Had family for Easter weekend, so just go to this demo. Nice little game. Nothing special, but well done. Nice clear graphics and game play. Could definitely have benefited from voice over and would make a huge difference in the game. HOGs simple and clean, almost too easy. Games good. Hint system nice and filled quickly.
Game is very quiet, and not just because there are no voice overs. It's just a very quiet game, no real sound FX (at least I haven't run across any yet). Not challenging, but a change of pace and I find that refreshing. Some days, you just need simple. I get tired of the same old remakes with a new name. This game was fun and I liked it enough to purchase. I think this game will not only appeal to the beginner, but the advanced player who just wants a nice easy game for a change.

I also have the first 4 and enjoyed them all, but am really tired of the puppet thing. The sequel has been done to death, move on to something else.
The graphics were a bit fuzzy and not up to the usual ers standards. Music the same, HOGs same, game play nice. Nice help system, but very slow on recovery. I like voice overs in my games (sort of brings them to life), but the voices for the children seemed too old for their look and I am really tired of crying children.
Games were very simple and not challenging at all. I especially did not care for the location of the extras, e.g. SG, map, notes, etc. They were too cramped and close together.
The hat thing was silly, but kind of fun. All that being said, I did enjoy the game a little, but I will have to think about it for awhile. I'm sure I will add this one to my "Puppet" collection, just not sure it will be the CE. It just wasn't challenging enough for a CE.

Exceptional graphics and game play. Haven't seen a game like this in a very long time. Very nice voice overs, SG and jump map. Hint system was nice, but recovery was a little slow compared to most other games these days. Loved the HOGs, but some items were a little difficult to see, and I really enjoyed the HOG within the HOG...very different and fun. Games not difficult but take a little thought. Music was very nice, soft and quiet for a change. Even liked the sound that was made when you find an item..not annoying like most of them are.
I must admit that this game had me from the first scene. The bold, bright, but not over powering color was awesome. All players were well done and appropriate for their part in age, dress, voice...the whole ball of wax. The story line is different and interesting.
I have been trying to not purchase CE games and use up my credits, one of which expires next Sunday, but I must have this game to see how it plays out (had to have the last CE too!). Personally, I think this game will appeal to not only the expert players, but the beginners as well. It just seems to have it all.

Wow, one of the shortest demos I have had in a long time. . still had 29 minutes of play when it ended. I have the first two Secrets of the Dark games and enjoyed them both (the 2nd not as much as the 1st). This one is different.
Very nice graphics and game play. Games not difficult, but take a little thought. Music nice but I turn it down so it doesn't get annoying. Needs to have a bit more sound to the game and not just the music. Not a lot of voice overs, but well done.
Loved the HOGs. Very different and quite fun. You get tired of the same old stuff all the time, but this one is different by far. SG nice, stays on last page you left, nice hint system that fills quickly.
I especially like the fact that you don't have all the usual useless garbage under the bonus content. All I want to see is the bonus game and maybe replay some HOGs. Nicely done.
Not real hot on the "change the lighting thing," but I really enjoyed this game a lot and I was not ready to quit when the demo ended. I have been laying off CE games, but I think I have to have this one. Definite buy for me.

Graphics not bad, music very slow and boring. Game play okay, but also very slow. HOGs were a bit cluttered and some items difficult to see. Games were the usual and nothing new here. Hint refilled slowly and all it did was "rip" across the screen...didn't really help you at all.
Story was nothing new either. More of a "Twilight" rip-off and very boring. Dialogue was a bit childish and silly, although no voice overs. This game needed something to help it along, but I couldn't even finish the demo and I always do.
I have a credit about to expire, but I would rather lose it than spend it on a game that was so slow and boring. Been a long time since I have played a game that I just did not care for at all and would not recommend to even a beginner, but this is it. If we don't get some good SE's pretty quickly, I'm outta here! No buy for me...again and again.

Nice graphics and game play. Music nice. Games simple. Very nice hint system and fills fairly quickly. Really liked the voice-overs (always a plus for me).
I like HOG's and I think this would have benefited from a few here and there. There just seems to be something missing. Not a challenging game at all, but okay. Story line was a little fuzzy...just sort of started without any explanation. Need to find pages for the book to find out what and why.
Liked the little fuzzy animal. Not too sure about the "worms." Guess they have something to do with the CE version that we don't have. Liked the game, but prefer a combo game with HOG's. I'll have to think about this a bit. Didn't make me want to jump in and buy it, but it was a bit of fun.

I don't have either of the other games. Mostly because I prefer combo HOGs. This is a nice game, but not challenging. Not the usual quality you would expect from this dev. Graphics nice, but a bit blurry, music okay but got annoying, game play nice.
Did not like going to the same HOG twice in a row. Got very boring very quickly. Did not care for the sound you got when you found something. Games were extremely easy.
SG nice, hint system seemed about the same as usual. This game just didn't grab me like others have lately. Story line was just sort of ho-hum and nothing special to keep my interest past the demo. Sorry, no buy for me. I will recommen anyway.

This really isn't a bad game for a straight HOG. Graphics were nice, game play nice. HOGs a bit messy and junk pile. Games simple. Hint system...well, that left a lot to be desired.
Storyline sounded good, but voodoo dolls? Wow! Story was very choppy and several times, it made me wonder why I was doing what I was doing..no flow to the game. Needed something to liven it up a little. Music got very annoying very quickly.
Absolutely no frills on this one at all, but would be a nice game for a beginner. This one is too simple for me, so it is a pass.

Not a bad little game. Nice graphics and game play. Did not care for the click penalty notices...very annoying and really not necessary. Just make the cursor fade or spin or something simple.
Also didn't care for the hint system. Fairly long recovery time, compared to most other games and I especially didn't like to "read" my way through a game.
HOGs were a bit messy and some items very hard to see (blended colors). Don't remember seeing an orange sword before, but maybe it was suppose to look rusty. Games not difficult but a couple did take a bit of thought.
This would be a nice game for a beginner, or someone who just wants to float through a day without any excitement. This game did not seem challenging to me, nor did it make me want to run out and buy it. Just didn't strike my fancy today.

Interesting SE game. Not exceptionally difficult, but does take some thought. This is a nice game for beginners and for seasoned gamers who want something to do on a "nothing better to do" day. HOGs simple, games not too difficult (did skip a couple out of frustration). Music okay, game play nice, graphics were not bad.
Room to room movement was a bit odd, fading in and out and overlapping. Sort of makes you dizzy. Story line is a little fuzzy as well. Maybe it's just me, but there didn't seem to be a reason for a lot of movements.
The one thing I did not care for was the hint system. [b]POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT [/b]
When clicking on the hint, you frequently got arrows or hands to numerous locations. There was no real hint involved. It was quite annoying. I don't like using the WT to figure out what I am suppose to do and this hint was not really helpful. [b]END OF SPOILER ALERT[/b]
Not a bad game and I may use a credit to get this one, only because I have so many to use before I lose them. This one will go in my puddle until the 1st. Not going to lose any more bids at the end of the month.
