This game is great fun -- perfect for pure hidden object play. I stopped right in the middle of the demo and purchased the game!!! While I do enjoy the more intense and difficult HOGs, this one is a delightful change of pace.
Wow -- what a huge disappointment! The first installment of Donna Brave was a great game, but oh my, this one is awful. Except for the flapper-attired cousin, none of the clothing and hairstyles fit the time period of the game. And the back and forth and back and forth fixing broken items and finding keys was quite monotonous.
The Cruise Director and Park Ranger series have become my favorite offerings from Big Fish. The play is pure fun -- tons of hidden objects to find and bright, cheery graphics. There are no evil spirits, demons, maidens in distress, or kingdoms to be saved. And the annoying mini-games are in between scenes and can be skipped. I abhor mini-games -- they ruin the game for me. If you're looking for doom and gloom along with an abundance of mini-games, this game isn't for you. This is a delightful Hidden Object game
How this game made it into the Hidden Object genre, I'll never know!!! If you like playing puzzles and not much else, then this game is for you. It's simply one puzzle after the next, with a Hidden Object Scene upon rare occasion. And why don't the developers offer the Match 3 option for puzzles??? Now that's a mystery. It's a Hidden Object game to be played for hidden objects; yet the Match 3 option is given instead of playing the Hidden Object Scenes. It makes no sense. I won't be spending my money on this dud.
This game provides a lot of fun for those who are pure Hidden Object enthusiasts. Each scene is filled to the brim with Hidden Objects -- lots to find. Thankfully, the mini-games are minimal. Also, there's not a ton of inventory baggage to drag around throughout the game. Factory Katz: The Grand Banquet is a gem and a rarity in today's offerings of Hidden Object games. Oh, and no sneakers required!!!
I have all of the Park Ranger games and truly enjoy this series. It's pure, light-hearted entertainment -- no doom and gloom, evil spirits/demons, or having to save the world from destruction. The graphics are colorful, cheery, bright, and uplifting. Best of all, it really is a HIDDEN OBJECT game!!! Finding this type of HOG is a rarity as it seems as though most have morphed into nothing more than inventory-laden puzzles and minigames sprinkled with a few gratuitous Hidden Object scenes. This game is purely fun, fun, fun, with loads of hidden objects to find in a very pleasant environment.
My review is based on the demo, which I completed. This is a puzzle game with a few gratuitous HOS. I almost always skip every puzzle/mini game as I find them annoying at best. The skip button in this game is beyond slow. I found myself getting up and leaving to do other things while it was charging. If the developers insist on continuing to flood HOGs with them, then either make the skip feature an immediate action or put a Match 3 in their place. And that's another concept I can't figure out -- if it's a HOG, why are there Match 3 alternatives in the HOS instead of in the puzzle/mini-games?
My review is based on the demo only. This game has too many puzzles/mini games to make it enjoyable. When I encounter those before the first hidden object scene, I know the game isn't worth my money.
My review is based on playing the demo only. There are simply too many annoying puzzles/mini games to make this game enjoyable. Plus, the skip button takes too long to charge. Perhaps one of these days Big Fish will present a HIDDEN OBJECT GAME wherein the HOS actually outnumber the puzzles/mini games. Until they do, I am not making any purchases. I do believe it may be time to cancel my Big Fish membership.
My review is based on the demo. I had so much fun playing this game. If you love looking for hidden objects, this is the game. An added bonus is only ONE inventory item per scene, which is used immediately within that scene. This is an old school type of Hidden Object Game -- reminds me of the games that built Big Fish. Thank you for remembering the customers who provided you with much support in the early stages of your development. I'm definitely purchasing this game.
