I've always liked this series. They manage to be challenging while still keeping you interested in the game. This one is no different. But I'm finding this one is harder then some of the others. Still I'm enjoying it!
The devs do a good job with giving options on the difficulty, they have "relaxed", "easy", "normal" and "hard". Usually I play on normal, but I've switched down to easy. Which is ok as it means I'll be able to give myself a goal of doing well in normal when I replay. And with this series I always want to play again later. That's what is so good about it.
There are the usual road clearing tasks (get wood, stone, food, etc) but also some nice variety. Like the way they did the roads in the second episode which is a swamp. I havent gotten beyond that episode so I'm not sure what the others will look like but am hoping they have been as inventive. And every level has an altar for which you have to find gems. They have also added a character that clears hidden areas that might have gems or something else. It all adds to the fun.
Finding the catches is a bit of extra fun. You can ignore them if you dont like finding hidden things, but I enjoy it. When I've got several tasks queued up for the characters, I dont have to sit and wait, I can look for a catch. Keeps it interesting! And with the CE version there are maps of where the catches are for each level. So if not finding one of the hidden catches is driving you crazy, you can look. :)
The music is nice, sound effects are mostly ok (the hissing dragons is a bit overdone). Visually the quality is excellent as usual. Bright, detailed and everything looks real. Even the background areas look good.

Just when I needed something cheerful here is a Rainbow mosaic with the funny garden helper and a bright colorful Easter theme. Yea!
I've got most of the Rainbow games - they are always a pleasure and are great for going back to when I want some relaxing mosaics to play.
And I really like the mini game they added where you have to place different shaped blocks in a space. They set it up well so if you like the mini game you can play, but if you dont its easy to skip (you can just not click on the ? or there is a skip button in the mini game)
I bought this one after just a quick try. So glad to have it. :) Give it a try

I've got the first 2 Magic Farm games and wasn't sure I wanted another. Then decided to get it and am glad I did. I've been getting very involved in it, which is what I want from a game. Looking forward to many hours of game play. As someone else noted, its intense during a farm day but you get a chance to relax and take your time selling bouquets and setting up your farm. You earn some improvements (like selling bouquets not just individual flowers) by completing tasks so there is more to discover as the game goes on. Cant wait to see the other farms and what sort of plants they have!
Pros: * new gardens, new flowers to discover * bugs are now humorous (dragonflies have glasses, clams flutter like a butterfly) * great graphics * relaxing music
Cons: * lots of chatter - have to click through a lot of talk (previous games had more info in a single dialog window) * not quite as clear about how the farm works as in the earlier versions (but once you get going its fine) * first farm is in a river so something of a logic error to water the plants but that is a minor issue
Tips: *the upgrades are available from the start, need to click on each to see a description then can use (looked to me like they were locked) * turn the sound effects down: at first it seemed they had put in some horrible blaring sound for the end of day. After adjusting the in game sound I realized it was the same mild tones as in the earlier games. whew!

This game is similar to Kingdom Tales (1 &2) and the earlier Fate of the Pharaoh. Which are games I have and enjoy. This time its a caveman theme. Like the earlier games there is a touch of humor to the storyline. Even though its something of a repeat, I like that its a game that includes building as well as road clearing. Building games are few and far between these days! Glad to see one so I will be buying. :)

This is a group match type game with limited moves. You can select a group as small as two to make a match. In the early levels that seems silly and too easy. But as you continue more colors are added and more blockers so gets harder to find even a small group of the same color.
There are lots of interesting features, like bubbles to pop, toasters, cups to knock down as well as standards like boxes.
The design portion is nice. You get three choices and while the items dont always match my taste, they are interesting. I'm on the third room now (kitchen) and am still enjoying the designing.
The music is nice and relaxing. And its at a reasonable sound level, which isnt always the case with this dev.
The game gets addicting even when you get to the levels that are harder. It was worth the buy.

Like the first one, Crystal Mosaic 2 has bright clear pieces that really do seem like crystals. The music is peaceful and relaxing, just what is wanted for a picture type game. So far the puzzles have been simple but I've only done a few so far.
I've got the first one and have replayed it several times. I'm looking forward to the same from Crystal 2.

Roman Adventures - Britons delivers another great challenge with a style of game that is unique to this developer. The first series "Adelantado Trilogy" has been a favorite of mine for years. And last years first Roman Adventures was fantastic. These games have seemingly simple goals that require a lot of planning and strategy to do well. That's what makes them so fun and addicting. Plus there is the added challenge of the secret caches, which you can ignore if you wish or try to find them all.
In Season 1 the Romans were helping the Druids fight off an evil plague. Season 2 has an interesting plot twist with the Romans aiding Elves! :)
The first level in this game is tutorial and makes you do tasks in a specific order to introduce features. After that you are on your own, although game will point out new features as they come up. Be sure to try several levels to really get an idea of the game.
This one's a must buy for me. Try it and you may like it too.

This is very like Runefall but with a mining theme. Its a timed game where you move around a large board by where you make matches. There are special spots in the mine where you access mini game puzzles (clear board in a few matches). Not sure what else they have as I've decided to buy without getting too far into the game. The graphics are a bit dark but appropriate for being under ground. The game play is just plain fun! Love it!

This one seems more like "Hermes Rescue Mission" goes to Egypt then an update of the first Ramses game.
The first Ramses game was a classic style building game - it was all about the buildings and strategy of what to put where. Now they have made it into a road clearing game. I play those too but was looking forward to more of what the first game had been.
There have been a lot of road clearing games lately so I'm getting particular about what ones I buy. Dont think I'll bother with this one.
Now if they actually made a new Ramses that was the same type as the first, I'd buy that.

These Trito games do have a young kid personality but the game play is harder then you might expect. Especially as you continue to higher levels. Personally I really enjoy the graphics and the undersea setting. I just skip through the story which is rather juvenile.
When it comes to match 3 games I often prefer quick moving ones. But I do also like a well designed moves counted game, which this is. Its got great graphics with bright colors, good sound, a variety of types (clear tiles, character path, dig gold, etc) and a sense of humor. That's always a plus when I look for a game. I really enjoy how the power ups are sea creatures that seem happy to help by zooming across a row (seahorses) or blowing themselves up (puffer fish) or whatever.
And I do like that the game explodes all the bonus items at the end. I play move limited games to relax so I just sit back and enjoy the show at the end of the level. :)
The first Trito had 275 levels. I'm not sure if this one has that many but I'm hoping so. One of the things I really liked on the first game was that the devs kept introducing new features all the way through the game. Not sure they could keep that up but I've already seen one new thing and have only played part of the demo.
When a game seems to be just like a previous one I often skip it, but I enjoyed the first so much that I am buying this one too. (although I waited for a sale)
Try it, you might find you like it. :)
Tips: *if you use up all the hammers or switch fish (items on the left) you get a plus icon that lets you go into a shop and buy more with the gems you have earned
