This review is based on actually playing the game. I beta tested this game and didn't care for it. Then, I tried the demo; still didn't care for it. When there was a sale, I decided to buy it, and am SO glad I did. What originally turned me off was the fact that the mom was carrying a tray with food and drinks upstairs for her kids! What about: "hey kids, food is ready, come down?"
Anyway, the game is a lot of fun and appears to be somewhat long, which is a plus for me. Different type of game, with 11 sins, instead of the usual 7. Am very much enjoying this game. Give it a try!

This is based on 20 mins. of the demo. There are 4 modes of play: casual; advanced; expert and custom. No voice overs, but text and characters you can interact with. Only encountered one HOS and it is shown as blanked out until you find the object.
You play a detective and have to gather evidence and put together how the crime happened. The graphics are pretty good and spoken words are shown also as text. No moving lips.

This is based on part of the demo. There are four modes of play: casual, advanced, expert and custom. The game is played in first person mode. The graphics are pretty good; there is text for voices. Quite a few HOS, but they are interactive, using outlines of things to find. Some are hard to find, but you have a hint button.
Epistory immerses you in an atmospheric action/adventure game where you play a girl riding a giant fox who fights an insectile corruption from an origami world.

I thought I'd just try this game out. I ended up almost using all of the demo. If you like to type, be challenged, and like words, I think you'll like this game.

This is based on 20 mins. of demo. There are 4 modes of play: easy, normal, hard and custom. There are voices and text. You can combine items at bottom of screen. You can choose your language. Hints and skips are available.
Game takes place in Palermo, Italy in 1912. The HOS are interactive, although I only came across one in the demo. It has a cane puzzle, which you can skip - don't know about other puzzles.

This is based on the demo. Pros: You can choose your language; there is a left-handed mode; and extras are available after game is finished. You can find 57 butterflies. Cons: You have to hold the mouse on objects and drag them to where they can be used. You have to back out of scenes when you are through with them. HOS are just ordinary, not interactive. There is written text; lips don't move. Graphics are ok - little cartoonish. Three modes of play.

This is based on the demo. There are 3 levels of play: easy, normal and detective. There are voice overs, the lips move and there is also text. The game is about a couple planning on getting married, but the bride wanted to go to her parents' old cottage to pick up her wedding dress, which her mother had made. The HOS are very clear, only encountered one in time I played the demo. You can even skip them! Found the game very entertaining; graphics were good. With the "lone miner" theory, it is a bit spooky, but not bloody or real scary.

This is based on approx. 20 mins. of demo. There are 3 modes of play: easy, normal and hard. The story is about a mother, who for some reason, has to leave her little baby by putting him in a basket in a river. She keeps having the same nightmare where she hears "mother" being called. The HOS are somewhat interactive, not just piles of junk, and I only came across one, plus two puzzles which were easy. The music is pretty nice; sounds somewhat like India's. The scenery is good. I'll probably use my free game code.
