I bought the CE version of the game but wanted to put my review here also.
When this game came out I read all the reviews commenting on how different the game was from others in the series. I like different so I gave it a try. Loved it!
The levels are long and involved and keep you focused on the game. Time just flys by. Which is ok since the levels are not timed in the usual sense. Some of the tasks do have time settings and you loose stars for the tasks if you take too long. You can still finish even if you get no stars. The overall rating for the level depends on the percentage of task stars you earn. Really an interesting approach.
I hope the developer keeps doing games like this, I'd be sure to buy (and I had not gotten any in the series since the first two).
One request I'm make is to turn down the amount of reminders. Way too many! Especially when you get reminders for things you cant do (like updating buildings when all are already updated). I sometimes missed a needed hint on something new because of all the other things popping up.
Even with that its still a great game and well worth playing. And its the sort that you can play again and again. Give it a try.

Nice to have a new Art by Numbers game - relaxing, colorful, good music, relaxing, controls work well, relaxing, pleasurable, addicting, and have I mentioned relaxing? Always enjoy the paint games from this developer. Bright colors and fun scenes and the ability to do pictures in any order or skip one completely make for great stress relief.

I've got the original Patchwork and have always enjoyed it. Nice relaxing artwork puzzle that can be played over and over. I've also got some other versions (like the wintery Frozen Patchworks). But lost interest when they switched to using jigsaw like pieces. With this one they are back to having pieces that match the image, such as part of a building or tree.
There are 25 levels in the first location and 6 locations so a lot of levels. And based on the others I expect the levels will get harder with more pieces and less filled in at the start.
Not sure if there will be different types of textures (like wood, stone, paper, cloth) as in previous Patchworks but I hope so. The sound effect always matched the texture which I liked.
The puzzle images are very good with lots of details and color. Very enjoyable to look at while doing.
I dont think getting music and wallpapers makes it CE worthy. You also get 3 more locations which would be nice. But I'll wait for the standard version to buy. Especially since all those music tracks are probably what is making the game 700MB. Really dont need a space hog on my computer.
Try it for yourself - its a great chill out sort of game.

This series keeps getting better. The colors are beautiful especially with the added textures (sometimes shimmery, sometimes like watercolors). There are many of the pictures which are covered in designs as usual. But lots of variety in the images. This time including some very nice landscapes where you are filling in areas that relate to real objects which I really enjoy. Hope they keep adding more of these beautiful landscapes.
As always the controls work well, with no difficulty choosing colors. They made a nice change in that if you finish a color the program goes to the next number instead of back to color 1. And the option to have the number appear above an area if you point at it is always helpful, saves zooming in and out.
The music is nice with no funky insect sounds as happens in the other devs painting programs. And no rude noises if you click in the wrong place.
Altogether this makes for pleasant, stress free fun. Keep making these please!

I really like this game - it really keeps my attention! On the demo I couldn't stop playing. And I just bought it so I can keep going. :)
The playing area is bigger then the screen so you have to move around and see where things are, which makes it more interesting. Plus there are sometimes caves with additional items to do. There are roads to clear and farms to start. I like it that the worker who builds the farm (or whatever) then is automatically assigned to work it and you get resources automatically too. Then you go to the market to sell them. I like that feature, you can see exactly what you have and choose what to sell and what to keep. Like keeping some corn to make flour. Then there are the temples where you have to give offerings to keep your workers from slowing down or being in the dark which adds to the challenge. There are hidden objects to find (or ignore if you wish) and awards to win.
The sea battles are not my favorite part but it does make for some variety. And at least they do fit with the storyline.
I like that there isn't an excessive amount of clicking. Its more about thinking and choosing a route.
Several reviewers have commented on there not being enough levels but the levels are complex with lots to do. I suspect later levels could take a long time. So for me its worth it. (and with a sale going on, who can resist!)

Like others I was excited to see a new Farm Frenzy game but couldn't even get through the demo - they not only had a timer on the overall level (which was normal but this was positioned so it was more noticeable while playing), then another one popped up when the truck went to the city too! It was big and hard to ignore and counted down in real seconds (not just a dial or graphic). Not sure if the production machines would have had more ticking seconds as I lost interest in the game at that point. Note to devs: game players dont need constant reminders of real time, we are trying to enjoy ourselves!

This is a traditional style hidden object game. I actually like it and find the bad reviews surprising. It has nice graphics with a pleasant winter setting (yes, some of out here like snow!) The sound is fine and music changes with some of the locations (like a Gregorian type chant when in the church). The puzzles are fun and I had no problems with clicking on things. Sometime the order in which you choose pairs makes a difference (ones on top first) or there is one fixed piece of statues so where you assemble each one makes a difference. All part of the puzzle. Objects are findable but sometimes in clever places which keeps it interesting. And if you replay a location you get a different list of objects so it stays interesting. Sometimes they add to the fun and give you clues to figure out rather then the name of the object. Or find 15 of the same thing (the last few are always tricky) All in all, its a game I like and plan to buy. I may wait for the regular version, although the CE has 5 extra chapters so might be worth it.

Art By Numbers provides a very pleasant way to relax. These paint programs are an activity I've come to appreciate. And this one is the best I've seen and the first I've been willing to pay for. (I've got a couple others as the "free" part of buy one, get one free sales).
This one has some nice new features: * continuous color: you can hold the mouse button and drag the mouse over a section and color it all at once, no need to click on each little bit that is to be blue (or whatever) * natural painting: you can choose the wide brush and it just puts color where you move the mouse (instead of filling in to the border), personally this isn't appealing to me, but if you want to feel like you are really using a brush, its there * free paint: after you have completed a picture you can go into free paint and do it again with any colors you want, which is something I've wished for and am so glad they added :)
this makes such a nice break when the intense games I usually play get too much, really recommend you try it, even if you don't think you would like it you may be surprised

The style of this game is fun and light hearted. Lots of bright colors and humor. But it does get challenging and there is even a bit of strategy with deciding what to upgrade.
I'm definitely going to buy it.
