Nightmare Realm: In the End... Collector's Edition
When your daughter, Emily, is taken over by a mysterious force, you must travel to the Nightmare Realm to search for a cure. But nothing could have prepared you for what you find there…
Wow, it's been over a year since the first game came out...long time for a sequel. I really liked the first game, but this one didn't keep me on my toes as much as the first, and not much in the way of HOGs (only saw one so far-should have more than one in two chapters#. I do agree that you really should play the first game before this one, to better understand what is happening.
Nice graphics and game play #although it did bog down in a few places, especially the SG#. Did like the fact that all of the chapters were listed in the SG, even if you couldn't open them, but do not care for SGs that turn the page for you #silly, yes, but I'd rather do it myself...maybe I'm not ready to go to the next page yet#. Games not difficult, but take a bit of thought. Finding the 36 items you need to find is a bit difficult, as they blend in quite well to the scenery and some scenes have more than one #arrrrrrgh#. This game could definitely have benefited from voice overs. Music got annoying very quickly.
All that being said, I did like this one, not love it like the first, but liked it enough to buy it and see how they save Dad #if they do). Will wait to get this one "next year," since it won't give me enough for another credit this year.
As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may thoroughly love this one, or not care for it at all. Thanks for the reviews.

The Missing: Island of Lost Ships
After setting out to search for your missing friend, you find yourself trapped on the mysterious Island of Lost Ships.
Well, I guess I'm one of the few with my review. The game has very nice graphics and game play, easy games and the HOGs are a bit junky. Music okay.
The game moved a bit too slow for me and seemed fairly simple. More for the beginner. It was cute, but not challenging enough for me to purchase. Being female though, I may change my mind when I have nothing better to do with my day. Wish we had a "not bad" and not just recommend or not recommend...this one is "not bad."

Spirits of Mystery: The Dark Minotaur Collector's Edition
Find out who stole your magic animals, and reveal the secret of the Dark Minotaur.
Yes, this game isn't quite up to the ERS par level, but still an exceptional game. The close up of the prince/king, whatever he is, was amazing...very realistic. ERS is one of my very favorite devs. Game play was very nice, voice overs always a plus for me. Games were fairly simple and some very different and quite fun, HOGs nice and fun.
Okay, another witch, but witches seem to play better than warlocks. They just seem to have a bit more umph than a man (sorry guys). I like the story line with the animals and the interaction you need to have with them. This is fun and very different.
Nice SG, but I wish devs would get the hint that it's nice to see the whole list of chapters up front. Usually, when it only shows 2, the game is very short. I got through the first 2 chapters with 13 minutes to spare, so hopefully this game is much longer than that. I turn into a "witch" when I spend money on a very short game!
Anyway, a buy for me, to add to my ERS collection of games. As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for it at all. Thanks for the reviews.

The Lake House: Children of Silence Collector's Edition
Long-forgotten memories bubble to the surface when the past invades the present in the Collector's Edition of Lake House: Children of Silence!
Well, everyone else has pretty much said it all. Excellent graphics and game play. I liked the combo HOGs for a little change now and then without being over done. Music is nice, games simple.
The only thing I really did care for is the SG, and this is the only reason I did not give it 5 stars. I really don't like to decipher a picture and try to figure out where something is in a scene. I much prefer written instructions, or at least a little written instruction.
Anyway, this was a very nice game. Looks to be a nice length as well. I need to think about this a bit before I decide to buy or not...mostly because of the SG. I'm sure I will probably end up getting it anyway.

Big City Adventure: Paris
Romantic Paris awaits you on your next Big City Adventure!
I love the BCA games and have them all. This is the best straight HOG game you can find. Yes, same music as all the others and same cluttered mess, but it's fun and I like them. Nice graphics and game play. Simple games. HOGs nice, but some items are in very dark places.
Not as many coins to find this time though. I liked finding the different coins, but time it's just for hints and skips.
The only things I really, and I mean really, didn't care for at all was the postcards. The "oil brush stroke" look is way over done and extremely blurry. Absolutely no need for it in the first place. It literally hurts my eyes to look at them, even with glasses!
That said, I am going to purchase this game because I like this series. I'll just close my eyes when the postcard comes up...guess I'll squint real hard when the jigsaw puzzle comes up too (same as postcards).
Mainly the only reason I didn't give this game a 5 was because of the postcards. Other than that, the graphics are very nice.

