Wow, wow and wow! Need I say more? Well, I will anyway. I wasn't going to buy as many CEs this year as I have been, but then, here comes Elephant with another awesome game. Exceptional graphics and game play. HOGs nice and not difficult to find items. Games easy, but take a little thought. Very nice SG (although not as clear and realistic looking as the game itself). Only played 16 minutes before deciding to buy, so didn't use the hint system.
I absolutely love the voice overs. They completely fit the character and sound very convincing, not like someone just reading a line with no feeling. Probably the best I have seen so far. Really liked the beginning, really drew me in right away. Of course, I'm a huge Poe fan.
No, there really isn't anything new with the story line, a change here and there, but very well done, as always. I really like the extras within the game...makes it more interesting and fun.
As I said, this game drew me in from the beginning scene and I am purchasing today. I think this one would appeal to all HOG lovers, whatever your level of play may be. As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for it at all...I would be extremely surprised if you didn't. Thanks for the reviews.
I recommend this game!

I don't know this dev, so don't know if they are new or what. Graphics were old school and game play was nice. HOGs a bit junky. Sound okay. Games very simple. Hint system may be fast recovery, but not helpful...don't just tell me to look somewhere else, at least point me in the general direction. Music okay.
Voice overs just sounded like someone reading a line with no urgency or fear or whatever the scene called for. Very blah.
This game looked like something from 2-3 years ago and was not challenging at all. A beginner would like this game, except that there is a tremendous amount of unnecessary running back and forth.
This game did not make me want more when the demo ended, so it will not be a buy for me.

I have the first game and was excited to see this one finally come out. Nice graphics, although a bit cartoony; nice game play; very simple games; HOGs simple. Music nice, nice voice over; SG okay but I prefer the page not turn itself...I will go to the next page when I am ready. Didn't use the hint, so I don't know about that one, but did get a cudo for not using the hint button.
I was a bit disappointed. To me, this game was not exciting nor challenging. I do not have the need to purchase to see what happens next. This is a nice game for those who do not want a real challenge and just want to play a game, and I do buy games for that reason. That said, I liked the game, but didn't love it. I am trying not to buy so many CE games. I will purchase this game, but for now it goes in my puddle for a day that there is nothing better to do.

I actually enjoyed this game, even though it is pretty much a straight HOG. The graphics were nice (a bit grainy), HOGs were not bad (some very dark and hard to see areas), game play very nice.
Fast hint recovery, games simple, music nice (I always turn it down because I prefer to listen to the voices and background noises, with a hint of music for FX). Very nice voice overs (always a plus for me).
Although this was not a "spectacular" game, it was a very nice SE and one that kept my interest from the beginning. I got to the end of chapter 2 before my demo time ran out, so this obviously is not a very long game...either that, or I was just too fast...no, I think it's not very long. However, I was into the game enough to want to see who the nasty villain is, so I will use a credit for this one.
As always, try the game for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for it at all. Thanks for the reviews and have a great weekend!

I have the first two games in this series and really enjoyed them. This one is more of the same, no new story. Nice graphics, although a bit grainy. Very nice game play. I like the HOGs, but you need to change them up a bit and not stay on the same "find this and use it to get that" idea. Gets boring real fast. Games were very simple, too simple.
As for the SG...Please people, make the type just plain type. This is very difficult to read, as it makes everything look very blurry and tires the eyes very quickly. If it weren't for the blurr, I would buy this in a heartbeat. Fancy type is NOT going to sell a game.
The game itself is almost too quiet, not much voice interaction or music build up to keep it going. Yes, I do like the voice overs, but this game needs "actors" that have some emotion in their voice to make it more believeable. Started off good, but went down hill with the next voice.
Because of the SG, I will have to think about this a while, so it will go into my puddle for maybe later. Because I have the other two games, I will probably purchase this one as well, but have to really think on it a few days. Do I really need the SG? Can my eyes put up with the blur long enough to finish the game? This game was not bad, but not exceptional either. Not really up to the usual ERS standards. I will recommend this ONLY because it isn't a bad game.
As always, try the game for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for it at all. It is okay to disagree with a review.

