I am ashamed to admit this, but I didn't know this game had turned into a series. And, this is the ninth one?!? Okay, I played the demo of the very first HH, don't remember buying it though, but there have been seven in between I have been missing out on. Definitely liked this game though, loved that they threw in a little Mystery Trackers, which I have the whole series of. The game is fun, a good storyline, morphing objects and collectibles that are mythical birds (which you can read about once you collect them.) For those reasons and the bonus chapter, I am buying the CE version. Great game and looking forward to trying the others in this series.
If you are like me, you usually try the game demo, and then maybe read the reviews. The CE of this game got really good and really poor reviews, a little bit of each. I tried both demos and decided to buy the SE. I do like the story and the plot and the graphics are mostly amazing, but the CE version only has hidden scales (as in Scales of Justice), and some hand me down bonus gameplay. I like the circus theme, like Weird Tales, because it freaks me out. In fact, this game reminds me of WT because the graphics were mostly great and then, all of a sudden, poof, some intern drew something and threw it into the game. Visuals are awesome, gave it a four though because of the random badly done scenes, and the voiceovers were only okay for me. HOPs and minigames were pretty easy for me, but that is not a deal breaker. So definitely a buy, I love and own the two other Dead Reckonings in CE version.

I thought I would love this game, but it is a step down from WP: Scary Tales. In fact, many steps down. Graphics were quite good, but it ends there. HOSs were boring, storyline was mediocre. It was forgettable...at best. : (
I don't recommend this game.

Initially, I tried the demo, thinking I was going to kill an hour. I absolutely loved it and bought it right away. Yes, the graphics are old school; yes, the gameplay is linear. But it is a nice change from HOGs. I have a couple of games like this on my iPad and some are better than others. This one is definitely worth the buy. Story is interesting and there are voice overs and they are really good. A great adventure game!
Soooo, I don't know what all the early bad reviews are all about...I really liked this game. I played 40 mins before I gave in and bought it. Yeah, some of the graphics for the monsters are only so-so not so great, but the rest is pretty good and realistic. I liked the HOSs and the fact that if you need something you go find it and use it. Some games lately make you carry around some dumb item and expect you to remember to use it two hours later, as if. Plus you get to burn things and blow them up, SOLD.
I have to say it was kind of fun, and the graphics were outstanding. I played the trial and decided it was worth the buy. I have never played, in fact, never even heard of Friendly Cactus (the makers of this game). The HOSs were not too cluttered, which i don't like in some HOGs. The puzzles were fairly easy, but I don't always want the chore of an over complicated puzzle when playing a fun game. The story line was just okay for me. Overall and so far, (I haven't finished it yet), I think it is a good game. I am curious about the first installment in this series, since I do love when a story continues.
Definitely one of the best HOG I have played, and I have hundreds from Bigfish. I played the trial and bought it before time was up. Graphics were exceptional and fun HOS. I can't wait to play the whole game. Then, I am downloading the first Spirit of Revenge game, Cursed Castle. Will probably buy that one if it's anywhere as amazing as this one.

I have to admit, I usually enjoy adventure or HOG. This game blends match 3 with HO, which I like. My son, who is a whiz at anything strategic, also liked the storyline, which I thought was just okay. Overall, it was really fun and worth buying. We might even play it again.
I recommend this game!

I liked and bought the first Fairway Solitaire, but I think this one is way better. Everything, from the graphics to the sound, is much more enjoyable. I would buy it, but I don't mind the in-game purchase options. I also have this game on my iPad. It can be addicting. Even my tweenager enjoys playing it, when he's not busy conquering the world on the Xbox. If you like solitaire/card games, you will like Fairway Solitaire: Tee to Play!
