I personally would have preferred more HOGs and less "torn or burnt pictures" but as main theme was related to an art gallery, I guess that makes sense. With not much diversity with the other puzzles, I found it just a little repetitious.
I have to say though that the graphics were so beautiful, as was the music. Enjoyable and relaxing play.
Two Art by Numbers in a month - what a treat. Keep them coming please! I'm not really fussed about the picture, although some are superior to others which increases the fun factor. Most of them seem to be quite good this time though.
It is and will always be a Christmas tradition and I can't imagine anyone wanting it to change it. Was a little confused though why it suddenly morphed into searching for Big Foot, it kinda broke the Christmas feeling of the game a little, but was still enjoyable playing.
So it seems that Frosty has gone AWOL from Joe's Sidewalk. After spending ages looking for him, I'm glad I read the reviews that others couldn't fine him either.
I am a hidden object enthusiast and have my favorite developers and will buy and replay their games because they are a cut above. I personally don't think this game is CE worthy so I'll wait for the SE and maybe download that.
There's nothing original with the mini games and each scene had that deja-vu feeling that I've played these kinds of hog games many times over.
I usually download and play most hidden object games, but I found this a little too challenging in some scenes. Most of the scenes I had fun with but, for example, as much as I tried for ages to find the puppies and ducks in Friesland, even using the magnifier, I just could find the last two. I'll have to go back to it once I've finished the game because I got too frustrated.
(I'm totally rapt to find my home town Adelaide featured but, hey developers, it's the capital of South Australia, not Australia. However, thank you for including it.)
Anyway, I like the concept of the game and as I'm progressing into it, I'm enjoying it more. Only gave it 4 stars because I believe it's too cluttered in some scenes but I'll never tire of it. Keep them coming but, in the future, hold off on some the clutter please.
It is a very challenging game and yes some of the items are small(ish) but were they any bigger and easier to find, then the complaints would come in that it's too easy and a game for children. I've rarely had to use the magnifier, but that's what it's there for. Originally I too was looking for the seal sea creature until I found a State seal.
Having lots of fun with this game and the music is pretty cool, one of the rare games where I keep the music on while playing. The graphics are amazing too.
SPOILER ALERT for those having trouble with the angel on the tree. When you see any instruction in blue, hover the mouse over it and you see exactly what needs to be done. With the angel, give it to the mother first in her right hand, then pop the angel onto the tree. Hope this helps.
Have only played half the game and am loving it so far. What's not to love - the music is great, some puzzles are challenging and the scenes are beautiful.
Christmas came early this year in Big Fish Land, which was a wonderful surprise. Thanks Casual Arts.
Another great game from this fabulous developer. The graphics are so clear and the scenes are beautiful. (Thank you for finally highlighting an Australian landmark.) I like being able to choose which type of game play and the bits of trivia are interesting.
I can understand some saying that there are bugs in the game. I came across them in Hoi An Vietnam and Mount Rushmore where the Match 3 games froze and there were only 4 tiles in the centre of the pairing tiles puzzle. So I uninstalled the game and reloaded it and the rest of the puzzles were perfect once more to the end of the game.
In my opinion, some of the puzzles are way to easy - the word search and tile pairing but the rest are pretty good.
I'll still replay this game though as I do most hidden object games.
I've been a loyal fan of Casual Arts for many years and faithfully purchased and played all their games. With new more sophisticated templates available now, a zoom feature would be great to find some of the well hidden items. The hint button is there - you lose points but that doesn't really matter. The skip button should be instant too as I've never been able to master the rotation puzzle.
I really like Park Ranger because it's great being able to experience the scenery as it's nothing like we see here in Australia. Seeing the animals that are roaming about in the background is quite cute too.
I still think it's a 5 star game and appreciate the work that CA puts into it, but like I said, needs zoom and instant skip.
This really is a fabulous game for those of us to love straight hidden object games. I'm up to Level 30 and haven't encountered any problems at all yet. Loving the magnifying glass - this really helps.
It's kinda beyond me why those with problems haven't used the hint button. I normally like to get through the games without using it but sometimes you just have to. I know the hint button won't give away the whereabouts of the Flag, Fleur dis lis and 8 balls but they're usually pretty easy to find. It's a shame having to give this top game low reviews because of apparent technical issues.
The only issue I'm having is finding some of the 8 balls - I'm assuming now that they're not always there with the Flag or Fleur dis lis objects.
Moving along, I'm enjoying this challenging game - the graphics and backgrounds are bright and clear and the music is pretty awesome too.
