Started out great, and then they got lazy. This game was so tedious that after awhile, it just made me mad playing it. I was so impressed at the start when they gave a good challenging puzzle which took me a long time to solve, and then all the good reviews, I thought I would buy it. From there is went downhill really fast. Same old same old running around, back and forth. Would you just give me the darn screwdriver already so I can take down all the stuff that is attached to walls and under cupboards so I can put the silly gold bird back together? And then find half a scissor in one room, and go down and up the alley to find the other half, and then down and up the alley again, to put the 2 halves together, so you can go up and down the alley again to cut the lump out of the carpet. Really?? I know you can use the map, but once you start doing that, you have to use it for the rest of the game, as you lose track of where the locations are, and then it really disrupts the flow of the game. Almost done the game, and no more puzzles or mini-games so another one, that I can't wait to finish and uninstall. I seem to be writing alot of negative reviews lately but sadly am not alone. When you think about it, maybe there really isn't anything new that can be done anymore? I hope not. But what I don't understand is that players are getting frustrated with games that have alot of going back and forth, so why don't they stop doing that? If they would put more puzzles and mini-games into a game that would really challenge your brain, wouldn't that make for a better game? Maybe if BF would categorize the games better so I can find ones with challenging puzzles, as that is what I prefer, then I could find the games I like. Since the Hidden Object games are the majority of them now, maybe they need to break them down into better categories. HO - easy, HOP - expert, HOPA, expert, etc. Oh well, spring is almost here, and then I can start gardening, and maybe in the fall, some new and exciting games will be out by then. :) I don't recommend this game for my preference only, but for those who like a really easy nothing new game, then try the demo.
I don't recommend this game.

Not sure what all the negative reviews are about either, as I love this game. It was different, and reminded me of the old adventure games that I played back in the day. Music is important to me to set the atmosphere and this music was great and eerily added much to the game. The tablet thingy on the bottom left of the screen gives you clear instructions as to your next steps. The graphics are very well done. Only thing I can say bad about this, is it didn't support wide screen, so I had to do some property setting changes. I will be buying this game for sure, as it's about time some different stories are out there instead of the same old mystery castle, missing relatives, fairy tale stuff.
I recommend this game!

I loved this game, because I love puzzles, and there were lots of them, and they were the kind you had to really think about or were just plain fun. Was a bit short, but it will be one I will play over and over again, for the puzzles. The only thing that really annoyed me was the way the characters talked to Nancy. Not very respectful, and I found it demeaning to her character. Took some of the fun out of the game when you had to interact with them to find clues and get your assignments. Other than that, it was a great game, and I recommend it to add to your ND collection.
I recommend this game!

Love the music. I play this game when I feel like a relaxing game to play, and really love the music. I really enjoy the ending part of this game, when you get to endless puzzles. They are really challenging which is nice for a change, and very addicting.

Well, if I have to mute the sound on a game, then it's not worth buying. Where I live there is beautiful wild bird song, but none of it sounds like a squeaky mattress! It was so annoying, that I had to mute the sound, and that just takes too much out of the game. The graphics were beautiful, but again, a lot of cut scenes and running around trying to figure out where all the items in your inventory need to go. I would rather have more challenging puzzles then running around from scene to scene. Lately the games seem to have moved away from really unique and challenging mini games and puzzles and instead are giving us a lot of cut scenes that are pretty, but not the reason I play games. I want to use my brain, and not just look for half a butterfly inlay that goes into a door that opens a room, to start all over again looking for useless items. I wish I could find games that are a majority of mini games and puzzles, as that is what I prefer. I don't recommend this game due to the annoying squeaky bird noise, but try it and see for yourself.
I don't recommend this game.

The game was just ok. I like puzzles that get the brain thinking, and not just a bunch of stuff to keep you busy. For instance: you pick up a bunch of keys, and then you have to put the keys into the silhouette shape of them which is clearly outlined. What?? There were a lot of these kind of make busy tasks along the way. I agree with another reviewer that the light amulet was just another make work project, which was kind of dumb. The end big boss tree puzzle was ok. I could tell I was getting bored with it, as I couldn't wait for it to be done which indicates this game didn't have enough challenge or excitement to hold my interest until the end. It was just OK, but I will still recommend this game for kids.
I recommend this game!

I have so many Elephant games, and with the special on today, I thought I would try out some games that I yet don't have. This is a straight forward hidden object game, which isn't my preference, but I wanted to write this review because I liked the environment and music of this game so much.
The feel of the current MCF games have lost this, and if they want to get the feeling of good creepiness back to that series of games they need to take a long look at this game. I really enjoy TV shows about post apocalypse surviving and I think this series could definitely go that way, or maybe they could make a MCF game about this. The story lines of the current games out there are really lame, and this one is a very good example of what I would like to see. Looking forward to trying out the sequel.
I recommend this game!

I really enjoyed this game, as I love puzzles. Some other games I have tried recently have made the puzzles way too easy, but these were not too bad. I read another reviewer that commented they wished they made a game that was just straight puzzles and mini-games, and I totally agree. I really don't care about the story line. If I want a good story, I will read a book. With all the games out there, you can't create too many original and exciting stories, and can only go so far with missing children, abducted relatives, etc., so I enjoy when devs make a game with a spin on famous people or true events of the past. The graphics and artwork were also great. Not a fan of some games that seem to have got a bargain deal on the colour blue!! The colors are nice and bright, and very clear. Overall loved this game, and will try all the other Grim Façade games also.
I recommend this game!

I really like this type of game, but will wait for the SE to come out, as I don't really see much value in the extras. It could have used more puzzles, but then I am only judging the demo, so maybe there is more to come in the full game. One thing I really liked a lot was the music. It was really sinister and jazzy, perfect for this type of game.
I recommend this game!

I like lots of puzzles, and this game was mostly finding items to unlock areas that hold more useless items. It seems that this games dev spent most of the time on the beautiful graphics which is nice, but I would prefer more time spent on lots of stuff to do, and puzzles to complete. I don't like spending a lot of time trying to remember where an item needs to be used, and having to always rely on the map, as that really disrupts the flow of the game. As a collectors game, not enough extras to warrant a purchase. Does anyone really care about wallpaper and concept art?
I don't recommend this game.
