I was a bit on the fence with this one but spent a credit and glad I did. My opinion is this one is better than the first one , better artwork as we all know I'm a sucker for hand drawn, and its got COLOR! just cant play anymore games that are dark green brown and gray all blurred together. Plus the teddy bear had me at hello.
To save your father from a hideous monster, you've decided to sacrifice your own freedom. Now you must journey through a strange and magical land before time runs out!
didn't think twice, its an ERS its a buy! I can look at their hand drawn scenery all day every day, as I rarely delete an ERs game . the HOs are a mixture of lists[ which I love] along with find 15 of these [ I like those too] and sillouettes [ my least favorite] The mini games and puzzles were very good you'll see some new ones and different twists on old ones. The best part for me is the people are so well drawn its amazing! No real people in these games! Thanks ERS
I like this game better than nevertales, maybe I'm the odd one out, but I like junk pile list HO's I like sparkles especially when they are theme oriented like blue music notes in the maestro series. I liked the morphing objects, they aren't that easy to find, I've only got half so far, don't know yet if they continue on in the bonus. there are 60 stone coins to collect puzzles are pretty good too the only thing I don't like is how the scenery changes from beautiful hand drawn colorful scenes to washed out photographed picture scenes faded to tan color. voice overs weren't the greatest but at least there are no real people in the game! sorry but I detest the use of people in these games, won't buy it if I see any. the one exception being Victor in the Ravenhearst series of course.
This game has everything I look for, hand drawn scenery, not a lot of dialog list HOs [ I love em] a little interactive [enough 4 me] and the best puzzles I've seen in a while. the game is easy to follow takes the logical route most games for me are play and delete, yes even many collector eds too , but I think I'll keep this one for awhile.
for me it's not about the challenge anymore [frankly it's just a lack of time] I want more of the relaxing and enjoyable aspects.
this game has it all. finally. I know what it is about this game, besides the collectables, the owls are really cool they make a neat noise when you click on them. I didn't notice any music but great sound effects and voices when the story was being told. good jumping map with indicators but don't use much when the scenery is this awesome.
but anyway this is a cross between elephant and ers! the artwork is hand drawn , my favorite and the ers part and the vibrant colors had me at hello, the elly part!
almost passed this up cuz of the file size, so glad I changed my mind. this ones a keeper for me
did I mention I LOVE THIS GAME !
PS the head producer for this game [ I.V. ] is also the head producer for elephant games
can't believe this game was rated so high! Spent a freebie on it, wish I hadn't. This games graphics were not the same as the sample slides, had glitches all the time, where only part of the scene was there , had to keep backing out of then returning to get more of the scene. see even my newer computer didn't like it. lol The only thing I did like was the puzzles/mini games, good selection, fun to play.
My fault I tend to buy first by reviews instead of playing the demos.
not sure where to begin! What happened to the artists from the first Isabella? If you played the first one you'd remember the stunning colors and artwork and great game mechanics, they completely lost their way in the second game, and seems they lost the artists in the third.
I was very dissapointed with the artwork, so much so that it distracted me the entire game, kept waiting for it to get better. Well it finally did,but in the bonus chapter! welcome back
What I did like was the game mechanics. just love HOs, yes the item lists and find 12 or 20 of dont care if interactive [ I like to time on how fast I find things, never use hints for HOs]
The puzzles were great, a nice mix, and I love puzzles and mini games.
I really liked the story, I know same old, but I play these games for pleasure rest and relaxation, I love fantasy mythology, fairies, castles and old mansions. dont like space ships, real cities, and absolutely detest real people in games.
this is not for those wanting a challenge, I think it is geared more for the young or young at heart.
I only gave it 3 stars should be 3.5 I think a lot of people would enjoy playing with their kids. dont usually hype 4 CEs , but the bonus chapter was the best part art wise. and it was a good sale.
I enjoyed playing the game, loved the map, but almost drove myself crazy trying to spot the morphing objects. I was POed finding they took them out of the SE. I loved the first sacra Terra SE , it had the morphing items. But now it's a play twice and delete for me. I can't honestly recommend a game that has me so tee'd off.
I think I've seen this game before, I demoed it at least a year ago and have been looking for it. this is not a HOG A very good puzzle adventure beautiful artwork with loads of color puzzles [tons of them] range from easy to hard. I'm a puzzle lover and I had to finally skip a few. The game had several find 10 of this or that no map but no to much backtracking helpful hint button so if your a puzzle fan and tired of all gray games, give it a try I think you'll enjoy.
This is truely a wonderful game. It has everything! [except morphing objects]. I can't remember being so caught up in a story, then add the color, all that glorious color, an excellent mixture of HOs and puzzles and adventure and you have a perfect game! helpful hints a jumping map you'll be enthralled for hours this easilly gets my vote for game of the year! my favorite devs have always been ERS but I think the Elephant hs been on a wild and wonderful rampage this year and has trampled all the competition! great job devs! Please don't miss this one!
