Whether based on its own merits or as a part of a great series, in my opinion, this game just doesn't cut it.
The "Delicious" series is my all-time favorite. I own all but one of the previous games in this series, including some not available from Big Fish. I've replayed all of them more than once. It's an understatement for me to say this game is a big disappointment. I played for almost an hour, thinking it would have to get better. Perhaps it does, eventually, but I was too turned off to actually buy it in order to find out.
The graphics are cartoonish, game play response time is slow, there is only one game mode, and -- worst of all -- it's really repetitive and boring. I was also turned off by the cartoonish "shrugs" between Paige and some of the other characters. The game feels as though it was developed at least 10 years ago, and in my opinion does not in any way match the quality of previous "Delicious" editions. I'm not sure who designed and developed this latest version, but they should have reviewed previous games in the series to see why they are so greatly loved.
As always, try before you buy. Based on the quality of other games in this series, I almost bought this one before I tried it, and I'm really glad I didn't.

Sometimes I just want to play an enjoyable and stress-free game to give me a break from all the ongoing toxicity these days. In addition, as an older gamer whose reflexes aren't quite as sharp as they used to be, I appreciate a timed game that is a challenge but that I can reasonably easily beat. (I've managed to get three stars on all levels, but I had to replay a few to increase my score from two to three stars.)
I don't often play Match 3 games, but this one is, indeed, a keeper.

I really wanted to like this game. After spending about 40 minutes on the demo, which seemed interesting, I purchased the game. Although I played it to its conclusion, now I remember why I didn't finish a previous game in this series.
The action quickly becomes rather tedious, and I found myself relying far too often on the map in order to get to the end--which I found abrupt and a bit disturbing--more quickly. Some puzzles were excessively easy, while others were quite difficult. In addition, several of the puzzles were wonky and didn't function as indicated; the only way to "complete" them was to choose the "skip" button.
In this case, I feel that playing through the demo doesn't really provide an accurate sense of the entire game.
I agree with sunnyglow’s excellent description of this game. I find most nanograms to be too simplistic for my taste and they are often poorly designed. This one is excellent! I purchased the game after demo’ing it for 30 minutes and look forward to hours of enjoyable game play.
In the meantime, I'm looking forward to new time management games for us Mac users.

A pleasant enough storyline and graphics. Most HOS and games were pretty simple, and I had trouble getting a couple of the games to function due to kludgy implementation. I have already deleted this game from my computer, as I have no interest in playing it again (which I ultimately do with most of the Big Fish games I purchase.) Definitely try before you buy.
A small irritation for me: Given the title of the game, the voiceovers should have correctly pronounced "golem" (with a long "o"), which I think speaks to the overall quality of the game.
I'm about a third of the way into the game, and I'm enjoying it even more as the levels progress. I'm not sure why so many reviewers felt the game was too easy; perhaps the gameplay is easier on pc's, but I find it somewhat challenging on my iMac. Many of the levels require my playing them a couple times, the first time to figure out the best strategy to get 3 stars, then again to nail it.
As always, try before you buy; however, there are too few TM games being offered, and I'm please to recommend this one.

I wanted to like this game, but after playing for 45 minutes hoping for the pace to pick up, I finally gave up. The gameplay is tediously repetitive, the mini games are ridiculously easy, and the only options available are the ability to turn off music and sounds. This game would have been too simplistic 10 years ago; there are many better games today. The only reason I gave this an overall 2 stars is that it might appeal to someone new to this type of game.
By the way, I usually discount posts by reviewers who, overall, rate the vast majority of games they review as 5 stars. Ditto if they rate most games as 1 or 2 stars.
I agree with many of the comments of those who rated this a 5-star game and won't repeat them. I appreciated the mix of adventure with lots of mini-games. Although I certainly enjoyed Princess of Ice, including its diversity of mini-games, there were a few things that frustrated me -- primarily the lack or insufficiency of instructions for some of the activities (for example, I had to keep clicking Hint for the maze, which was tedious). I also found it frustrating that the map was immediately next to the Hint icon, and too often wound up clicking Hint when I meant to check the map. However, all in all, this is a very good game.
For what it's worth, I'm an expert game player, although I usually play for enjoyment rather than difficult challenges, and I spent a relaxing few hours on this game.
A teaser at the end hints at a sequel -- I certainly hope so, and if so, that Mac users don't have to wait a lot longer than pc users.
One of the worst of the 200+ games I have bought from Big Fish.
If you can initially suspend your disbelief at the minimal (and increasingly inane) storyline as well as inept and/or unlikeable characters, the beginning of the game is middle of the road but quickly degenerates. I'm truly sorry I wasted my time completing it before sending it to the Trash on my iMac. The puzzles for the most part are ridiculously simple. Too frequently the instructions for moving forward (whether explicit or implied) are questionable; for example, to shoot at icicles above an eagle, you must shoot directly at the eagle. Toward the end of the game I wound up using the Hint button a lot so I could quickly finish; I kept thinking it couldn't get worse, but it did. The character of Amanda is appalling, and the game ending even more so.
Do not waste your money on this game, and if you value your time, don't waste a free coupon.
This is not just another rehash of all-too-familiar typical hidden object games (not my favorite genre). I truly enjoyed every minute I spent playing this game. The graphics are clear and quite beautiful, and I appreciated the setting (17th century Japan). Although I usually take advantage of options to hidden object puzzles (in this game, mahjong puzzles), I really enjoyed the variety of HOPs offered, including morphing objects. I enjoyed most of the puzzles as well. I'm looking forward to playing this game again in the future -- my personal test to qualify as a 5-star game.
