I normally love these games, but for this one, having a background noise of someone coughing is just disgusting. Please don't add that into the background sounds again. I like playing games to relax and not to be annoyed.
I agree with another reviewer, that this is the most enjoyable game I have played since the early MCF games. Best puzzles, best graphics, best everything. I will play this again, and hope that BF will release more games like this.
I'm glad I tried this game out, due to such bad early reviews, but then I gave it a try, and it turned out to be a fun game. A lot of activities to keep you busy. Good puzzles, and some challenging HOS. Overall it was just as good as any other new HOPA game that has come out lately. Give it a try and see if it's a game you like. I like puzzles, and this one had lots. Some really easy and some more challenging.
It's a good thing I didn't listen to all the negative reviews, and decided to try it, because I would have missed out on a really great game. It was really creepy, loved the graphics and story. It's an escape game, which I really like. What gave it the biggest creep factor to me was the music. The music had a kind of "eyes wide shut" kind of vibe, if you saw that movie, and I just really enjoyed it. I also, enjoyed the puzzles. Some were easy and a few were the kind that I enjoy doing. So all in all, I think this is a great game, and you should give it a try, and see for yourself whether you like it.
I haven't written a review in awhile, as there hasn't been any games out lately that have really proved to be worthy of one. I am almost finished this game, and have enjoyed it so much. There isn't one thing that I can say negative about this game. The story, the graphics and voice overs are just great. And the music is so beautiful. The best part are the puzzles. They are all my favorites in one game. Not too challenging or confusing that they become frustrating, but just the right amount of difficulty and a whole lot of fun. This is by far my most favorite game of the year.
Well, a lot of reviewers either love it or hate it, but I am one of the majority that love it!! This game is new and different, even though its a throw back to the first Ravenhearst game. I would much rather have a game like this, than boring, tedious back and forth greasing rusty locks, smoking out bees, finding runes and shapes to fill holes and locks. At least this game has lots to do and find, and I find the puzzles creative and fun. Not as challenging or graphically awesome as the first Ravenhearst or Madam Fate, but still great. I give the developers 5 stars for giving us something different than the same old, same old, which I presume all the negative reviewers must like. I hope that MCF keeps to this Dalimar theme, and the past characters, as there is a whole cast of characters, that they can build a story around, and link to this theme. The fat guy, the mysterious child, the sword swallower, the ghost chasers, etc. You can also tell that they put a lot of work into the detail and uniqueness of this game instead of the SOSO cookie cutter games that we have recently been presented with lately.
I can't believe this is an Elephant game. First time ever, I couldn't finish the demo of an Elephant dev game before uninstalling. The game play was horrible. What I hated the most was the inventory bar. It filled up so fast with stupid items that you needed to place in locks and holes, you were constantly clicking back and forth on the inventory bar to find what item you needed. What are the dev's thinking, when they present a game with the same repetitive play of bees needing to smoke out, oil, chains to connect, etc. etc. I'm surprised that this game passed the beta testing. Do the testers really say yes this is a new and exciting game, and the players will love it? If so, you need to find some better testers that will really give honest opinions, and not the same false 5 star rating. It's a good thing that Eipix came out with the new MCF game last week, as this was the first one I have bought in quite awhile. It just seems when it comes to HOPA games, that there is just nothing but the same old, same old.
Another game that is just the same as all the others that have recently been released. Mundane tasks, over and over again. So many tools that need their other part found, only to be rusty and need oil. How many jars of oil do you really need to oil all these hinges, tools, and metal plates? Can't you just keep one jar on hand? There wasn't near enough good puzzles to keep me entertained. A lot of little puzzles that you mindlessly clicked on numbers that you already had the code for taped up beside the lock. That is not a puzzle. Very few mini games that were not challenging, and the story was just so so. I have a folder that I keep my played games in, called "Don't Replay - Game Sucked". This is just another game, that I couldn't wait to finish, and add to this folder along with all the other games that I have played this past year. I think that's it for buying new games, if the dev's can't come up with anything new or challenging, as I will just replay all my old games that I purchased 4 to 6 years ago, which were really good.
I tried the demo, and thought maybe this might not be so bad, as it had a good couple of puzzles. Well, I'm a puzzle lover, and I have yet to find a game that has puzzles as good as the first Ravenhearst games. They were so creepy and creative! As far as I'm concerned, creating a really good game is, and should be like a piece of art that you worked really hard on, and be really proud to present. Why would you think that a game with a girl called Princess and a boy called Prince, who are in love and have to be rescued in the end would be an original creative production? Then top it off with the now familiar useless mundane tasks. Other people call them the zipper pull tasks. Now the zipper pull is replaced with hunting down 2 pieces of scissors or pliers, and then the screw to attach it. Then you have to find oil, cuz of course they are rusty. And don't just have this mundane task in the game once, but numerous times, and why after you have the tool, you wouldn't just keep it, as you know you will again have something to cut in a few minutes. I was also so disappointed with puzzles of the game. There were a couple that kind of held my interest, but then the rest were just so easy or annoying, I was so tempted to just skip them, but I just don't like skipping puzzles. What happened to the multi-layered puzzles that Elephant Games use to put in their games. I haven't seen these in any new games. Come on....are the game makers just getting lazy or maybe losing all their best people to other areas of the tech world. If this is the case, then tell me why we should purchase any new games, when they are all exactly the same. It has been awhile since a new game has really kept my interest through out the entire game.
