I love everything this company develops, but the "scapes" I think are my favorite. This one is a Match 3 with a little hidden object thrown in. The characters are amusing as in all Playrix games and you get to design the farm as you earn money from selling the crops produced by playing the match 3 games.
All of Playrix games are fun to play again and again and this one being on sale got me to dust it off and start a new game. Love it!!
I recommend this game!

I love this game. It was not your ordinary time travel game in any sense. The storyline was strong. Girl snoops around makes a mess of things, now we must sort it all out.
In doing so we have to fix a number of things, one of which is a toy who talks. (It's a game, go with it.) He want to repay you by playing a game of cards. If you win you get 20 diamonds. Diamonds is the currency in this town. I loved this little mini-game. I played it so much, I could buy the town. ;)
The game is challenging as you can tell from the number of forum posts. A lot of people seem to have just given up, but there is a walkthrough, which I admit to have used. It's a load of fun and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I had fun playing this even knowing what others had to say about it. Yes, there are some misspellings and such. But that's part of the fun - trying to decipher another country's word for an item.
The game is done in a cartoonish style and seems as though it may have been targeted for younger audiences. There are lots of gadgets at your disposal: night vision goggles, x-ray vision, a scanner and a super glove for lifting heavy items. I think another, but old age strikes the short term memory. ;)
I got about half way through the game according to the walkthrough, so I'm not sure I'll buy it. I would at a 2.99 sale or with a coupon though.

Everything is a little strange in this world. A dense fog (evil of course) has changed kittens into tigers and people into wood stumps. But you get a helpful racoon and baby dragon to help you on your way to saving the world from the evil man behind the fog.
The hint button works outside of HOS and the map is interactive, both of which are features I now expect from developers. The map also tells you where things need to be done. A great time saver! and then whisks you there if you wish.
There is a walkthrough for which I am always grateful. Particularly when in this case I started playing the game - some real life stuff intervened and I didn't get back to playing for a few days.
In all a very enjoyable game. A good balance of HOS and puzzles, none of which were insanely difficult.

I just love playing an enjoyable game and being able to laugh at the same time. This time we have Scarlett, an author, leave the city to break her writing block by buying a country estate. But of course, it needs a lot of work with our help. We hold garage sales to get rid of the stuff left behind from the former owners and with the proceeds brighten up the manor and find a friendly furry friend.
It's all great fun and the demo ended too soon, so I guess I'll have to buy it. hehe With over 100 levels I know I'll be entertained for hours. Can't wait!
I love this game and I don't say that often. I expect not many men will appreciate it because much of the game is in the story. For those that are having a difficult time seeing things, did you know you can adjust the brightness under options? Its a great feature. I wish all developers would adopt it. You also have a magnifier you can use and a lantern. I'm not sure what all the belly-aching is about.
Looking through the forum I discovered this is #2 in a trilogy, so I had to go get the first one as well. It's name is Antique Shop: Book of Souls.
Happy fishing and antiquing and a good summer for all. :$
I really liked this game , but there are so many out there to choose from these days . I just finished a game with no walkthrough and I felt I had been transported back in time when WT's didn't exist. It took alot longer than I generally want to invest in a standard edition game. It wouldn't be so bad if there was an active forum to help with the rough spots, but that's gone by the wayside as well.
So I am sorry to say I won't be buying Hope Lake even though if forced to rate it I would give it 4 stars
There are lots of aquarium games out there, but imo this is the best! The fish interact with you and each other and are so funny. At times I wanted to stick around to watch them rather than play the HOS. They tell each other stories, and one sang a Beatle song. So funny!
There are 2 levels of play, timed or not. I chose relaxed because it is 3am and I'm not exactly bright eyed.
I ranked visual quality a little lower because of the murky HOS scenes. After all you are under water, but frankly I don't know how else they could continue to convey that if it was crystal clear.
I leveled up pretty fast and as you do, you can add more fish to the tank. At demo close I had 6. 2 were purchased with shells instead of coins - that's a novel idea.
I'm so excited about this game. It's an aquarium and a HOG. What more could you ask for. Oh, and it's from PlayRix. One of the developers I like best.
I won't rehash things people have already said. I did love this game because of the way they handled the HOS. Yes, the graphics are beautiful and pretty much everything i dislike in other game was absent here. :P
The fact that Giselle's name was pronounced differently didn't bother me. We Americans must get used to the fact that all our great games are produced in other countries. For all we know we may be pronouncing it incorrectly.
Anyway i loved the game and hope for more like it. I wish i had bought the CE and perhaps i will.
Notice to HOS fans - there are none in this game. There is however, lots of running back and forth. There is a map, but it is not interactive. The hint button is not useful at all unless you are IN the room the game wants you to do something.
Thank goodness for the walkthrough. I would never have finished this game without it. I have never been so disappointed in a game as this one.
