This was a very well made and enjoyable game with smooth game play, great graphics, and a fairly good background story and length. There was a good balance of adventure, hidden objects and puzzles, and I found the challenge to be moderate on the advanced level. The bonus was also well designed with a good length.
I originally thought this game was going to have a spooky theme, but it seemed to be more sci-fi as the game progressed. It reminded me of Elixir of Immortality, although I thought the graphics were much better in this game. It was a little hard to get into at first, but it grew on me as I played. However, I did not think it was nearly as good as some earlier games by these developers, such as Gravely Silent and Reincarnations 2, both of which I really loved.
Overall, a good game. I always look forward to more from these developers.
I recommend this game!

Again, this is an enjoyable, simple and visually pleasing release from ERS. Overall, this game is the same exact formula we have seen numerous times, with slightly different scenes and a slightly modified storyline. I do continue to play their games when I am in the mood to relax and not be challenged. I know exactly what to expect.
However, with that being said, I did notice a few improvements this time over some of the more recent ERS games - which is the first time I can say I have noticed anything different. I was beginning to think these developers were determined to continue turning a blind eye to any constructive criticism.
There was a third difficulty level, which was supposed to remove the unnecessary verbal guidance for each and every inventory item. This was true for about half of the items found - so that is a good thing. For the first time, there were a few places where I did not instantly know what to do next! But - it is clear the developers are still reluctant to let the player figure things out on their own. Hopefully the next release will remove these types of comments entirely on the hard mode.
Additional improvements included overall continuity with the artwork and graphics. I did not notice any rough "concept art" style scenes in the game, which I have noticed in four or five more recent games by ERS - as if they never finished refining parts of the final product.
One disappointment was that some scenes in the last chapter of the regular game seemed to be pulled almost directly from Haunted Halls Fears From Childhood (boy in the tree chapter) - yes I actually went to the walkthrough and looked because it seemed that familiar! And there continues to be too much recycling of the same soundtrack!
Fortunately, there are many, many other games out there that offer a greater challenge than ERS games. However, they are still a good choice for beginners, or for more experienced players who just want to relax and not think too much. Hopefully, these developers will offer a true increased difficulty level in the future to broaden their audience. According to their website, we should be seeing something new in the design of one of their upcoming games - I hope so!
I recommend this game!

I loved this game! One of the best of its kind. It had everything - excellent adventure elements, a good challenge level, a perfect pace and a great balance of puzzles, inventory and hidden objects. The story was good, the graphics were great and the game was long. The CE had a lot to offer, with a well-designed bonus game that added to the story, fun achievements, collectables, beautiful wallpapers and even a quiz and epilogue to add to the story. Loved it! I can't wait for the next in the series, Black Isle.
I recommend this game!

I really enjoyed this game! It had a good balance of adventure, hidden objects and puzzles and was the perfect level of challenge for what I wanted at the time - not too difficult, but enough thought needed to keep me engaged. The graphics were great, but voices would have made it even better. The game was quite long, with a very well designed bonus chapter. I thought it was worth the CE price - although it would have been nice if the extras were not locked until the game was over - I always dislike it when developers feel the need to do that...
Overall, this was a good one!

This was an excellent game in every way - it took me a long time to get through it. Beautiful graphics, good background story, great adventure elements - and it was very long. The map was essential. The bonus game was great as well, and I loved the morphing objects throughout the game - overall, a wonderful game and great CE extras - loved it!!
I recommend this game!

This was an excellent, high quality game. The graphics were crisp, clear and beautiful in true widescreen format (not a stretched/distorted widescreen). The game play was moderately challenging on the advanced mode, with great adventure elements, fun puzzles, and only a few hidden object scenes, which was a nice change of pace. The game was story driven, with very nicely done voice overs and good cut scenes. The CE edition had a good epilogue section, as well as achievements, which are always fun. There were beautiful wallpapers which you could set during the game, instead of afterwards, which I truly appreciate. I don't keep games on my computer after I play them, so hate it when the wallpapers are locked until after you have finished the game - I really have no use for them at that point. Overall, I was very impressed with this game, as well as the last Awakening game by these developers, Boom Zap. They really know how to put together a wonderful CE edition that seems worth the extra cost - great job!
I recommend this game!
