This is a classic Katy & Bob game. Even the music is the same, until I muted it ;)
There is a knack to getting Gold in this series. If you've played the aforementioned series, you can follow the same strategy.
I do agree with another reviewer that a couple of the colors of the sauces and smoothies are too close in tone for those with tired eyes (I am one of those). The other games had a nice contrast of yellow, red, purple, etc. vs yellow and light green - yikes
After playing the demo, I understood about the Robot being "in the way". This was not a good thing. I'm trying to serve the item but the robot gets there first and is holding the thing I need because the Tray Slots only offer 2 places and I've got them filled (hello? time management, therefore prepping what I can ahead of time and placing it in the slots). So not only is one racing the clock, but you're also fighting the Robot who's supposed to be helping. That didn't work out well
With all that said, I still would have used a coupon on it had it been a standard offering because I really enjoyed the Katy & Bob games. That is until I read the note about Level 21. I imagine Developers will fix the glitch. I'll wait for the standard edition to see if they do, as along with others, I couldn't find anything that merited a Collector's Edition price tag.
With all that said, it really is rather fun (except for the bleeping Robot), just not perfect in execution.

The selection of Power Ups are sorely lacking Takes forever to purchase Upgrades
Once you get an upgraded character to help you, you can't choose which cards they remove, as you can with other games of this type
Can't buy jokers, only wild cards and then you get whatever random chance gives you
The obnoxious character who comes up when you have more than 4 cards left was really irritating
If you had to take a break from the game, it counted the level you were playing OVER and gave you no Stars, even though I believe it said it would "save progress". In this case, if you tried to replay, you had to replay ALL the levels in that Sequence and it wouldn't tell you your score. Just said you didn't get a better score. Hard to figure that out if you don't know which level it's basing that on and what you got before.
The only reason I didn't delete it outright, was because I like to finish a game I've paid for.
This one was a total loser!! It's deleted now!!
I do NOT recommend it. I see a sequence has come out. From what I could tell, doesn't look like many changes to format. I'll pass on that one too

This one is very similar to another. It does add additional twists. The other game had only one item per square. This offers variations depending on the level
One does have to pay close attention to detail :)
The "cross" means the ingredients are in the same square. I didn't catch that at first.
Very enjoyable
I do need to wear my glasses to see the icons, but that is simply a product of having the larger grids. Don't see how the developers could do this otherwise.
I do recommend this game for all levels of players

I played this as both CE and Standard, hoping the Standard might be better???
Oh good gracious no.
On the plus side, the graphics are clear and large On the negative side, the game play is beyond painful. Found myself clicking multiple times to tap the customer. Same thing on the product being made. Said could place a "plate" in the extra space and yet, it made me throw the item in the garbage each time Reordering inventory was also cumbersome
Really wanted to like this and gave it two chances.

Nice graphics, responsive controls, cute ghosts. Has great replay value. It's not just a "match 3" game, you really need to think about how to solve each level. Has some mini-games every so often to break it up. It is a game for players of all levels as well Love this series.

What more can I add that others haven't already? Nice graphics, interesting storyline (I haven't played the predecessors). Smooth game play.
Two reasons why I didn't give it a full 5 stars: 1. The game doesn't allow you to continue to make matches when bonuses are in play on the screen. At least it didn't for me. 2. It seemed rather short
Still, I enjoyed it enough that I will go back and purchase the earlier games in the Series.
Good for any level of player from beginner to expert.

I agree with CockerMom1. I'm not seeing a reason to RE-purchase a game I already own.
For those who do not own it already, the game play is smoother and worth it if you enjoy this type of game.
For those that already own it . . . , not really sure how to phrase this. This doesn't sit well with me. It strikes me as an excessively greedy marketing ploy to expect those who own it to pay for it again! A suggestion might have been to offer it at a healthy discount to those who paid for the Game originally. I've actually seen that done before and it went over much better. Just my 2 cents.