Reality Show: Fatal Shot Collector's Edition
After a man is murdered on a hit reality TV show, you are called in to uncover the truth behind the crime.
Well, I actually don't really care for straight adventure games, but I tried this one anyway, since it is an ERS game. Graphics and game play were exceptional, as usual. Fast hint recovery. Didn't care for the background color or the print in the SG... was hard to read. Music nice, games simple. Very nice voice overs, which is always a plus for me.
As I said, I prefer a mixture of action, adventure, HOGs in my games, but this was a very nice game. It has a nice, different story line for a change, so I think adventurers will find it quite enjoyable. Unfortunately, it is not for me, so I won't be adding it to my large collection of ERS games today. However, being female, I could change my mind. :-)

The Curse of the Werewolves
Travel to a family manor and lift the mysterious Curse of the Werewolves in this blood-chilling and enthralling Hidden Object Adventure!
I agree, some items were extremely small and the areas were way too dark. Graphics seemed good, music okay (I like sound FX, but not necessarily music), HOGs were pretty much junk piles. Some movements were a bit choppy.
This could have been a very nice little game without much help. I couldn't finish the demo, because I got a headache trying to find some items. Not worth it to me..guess my eyes are too old. Too bad.

Dr. Mal: Practice of Horror
Brace yourself for the graveyard shift at Dr Mal's Practice of Horror!
I like solitair games and have 3 that I play regularly. This one is just weird. The graphics are okay for what they are. The game play is okay. They music about drove me nuts and the characters are just too goofy. There are very few games that I don't recommend (mainly because there is something of interest in it#, but this isn't one of them.
There wasn't any challenge to this game and it really wasn't fun. There was no real purpose to what was going on and it got very boring very quickly. Personally, I don't think this is for adults and not too sure about the kids #too silly). Definite no buy for me on this one.

The Torment of Whitewall Collector's Edition
Only one girl has survived the mysterious attacks on Whitewall, but she’s not talking… So they’ve called you in to end the town’s terrible torment!
Hmmmm. Not a bad game, not exceptional either. Graphics are pretty good, but a bit grainy. Nice voice overs (always a plus for me). Music not bad either. Game play seems good. Didn't care for the constant swaying of the characters..made me think of Captain Jack Sparrow.
Hint system worked well. SG not bad, not wordy like a lot of them. On the fence about this one. Yes, I do want to find out what is happening, but I prefer knowing how long the game is before I purchase one. I did like this one (not love it) and will probably purchase later, but not sure it is worth the CE price. Just didn't feel like a CE. Seemed too short, but I could be wrong.
I actually want to give this a 3.5. For now, this one goes in my puddle for later, before tossing into the pond with the rest of my games. As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may really like it, or not. Thanks for the reviews.

Fairly Twisted Tales: The Price Of A Rose
To save her father, Bella vowed to stay with the beast, but is he truly evil? Help Bella follow her heart!
Minor complaint (and personal preference)..we do enough clicking around in a game while playing, without the need to click again on an item we already picked up (rather annoying and a waste of time). Anyway, not a bad game at all.
Nice clear graphics, although a bit cartoon like. Love the accent in the voice-over, although Belle sounds a bit put on. Game play nice, music okay. Didn't care for the first HOG...I prefer color in my HOGs so I can find things easier. I don't mind the need to really look for them, but monochrome is really boring and it doesn't play nice with your eyes.
Hint seems to recover quickly and is helpful. I think I need to pay more attention to the book in this game. It's hard for me to do, because I like to play and do not want to have to read my way through a game.
That being said, this was a nice little game. Nothing new or exciting, not exceptional, but a nice SE for a change. Thanks!!! Slightly different twist on a very old story. I am going to use a credit for this one.
