This is not a patch on the previous Northern Tales games, and is quite obviously not by the same developer. It's clunky and slow, virtually no challenge, you'll spend half your time waiting for supplies, and the ridiculous stylized writing is difficult to read. I regret buying this without trying it first, but as Big Fish Games have decided to sell only CE editions where they can, players like me are so desperate for a new game that we make mistakes.

I have all the Spellarium games, but this one went too far with difficulty. I got sick and tired of having to create rockets in order to get rid of a dozen coins. It becomes boring after a while.

You're 6 years old and have nothing better to do. I can't believe Big Fish Games can offer this type of game to paying customers. I played 5 levels and gave up. It bears no relation to previous Lost Artifact games, and is a very, very poor cousin to them. Like another reviewer, I cancelled my membership ages ago because I don't want HO games and most of the time that's all that's on offer. If you can't give us quality, please don't offer games of such poor quality.

Absolutely love the game. To the reviewers who said they wanted to play untimed but couldn't, yes you can. There's an option for "relaxed". If you liked the first Portals you'll enjoy this one.

Come on, developers, you can't keep regurgitating the same game over and over and over with almost the only change being the scenery, You know you have a loyal following, and you're exploiting that. You can do better! Please give us a Hercules game that's not going to bore us to sleep.

I don't understand why other reviewers are being so negative about this game. I played 8 levels, then bought it. Yes, it's very irritating having to go back to the map for every level (what on earth were the developers thinking? - how about a fix for this please). It's not at all hard to work out what to do, what to build etc. The task your working on tells you what materials you need to complete it, and the buildings tell you what they will supply - your choice. There's not too much wrong with this game, and with the dearth of decent time management and match 3 games, it's a breath of fresh air.

How many times do we have to be told to perform a task? THREE times for every task! Even worse, 4 times to actually quit the game. This one is definitely not for me.
Being desperate for a new tm game I bought the CE. While I'm enjoying it, it's definitely not as good as the original Cave Quest, which I'm still playing after about 10 years. The developers have "dumbed down" the game by making it easier to make some of the moves that you couldn't in the original, and in my opinion this has taken a lot of the challenge out of the game. Having said that, this game will be thoroughly enjoyed by anyone who hasn't played the original.

As with all the Dragonscale games, this is quite fun, BUT - it appears there's no way to get out of the game once you've started! There's no menu button, exit button doesn't work, and even worse, control/alt/delete takes you to the task manager menu, but clicking on task manager does absolutely nothing except put you back in the game!

This is not a game, it's an annoying waste of time. The worst part for me was that incredibly irritating woooOOOPPP every single time anything moved! Come on, developers, if you can't do better than this you need to give up and go home.
