chasing Love. What an “incredible” game. As far as TM games go, this is probably one of the best I have seen.
The graphics are excellent and what makes this game so much fun is the awesome voiceovers and sound effects. I love the heavy sigh of your helper as he collects the various items you require. Another nice feature, particularly for me, is the ability to play the game in a relaxed mode. I enjoy all the specifics such as collecting food, gold, and bricks but I hate rushing around to beat the clock.
The premise of the game is the same as in all TM games we collect resources that allow us to complete specific tasks. When we collect certain resources in Incredible Dracula we have the ability to create potions so we can change into a bat or perform some other task.
If you enjoy playing TM games with the younger members of your family, Incredible Dracula is a game that will keep them entertained for hours. A great game to play any time of the year but one that will be extra special as Halloween treat. As many of you may know I am not a big fan of the TM genre but when a game as fun and entertaining as Incredible Dracula comes my way, it is hard to ignore it. I recommend this game to anyone who wants to have fun and enjoy helping Dracula escape the bonds of matrimony. Congratulations to the developer who created an awesome TM game. I hope to see more like this one. Even though I really enjoy the game, I recommend you try the demo to see if you agree.

Jewel Match Twilight is a fun and entertaining match 3 type game that has a Halloween theme on the tiles that include frogs, bats, pumpkins, witches hats, and cauldrons. The game comes just in time for this spooky time of year.
Jewel Match offers three modes of gameplay: Relaxed, Time Limited, or Moves Limited. The graphics are very good and I really like the Halloween themed tiles. Aside from the modes of gameplay the game has many other settings and one that I like allows us to increase the size of the tiles. When the game first opens the default is to smaller tiles. We lose a tiny bit of resolution when the tile size is increased but not so much that it deteriorates the graphics.
If you are looking for a fun, Halloween themed puzzle type match 3 game then Jewel Match Twilight might just be the game for you. I enjoyed the demo and know that it will be one I want to add to my collection. As always, I recommend you try the demo to see if this is a game you will enjoy.

Fantasy Mosaics 11 is here and it is as wonderful as the other games in the series. This time our penguin family has left behind the inhospitable prehistoric world and is now ready to find a new forest home. Join them on a new adventure as you solve the colorful and challenging boards in Fantasy Mosaics 11.
The multi-colored boards are as crisp and colorful as usual accompanied by gorgeous background graphics. I love the relaxing background music that soothes me as I play through the levels.
One of the things I noticed right away is that from the very beginning the boards seem a bit more challenging. In previous games the boards were fairly easy to complete but not so with Fantasy Mosaics 10 and now 11 that follows with that increased level of challenge.
It goes without saying that this game was an instant buy for me. I have all of the other Fantasy Mosaics games and never tire of them. I was very thrilled to see Fantasy Mosaics 11 as today’s soft release. If I have one complaint it is simply that we have to wait so long to get these fantastic games because they have been released elsewhere for weeks. Maybe BFG can try to offer the Fantasy Mosaics games as soon as other distributors in the future. I recommend that you try the demo to see if you will also love the Fantasy Mosaic games.
I recommend this game!

Yes detective, the Queen herself has requested your assistance with a case surrounding the sale of Ravenhearst Manor and now you must revisit the infamous mansion even though you might not want to face your greatest fears once again. Agent Barker has been working undercover on the case and he is now your point of contact but, unfortunately, his cover has been blown so you will take over the case. Shortly after arrival you receive a mysterious and eerie box from agent Barker but once you open it, you realize that the agent is in danger. Are you ready to once again step into Ravenhearst and see what horrors might await you this time?
The game offers four modes of gameplay: Regular, Hard, Insane, and Custom. If you choose the Custom setting you can fiddle with different settings to set up the game for the way you like to play. In the Custom mode the hints will recharge in a range of 10 – 120 seconds and the puzzle skips can be set in a range of 10 – 400 seconds. You can also turn of the rapid search penalty if you wish.
Our tools include the interactive map and a box that we acquire early in the game. Although the box isn’t really a tool, as we complete various puzzles we gain more knowledge and sometimes new items.
The HOP scenes are some of the best I have seen in recent games and they do have a variety of different styles. The first HOP is the standard list type with some interaction that is required to find a few of the items, but the HOP that followed was a very interactive silhouette scene that proved to be quite challenging. Many of the HOPS seem a bit more challenging than the norm but I liked them a lot. Then we come to the puzzles that I can only say are excellent, particularly the Rube-Goldberg or super puzzle that we encounter fairly early in the game. It is then followed by a puzzle in the museum that I also found challenging while trying to figure out the code. Other puzzles include one where we must connect the correct pipes to get the water flowing. We also need to retrieve gloves with a fishing pole. Some of the puzzles were different than norm or if they seemed familiar there was certainly a different spin on how they work. I must say that I haven’t been this excited about the puzzles in a game in quite some time.
In the CE version of the game there are 34 ravens to collect that can be found throughout the manor. There are achievements to earn as well as the other standard extras such as wallpapers, artwork, music, replay of HOPS and puzzles, Bonus Game, Strategy Guide and more.
The Ravenhearst storyline has not been my favorite in the MCF series and I had hoped that the series was finally at its end; however, after playing the demo for the game I am certainly happy to once again to wander through Ravenhearst. IMHO, the developer has done an incredible job and nailed the challenge of bringing back the evil genius and insanity of Charles Dalimar in a game that I am sure many of you have been eagerly awaiting. I must admit that I find the game very challenging and ultimately enjoyable. Everything about this newest Ravenhearst game is top quality, from the graphics on down to the HOPS and the puzzles. I am ready to now face my fears and jump into Key to Ravenhearst and gain more insight into the mind and spirit of Charles Dalimar. If you perhaps joined me in wanting to see an end to this storyline, I highly recommend that you plunge in and give Mystery Case Files Key to Ravenhearst a chance to see if you will find this one worth waiting for. Kudos to the developer for making Key to Ravenhearst a terrific game.
I recommend this game!

Hospital Manager is seriously an older TM game. If I am not mistaken I saw this one ages ago and passed on it then.
Although the graphics are very basic and clear, the sound is very annoying. I am not sure why most of the TM games have this type of music but it drives me up the wall. Not only is the music annoying there are no voiceovers so everything must be read in order to have any understanding of the game. This particular dev seems to crank out these low budget games one after another and they are so lacking in comparison to some of the top-notch TM games out on the market. The instructions for the game are lacking but how many instructions does one need when playing this type of game. Yes, TM games are not my favorite genre and they need to be something special to attract my wallet. Hospital Manager is not one of those games. It didn’t attract me when I first saw it and nothing has changed.
If you are really, really, really into TM games then you might possibly love this one. As for me it is a definite pass.
I don't recommend this game.
