I didn't think much of this game at first but have persevered with it. (Glad I purchased it with a voucher so had nothing to lose.)
It's different and could have been a great game... but... some grids are way too small and the numbers are sooo hard to see. Also, the colours are ordinary and a lot more thought should have gone into the choices of them because they don't visually enhance the game at all.
Unless the developers address these issues should they bring out another game - I doubt I would purchase it because there are so many better griddle games out there.
The plus side is that I personally like the challenge because, although some grids seem perplexing - at least they can logically be worked out with lots of patience... and lots of counting!
I've recommended it but am contradicting myself because I also agree with the other reviewers who don't.
I found this version disappointing for a couple of reasons. Hated the music but can turn that off though the previous games had a better soundtrack. Also, some games had absolutely no logic at all and the only way to clear it was to go for hints and that defeats the purpose for me. (In particular game 67 was impossible.)
Might have to go back to the penguin I think. I've still recommended it because it is just okay.
Am so enjoying this game. It's just like the old fashioned fairy stories, but interactive, as it's so well thought out. It's bringing me back to my childhood.
I normally don't like games with an inventory and going back and forth but this one makes sense and flows well throughout the story line. Also most games, apart from some Christmas themes, are usually dark and depressing. This one is such a feel-good game that I'll probably play it again a few times.
The characters are great and the visual quality is perfect. Can't fault it.

I always look forward to another Christmas Wonderland and this one hasn't disappointed.
I love the imagination of this series and playing them always brings on the Christmas spirit. This one is different from the previous ones as Santa's Workshop at the North Pole is featured more.
The background music is so cheery and uplifting and varies throughout the game. These Christmas Wonderland games are timeless - I'm sure I'm not the only one that replays the previous versions leading up to Christmas until the new one comes along.
Fantastic game for all ages for those who love HOGs and puzzles. Casual Arts - you've done yourselves proud again.
I'm a fan of basic Hidden Object type games but this one left me uninspired. I lasted 12 minutes into the demo and just couldn't go on due to the lack of Fun Factor. Agree with other reviews that it had potential but very old school.
I played Dream Day Wedding Bella Italia (again...) just for a change and thought I'd played all the Dream Day games. Then I found this one and couldn't believe that, although I'd bought it many years ago, I'd never played it. I was pleasantly surprised with everything about it.
Firstly, I thought the aspect of the whole game was fun and entertaining from the hidden object searches to the puzzles. Some of them were quite challenging (especially Bocci) and some were quite easy. Yes, the objects are small and if you're not a hidden object game fan like I am, you'd find it pretty frustrating.
Secondly, the story line was so touching and inspiring as it's about real people who loved and respected each other and I found this inspiring. That added an extra edge to the game and I became quite absorbed in it. I liked that the story flowed well.
It's not as sophisticated as the current games, like it's 6 years old but it's a winner for me.
If I'm going to play a mosiac game, this is my favourite series so far. In my opinion it is very challenging. Some puzzles are really easy and then others are tricky but still logical enough to think about the next move.
Loving the new bright colours too, pleasant change from the bland ones in the past. The story lines pretty good but that's just a minor bonus.

Hidden object games are my preference so gave this one a go.
At first I thought it was so bad but I kept at it.
I didn't really understand it until I had a look at the games tips and read a few posts. One reviewer in particular explained the concept of how to collect the shields as the developers should have and now this game makes more sense.
Not all the levels have a shield so it's easy to find everything else without the frustration of looking for it.
The idea of the cat is beyond me but it's cute and i'll take the points.
The puzzle section is a mixed bag and I guess you can't please everyone there, like I prefer the challenge of the slider puzzles and have never liked match 3 type games.
I'm a massive fan of Casual Arts games and am always looking forward to any new games from this developer. I like basic hidden object games. This didn't disappoint.....
.... except... that some scenes were impossible to play perfectly because the objects were too obscure to find. I hate having to use the hint feature but to move on I had to and realised that there was no way I would have found the object without the hint. Like the spa scene to find all the "vanity" items were impossible to find because the items weren't identified. Had to use hint and had no clue exactly what the item was that was highlighted. Like finding all the cats in another scene proved possible because I knew I was looking for cats. Maybe it adds to the challenge but for me it took away the fun factor which is why I rated that a 4. Would have rated it a 4.5 if that were possible because I guess I may be somewhat picky.
It was a fun "virtually" travelling around the world on a cruise. The scenes have a lot of variety and personality. Love the concept of hidden object, puzzles and jigsaw puzzles all in one and, as all the other games from this developer, I'm sure I will replay this more than once.
Another Park Ranger series that didn't disappoint!
I think I enjoyed this the most because, as well as liking any hidden object games, there seemed to be more puzzles and especially challenging jigsaw puzzles. (The only teeny tiny negative was the tickets were sooo impossible to find at the Main Gate Station but the hint button got me out of that quickly.)
Having collected just about all of the games from Casual Arts over the years, they're all replayable and each time is just as fun as the last. Maybe off to another cruise next time, eh Casual Arts crew? Or perhaps Halloween in October?
