Very nice game. A little different story line, yes, still someone looking for someone, but still a bit different. Excellent graphics and game play. Nice voice overs. HOGs a little different as well (I like this type of HOG...very fun). Games not difficult, but do take some thought. Music not too bad, but does get a bit boring after a while (I just turn it down lower so I can hear everything else). Nice hint system and very clear and specific SG.
The sound FX are excellent and well played in the proper place and time in the game. Not spooky to me, but did keep me going and wanting to see what happens next. I really enjoyed this game and most definitely will purchase today, especially with the special going on right now.
As always, don't just take my word for it, try it yourself and see what you think. Everyone has different tastes. Thanks for the reviews.
I recommend this game!

Cute little game, but extremely simple. My grandson found it too easy and he's only 8. Nice graphics, although very simple and old school. Music okay but get annoying very quickly. Not really much to do anywhere in the game. Did not care for the hint system at all (please give me a real hint when I need one and a little direction).
Extreme beginners might enjoy this game, but I personally found it to be very childish and simple. Not for me today. Thanks for the reviews.
I don't recommend this game.

I wasn't kicked out about the CE version and was hoping I would be about the SE (I know, same thing, but was hoping my thoughts had changed over time). Not. I have the other 3 Awakening games and really liked them, but this one just sort of drug along. Grahics were okay, but could have been better after 3 other tries. Music got very annoying very quickly. Game play was a bit choppy in places. HOGs simple, games simple.
This was sitting in my puddle for "maybe later," but it just didn't make me want to buy it even as an SE. It isn't a bad game, just not the usual standard from this dev. This one would be a very nice game for a beginner or even an intermediate player, but not challenging enough for me personally.
As always, try it for yourself and make up your own mind. Unless a game is extremely bad (and we have had a few), I will always recommend it so you will at least try it, even if I don't care for it. Thanks for the reviews.
I recommend this game!

"I'm sorry for dragging you into this mess..." really? He doesn't sound like someone about to be blown up, or in extreme danger. He sounds bored. I would have been telling her to get the heck out of here!
I have the other two Haunted Hall games and really liked them. The graphics and game play are as expected from ERS, exceptional. Music is old and boring. HOGs, I like the silhouette stuff, but a little goes a very long way and gets very old very quickly. Needed to mix it up. Games are very simple.
I am not kicked out about this game, but I liked it well enough to buy it...mostly because I already have the others in the series (I know, stupid reason to spend $15). All in all, this one doesn't quite live up to the first two, but hopefully the next one will be far better, if there is another in the works.
Make up your own mind and go from there. Thanks for the reviews.
I recommend this game!

Story line is different for a change. HOGs are junk piles, but a little different game play while in them. Graphics not bad, but could be better..clean and clear. Game play nice, music okay.
Choosing what to say in answer to a question is okay, but don't think it makes a difference on the outcome of the game. At least, it didn't seem to.
This one definitely needs a walkthrough. One move does not give you a hint as to what to do next, or where to go next.
This is not a bad game, but did not make me want to run out and buy it to see what happened next. Did not find it especially fun or challenging, but I'm sure others will. As with all other games, you need to try it for yourself and make up your own mind. I only recommend the game because the game play and such was nice. Thanks for the reviews.

I am not familiar with this dev, but there are so many, I can't remember them all anyway. Like so many others, I am fascinated by the mystery of Houdini, but this game just didn't grab me...no "WOW" factor. Partly because I'm not sure of the story line. A bit hard to follow what is happening or why.
That said, the graphics and game play were excellent, music nice, games easy, HOGs simple. Didn't use the hint, so don't know about that system.
Nice SG, except that you need to tell us how to get back to a place, e.g. back 2, left one, up and right, etc), rather than "go back to the barn." So much jumping around that it is difficult sometimes to remember where something is. Otherwise, give us a jump map. Time saver and very helpful.
I did like this game and will purchase, but not right now. This one I will put on hold in the puddle for a CE special or something. Thanks for the reviews.

The game wasn't bad, but not really good either. Badly in need of voice-overs and sound FX. No FX made the game rather boring and ho-hum to me.
Game play was nice, graphics nice, music annoying because that's pretty much all you heard throughout the game. A couple of different games (skulls) that were fun. HOGs few and far between and quite dark in some areas. Actually had to use the hint for a few items.
A simple little SE that wasn't very challenging to me, but would be nice for more of a beginner or if you just didn't have anything better to do. I occasionally like this type of game myself. For this reason, I do recommend the game and am adding it to my puddle...maybe for the future. I had gotten into the castle when my time ran out and still had 24 minutes of game play, so this looks to be a very short game. Thanks for the reviews.

Okay, that said...I have the other 3 DP games and really liked them. This is no different. Excellent graphics and game play. Music not bad, games simple. I do like this type of game and I don't even mind the morphing objects (especially since there aren't that many#. Very nice take on the Red Riding Hood story line.
Much prefer being able to see the SG without the need to purchase the game #didn't like that).
There seems to be more dialogue in this one than the other 3 and you can't "click" through it. Guess I read faster than they do. Very nice voice-over though. I like the fact that the mouths move when they speak as well. Gives it a bit more realism in the game.
Having 3 different game modes is a major plus as well. Off to buy this one. Thanks for the reviews.

I have the first two Margrave games and enjoyed them both. This one, I'm not too sure about. The graphics, although very clean, were also very old school. The voice over was very high pitched and extremely annoying (the singer and the song in the beginning left a lot to be desired). Too much talking and not enough action.
The SG was way too wordy. Don't need hand-holding and an explanation of every item, step and thing to do. Too much rambling. Hint system was not helpful at all.
HOGs okay, with easy to find items. Games okay, nothing difficult or different.
Maybe I'm the minority here, but this game just didn't grab me at all. I found it tedious. No buy for me. Very disappointed.
I recommend this game, only because I personally did not care fo it, but you might. Give it a try and see what you think. Thanks for the reviews.

This one was interesting and different. I'm not a big card player, but I really enjoy Fairway and Legends and play them frequently. I like the idea of playing for "something," in order to move on in the game and not just a straight solitaire game.
The music got very annoying very quickly (thus the down grade for sound quality). Graphics were nice and clean and the game play was very good. Would have been nice to be able to change the cards to something else (maybe it was there and I just didn't see it). Only down graded the level of challenge because the challenge is in how well you play the cards.
I already have two solitaire games, so will have to think on this one a bit more. I did like it, so I will put it in the puddle for the near future. Thanks for the reviews.
I recommend this game!
