Boyle Wolfbane wanted to rule the world. He failed miserably, but it's okay. Things could have been worse. He could have been born a hero.

Recommendation: Replay Ahriman's Prophecy & Aveyond 1-3.4 over before playing this. It's not at all necessary & the stories aren't directly linked, but the continuity nods are much funnier if you know how the stories link.
Pros:
*Takes you on a comical fantasy adventure.
*You'll end up with 6 playable characters in your party, so you can change & customize your play style.
*The music has always been great in Aveyond games.
*The background ambiance in each zone is soothing.
*The zones have unique designs & labyrinthine layouts.
*First time an Aveyond game never aggravated my Carpal Tunnel.
*I didn't feel as lost in this game. A lot of RPGs with backtracking aren't concise with their directions.
*I can feel & see all the improvements the development team has made throughout the series since I first played Ahriman's Prophecy in 2005.
*The series lore. I love figuring out how the different Aveyond stories connect to eachother.
while I was introduced to Aveyond & The Elder Scrolls the same exact year, I'd have to say the Aveyond games hold a bigger place in my heart. I hope this series goes on & on.
*There's a fun story-within-a-story that takes place when most of your party is asleep.
Cons:
*The character designs stretch out unflatteringly at 1980x1020, like the way old TV shows do on modern TVs.
*The Bigfish version has an annoying habit of always opening up in windowed mode almost every time.
*Busybeak Hills, Divisive Thicket, & Mudsludge Swamp were all underutilized.
*Boyle should have been in his 40s. Everything about him just screams "middle aged."
*One of the playable characters was introduced too late in the game, near the end.
*It was pointless giving one of the characters multiple potential love interests, due to how little these particular characters speak with eachother.
I recommend this game!

All the positive reviews are written before level 10. Beyond that point, there is no actual gameplay.
*50% of the furniture, all the good stuff, must be purchased with real world money.
*At level 12, you'll only be able to collect money every 7 hours.
*New rooms at this point take a full day to build.
*Minimal furniture options.
*Some quests want you to buy a better replacement for recent purchases, others require buying cash items.
*Cannot name or dress tenants, & they don't respond to or interact with furniture.
*Rooms are rediculously oversized.
I don't recommend this game.

This city is clamping down on candy cravings by outlawing sweet snacks! Solve a series of quirky cases by gathering clues, tracking down witnesses, and questioning suspects to reveal the truth behind this city’s sugarcoated secret. This is a case too sweet to turn down!

I was playing Criminal Case & Detective Tales on Facebook & wondering if Bigfish had anything like them; where instead of spending an entire game solving a single case, you work on a string of cases that sometimes are & sometimes aren't related. The answer was "yes, & it just arrived today, in fact." Only instead of a hidden object crime drama, it's a match 3 with a Guess Who mini game.
Cons:
*Tutorial is overly long & condescendingly holds your hand through the first half hour.
*Facebook-style time limitations. Only instead of energy, it's waiting for cases to be delivered.
*Not much to the story; a step-up from the slapdash, perfunctory cases in Crime Solitaire, but I was really hoping for a Dark Comedy atmosphere with murder mysteries & witty recurring characters.
Pros:
*Not a lot of Bigfish games let you customize your character at all. The only other one I can think of is Bu$h Wh@cker 2.
*Unlockables, upgradables, skill trees, customization.
*Clever use of match 3 with varying scales of challenge. If you don't work your brain, you'll be replaying levels.
*Nice variety of side games that make sense in the context of the story, as opposed to just slapping around magical steampunk contraptions.
I recommend this game!

From what I can tell, this may be the only released game by Russian developer Funzai, which is a shame.
The good: Pretty addictive. Reminds me a little bit of playing Carmen SanDiego as a kid, only instead of collecting clues to find a criminal, I'm selling & buying paintings & sharpening my observation skills. Technically, you can play this game endlessly, if high scores are your thing.
The bad: I expected more locations to open up after completing the Shanghai Museum collection & then to be told to buy another museum in another country, but instead the game asked me if I wanted to restart or just keep playing, so...kind of an abrupt non-ending that left me wanting more, but I can't have more because Funzai is defunct.
I recommend this game!

If your first question is "is there any difference between playing this on Bigfish Online? Answer is no; it basically just makes a large window pop up that runs your current gamesave. Does it work offline? Nah, it saves to a server, but an offline version would be a great idea for Bush Wh@cker 3, that & getting rid of the whole energy thing.
If you've never played it on the site before, this game is an homage to stuff like The Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, Adventure Time: Hey Ice King, Why'd You Steal Our Garbage, etc. If you're not familiar with oldschool Nintendo games, I can tell you it's a bit like the Aveyond & Millennium series.
It's an improvement over the first game, which is still good & only available on Facebook. Hopefully Bigfish will bring Bush Wh@cker 1 to Bigfish Online & eventually let us use club credits to buy bush bucks. If you're wondering why I'm spelling it with an @, it's because Bigfish's language filters consider the title to be "obscene language."
I recommend this game!

Initially I expected it to be pretty much exactly like Avalon Legends Solitaire, which was more challenging & had a paper-thin story line, but they're actually pretty different.
Chronicles of Emerland is not as challenging, but story-heavy, blatantly inspired by Lord of the Rings, right down to Wizards being a human-looking species that isn't human, a Legolas-looking Jack, & your mentor looking suspiciously like Gandalf.
The music is pleasant, the visuals are pleasing.
I recommend this game!

I love Klondike, Yukon, & Fairway-style solitaire, I love bright colorful graphics & busy designs, but when I heard the ambiance; waves crashing on a shore & crying seagulls, I was sold; that's only the most relaxing sound combo in the world.
If you can play this on a tablet/laptop/phone, I recommend going to your back yard on a sunny day with a lawn chair & a frosty drink.
I recommend this game!

Generally in platformers, the avatar is awake & represents you & everything is trying to kill you. In a flip, we had a sleepwalking character & you moving things around to keep him from falling to his death or having a rude awakening.
In the 70s, we had Atari & Coleco Vision, & the avatar could be anything from a square pixel to an indecipherable blob. The graphics here are more akin to early 90s consoles like the SNES & Sega Genesis, & flash based games on the original Nintendo DS, so Petagree was off by two decades.
I recommend this game!

Despite my hatred of Time Management, I love this type with the running around. I usually mess around with the game's scripts to allow for infinite time to play in sandbox mode, but I couldn't figure out how to do it here.
This game is severely more challenging for me than other games of this type, with the overly tight time restrictions & the amount of micromanagement piled on at each level.
While I'm too much of a laid-back person to enjoy being challenged, I know that's exactly what someone out there is looking for. I enjoyed it regardless.
I recommend this game!

Game may only have 4 songs, but I managed to track down the artist & get mp3s off him. You could relax to them or even use them to lul a baby to sleep.
It's a pretty slow paced game that could take months to "win," & by win, I mean buy everything in the shop, max out your plant nursery, & discover every crossbreed. The fact that you can fail & be set back adds challenge & the variety of plants adds endless gameplay.
Be sure to visit "Last Day of Work" & nag/beg them to make a sequel.
If you like this game, you should enjoy "Virtual Families," "Fish Tycoon," & "My Tribe."
I recommend this game!