I have a number of solitaire games and really enjoy playing them. This one has nice graphics and game play. Music gets annoying very quickly. Not a whole lot to do in this game, so got boring fast.
It has a different story line, but that just didn't hold my interest and I like pirates. Needs a little more to boost the play, but not sure what. There are no wild cards to help the game along, so it moves slowly and is more difficult to beat than other card games.
Fairway has always been my favorite, but I've been playing Chronicles of Emerland and really like that one a lot. This one could have been quite fun, but has no extras to make me want to keep playing. Maybe it changes as the game goes on, but didn't make me want to buy to find out. I recommend for people who just like to play solitaire with no challenge.

I too see a lot of very positive reviews for this game, but I'm not feeling quite as kicked out about it as others seem to be. The graphics are very nice, I really liked the "soothing" music, and the game play was nice. Story line...I like to know what's going on from the beginning, not as the game progresses. This one was a bit sketchy.
SG was standard, but it only showed the chapters you could play in the demo. I prefer seeing the total number of chapters so I can gauge approximately how long the game may be. Finding the little blimp was quite simple and not challenging at all. Games were very simple and HOGs were a bit messy. Like the voice over (always a plus for me).
All that said, this was not a bad game, but could easily have been much better. Too much dialoge and not enough game play. A lot of shoe leather used for just one item in a lot of cases. This game did not make me want to keep playing after the demo ended, but I will recommend it for beginners or intermediate players. For a seasoned gamer like myself, it just seemed a little too tame and boring. Sorry, no buy for me today and probably not as an SE either.

I do occasionally like straight adventure games, but mostly like the combo of adventure, HOG, FROG, etc. This game is pretty much adventure. Graphics were nice, game play good. Didn't run across any HOGs during demo. Hint system the usual.
This game seemed to be a bit old school. A lot of running back and forth to the same location, a lot of clicking. I don't care to have my hand held through a game, but this was a game without any real direction or explanation of what is happening. No I did not buy the first game either, so maybe that's my problem.
Anyway, the game drug along too slowly for me and had no real challenge. Therefore, I will not be buying it, even with the great sale going on this weekend. There are very few games that I don't find some reason to recommend purchase, but this is not one of them. Too bad, I really need to get rid of some credits.

Well, I was very unhappy with the last couple of Elephant games, which is extremely unusual for me. I have the first two Surface games and really enjoyed them, so was happy to see this one come out.
Elephant is back up to their usual superb performance with this one. It has all the extras a really good CE (or SE) should have, including a "special" extra (finding the flowers to use later). Graphics and game play are excellent. Not a lot of HOGs, but enough other things to do to keep you busy and interested in what is happening. Games nice, especially liked the "heart" puzzle...now that was new and a lot of fun!
Didn't use the hint system, so not sure about that part of it. SG was very nice and I like the fact that it stays on the last page you looked at. Voice overs very nice (always a plus for me)
Looks to be a fairly long game, which is a major selling point for me. Yes, you are looking for your brother, but the story line is a bit different and kept me wanting more when the demo ended. I was going to swear off CE games until I used up all my game credits, but I really need to see how this one plays out. Definite buy for me.

Elephant is one of my favorite devs, but I have been very disappointed in the last couple of games they put out. This one is up to their usual excellent graphics and game play. Nice SG and hint system. Simple games. HOGs nice, but need a bit of a change up and not straight "place it here." A different story line for a change and I like the voice overs, although not much talking.
This game did not have anything exceptional...no morphing objects, or anything extra or unusual to find to help within the game. Very disappointing on that level, because there isn't much challenge.
I got through the "one hour" demo with 23 minutes to spare. I was heading to the next "help me" when it ended, so that means I have 3 more chapters and a bonus chapter left. If the other chapters take the same amount of time to complete, this will be a short game (anything under 3 hours is very short). This game did not hook me in from the beginning, but it was enjoyable. I don't feel it is CE worthy because of the length, but I will wait until the SE comes out and add it to my Elephant collection.
As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for it at all. Thanks for the reviews.
