Although I really like these types of games that are all HOS and includes puzzles below are some of the pros and cons I found while playing the demo.
Pros
1. Nice graphics.
2. Within the HOS scene are sparking area to find items in the list. Although not displayed in a different color the area closes after all items are found and may sparkle again as new items are added to the list.
3. There are interactive items and hidden items.
4. In each scene there are several silhouette items to find.
5. In each HOS scene are a raccoon, puzzle piece and postage stamp to locate.
6. After completing the HOS scene, a tally is displayed if you earned all the different colored stars and if the 3 items noted above were found.
7. Menu option with a CE Contents section and includes 8 bonus puzzles and a Music Player with a selection of different background music to choose from.
8. At the top of the screen each scene is displayed with how many stars were earned. The scenes can be replayed at anytime.
9. Puzzles are the same as other games. Not a pro or con just an observation.

I do not think the CE version is worth the extra cost but I am still recommending the game as I think if you like this type of game you will enjoy it. I will wait for the standard version. Try it for yourself and decide. Happy New Year!

The story grabs you right from the start, so I knew within minutes it was a buy! The music goes well with the storyline and graphics add atmosphere with its creepy and macabre look and the voiceovers match the characters well. The tasks for the most part are not anything new but the puzzles and HOS more than make up for that. I enjoyed the interactive part of making dialog choices with the other characters.
My one complaint is you cannot tell if you have found the collectibles (1 in each scene) and symbols (random) even from the map.
The storyline reminds me of the 2016 game ‘Rite of Passage – Deck of Fates’ and the graphics reminded me of game from 2010 ‘Mystery of Mortlake Mansion’.

1. As usual with this developer the graphics are beautiful.

3. Love Fluffy the dog and that cute tail wagging and his panting.
Here comes the but with this developer...
a. I have seen many of the puzzles used before by this developer.
b. Items collected..in the first half hour I used a magnet to get something, a fork and a hairpin to open something, used a fan for smoke, ammonia to wake the conductor and a spade (shovel) to dig up snow. Nothing new or original here.
I am not going to recommend this game but with that said please try it for yourself especially if you have young children or grandchildren to play it with, I can't help thinking you will enjoy it and make memories.

The game to me was boring and repetitive. You click all over randomly to find items that are hard to even see (even on a big computer screen). What challenge is there in that? Some of the storyline was cute but I was tired of playing this game after a very short period of time. In fairness I did not finish the demo as it was so monotonous and the color scheme was the same. This is the worst review I have ever given a game on BF after many, many years.
I don't recommend this game.
Pendle Tower was once a lavish high-rise hotel, but a new renovation has awakened a long-dormant secret within its foreboding halls.

This is a really fun game and puzzles that challenge you but you can still have sip of wine while playing. The storyline is good and in each scene you have to find 2 objects (one morphing) and a puzzle piece. I like the old fashion type graphics. I do not understand the negative reviews. Try it for yourself...enjoy!!

I like these types of games aa they are just plain relaxing fun. It has puzzles in between each scene and along with the standard HOS scenes you also need to find 3 hearts, 3 dogs, a morphing object and a gold coin. I have bought other games by this same developer and really enjoy them. The storyline is immaterial but the graphics are great (large) and colorful and I like you can play on a smaller laptop screen as well as a full PC screen. Give it a try if you like HOS games!

This is based on the demo and I have purchased the game. I thought the fairy storyline would not interest me but it is actually a good story. The graphics are excellent (that includes colors and voice overs). My complaints are the same old same old for the gadgets to complete tasks. Can't you PLEASE come up with something beside spraying insects, using buttons, coins, etc. to take off screws and feeding or finding toys for animals...to name a few examples. Come on...make this game worth the effort you put into the graphics, storyline and some of the puzzles...you are so close!! I am still going to recommend the game but you could do better. Also make the extra items to find a bit more challenging. I do like that you have 3 different types of objects to find! I would like more items added for achievements besides how long it takes to solve an HOS or a puzzle. It could use some improvement as well.
I recommend this game!

I loved this series but the last few I did not purchase. I think this one is a good game based on the demo I have purchased it. I like the storyline, art work and the puzzles so far are fun. Also glad they brought the fact cards back. I do admit I get tired of many of the same things such as the dog toy, building a ladder, etc. I wish they could come up with some new ideas, with that said I am still enjoying the game. Try it, hopefully you will enjoy it too! I don't understand some of the really negative reviews...to each their own.

This is based on the demo. The storyline kept my interest. Enjoy the puzzles...not too hard but not overly easy for the most part. Items to collect in each scene. Art work is great. I bought the game. Try it for yourself but personally I highly recommend it.

It is very rare that I couldn't even get through the demo. I am so tired of everything being so overly easy and everything is the same with the few developers left at Big Fish. As some others have written lately how often do you need a coin, fire flies, etc. I have been a BF member since June of 2009 and am considering quitting the club. What is the point of BOGO when I cannot even find one game to buy no less two! Get some new blood from some other developers. The last really good game was last year "Lost Lands Redemption CE" as far as imagination (yes the son was a bit irritating but still loved the story and concept). I use to pay full price for some games like Hidden Expedition series as I was so anxious to play them and the last several I didn't even bother to buy. I tired to play them and they were terrible.
Big Fish - Have your developers stop using the same cookie cutter gadgets and find some new blood or you are going to loose a long time customer.
