I grew up with Emily and her family. I followed all her games and stories. It may not be nothing special now when comparing when it first came out ( no many games were like this). Although, it's just running the restaurant in same kind of tasks, but it is how they designed this game, I just can't help loving it. I love the story, I love looking of food and buying items for the restaurant and finding the mouse. It maybe repetitive but it's fun.
the review is based on demo. I loved the way they put the challenge, a bit different then most of time management games. I didn't follow the guide so it took me a bit to realise how to finish the objectives/tasks. I like looking for the hidden items and you need to be a bit strategic to play the game. I also loved the help, if you are stuck, you can click on the icon and gives you a map and clues. Its brilliant help.
it's a shame, they copy Delicious Emily game style, but there is no fun with absolutely anything. I was hoping it will get more fun but after level 6 I could not continue.
Love this game's series and have all of them and they are all great fun. It was quite easy to get all 3 stars on a normal difficulty level, but still fun. I actually liked that they kept original tasks, being able to cut the trees, dig for the gold, etc and thanks god, they kept the Owl. Easy to find but still fun, I would miss it, if the owl was not there. I gave 5 starts to the game as it was good. The below extras were disappointment but didn't feel to judge the game based on extras. Just putting the comments in hope that developer reads them and take into an account for the next game. Shooting game was a huge let down, all the same shooting bandits from the train, every scene the same even the bandits appeared in the same place, nothing else to do. At least, in the previous ones you could shoot ducks and bandits and innocent civils if not careful and would have different backgrounds. collector's edition what is this about - just a title that you charge double for it. What do you offer for it, a wallpaper? the bonuses: exhibition building, what was that about? it could be a fun, if there was a choice to build own version, e.g. to chose a different type of lawn, or look or colour of the building, not just clicking randomly to finish the building. Not fun at all. And awards - not just this game, many others do too, a tiny picture of whatever it is for collecting all stars, or putting 100 fires. What is the excitement about it? These type of bonuses were fun 15 years ago, move on with the technology and the times.
Apart from this and in overall, I love the game and it would be even better if those little things - bonuses were more fun.
there is nothing new about this game, but I like that there were no changes. Normally people complain about no changes and that when the developer makes changes we complain about the changes. I finished the whole game and had lots of hours of fun. A bit challenging to get all stars, still glad that it was not too easy and had too think and be tactful. I hope they make more as there are hardly any good time management games now If you like this type of game you will enjoy it.
First, I played demo in the collector's version, and I thought it was confusing, no instructions, a bad copy of Rescue team, etc. After reading even more negative reviews, I almost was going to give it a miss.
Then I played demo for this game, and read the dialogue, which I normally skip. It gives you the instructions and when I stopped comparing it with the Rescue team game and its rules, I discovered that the game is actually fun.
Yes, it is a copy of Rescue Team, but the copy is more strategic game than original; for example you need to collect resources for the factories to work. It is a bit harder than the Rescue Team and I had to admit that I got bored with them, I have all 8 games but they are all same, just different package - I mean background. (still love them). So I welcome this slight change and its version of the game.
I was debating whether to give 4 or 5 stars, as it is not the best or the most excellent game.
I may not be totally objective, but in the last few years, there have been about 1 or 2 excellent time management games and the rest total rubbish. BIG FISH, I have been your member for good 15 + years, probably since your beginning, and please take a notice of what people are saying that your games are getting bad. I love this website, however the variety of the games you offer now, especially the time management games have lost quality. There are hardly any games and when they come up it is usually the most boring game - Hercules. I'd rather you offer 1 game weekly but the quality game, than producing total of 6 - 7 rubbish games per week. So, thank you for this game that actually despite the bad reviews, is a good game. Not the best, but still a good game and if people give it a chance, it is a lovable game.
The only issue with the game is technical, however I do not mark technical issues as it could be my laptop fault. There were no issues, when I played it in the collectors version, . In the standard version, (I don't know how, as I never had this before in any other game ) when I finish a level, there is no an option to chose/click on replay and/or next level. The game continues like being frozen, and the only option to move to the next level is to click back or leave the level. Luckily, when it gets me on the main map, it accepts a previous level and I can continue to the next level.
I would buy the standard version, as I do like the game, but also, I have 3-4 vouchers and I cannot use them as there are no other better time management games to buy.
What a lovely little game, a real delight. After so many boring and poor quality games, finally something worth buying and playing. I almost gave up after first few minutes, thinking this is time management but not great, then a gave it 5 more minutes and realized the game is similar to Hero of the kingdom, if not better. I hope they make more of this and I love the ending.
Yes, you need to gather food and wood, but soon you realised that you can make weapons and healing potions etc, you need to think of your next steps and how to kill the ogres and other monsters.
I read other reviews and I was happy that there was finally a good game. I love A Series of Unfortunate Events and i personally haven't seen another game that is same or similar.
People will probably like it if they never played A Series of Unfortunate Event.
However while in the other game you have a story line, finding a killer and the puzzles get harder with level. in this game there is no story line.
You have 6 panels - the first 3 are way to easy you can do them all 3 under a minute. 4th and 5th are a little bit harder, it may take you up to 5 minutes to solve. The 6th level is the only level with a good challenge and worth playing. Yes you collect items to make a potion, but that's all, there is nothing to with them, unless I am missing something.
If there was a story to it and more challenging levels or something to do with potions I would give it 5 stars. Without those, it is just repeating over and over the same thing.
When I played a demo of the collector's version I gave it 1 star and I was very disappointing with the game. I tried this game again, and I don't know if they made any changes, but I truly enjoyed it. The only disappointment this time was that I didn't want the game to finish.
I didn't like caches at first but as the game progressed, it became more fun to search for them. The challenge level was good as I had to play a few times some of the levels to get 3 stars. It is very similar to previous games, but still different and fun.
I always give 3 stars for the storyline as most of the time I am not bothered with. I play with sound off so if any game has annoying sound I do not hear it.
As the previous review said, the demo and early levels do not justify the game. I took me hours to finish it, the game gets better with each level, and you need to think which workers to use. Some levels were quite easy, some I had to do a few times, which was great, as it gave me a challenge. The only thing I was disappointed, that normal version, does not give you bonus levels, but hey, I decided to spend less money. Or maybe I haven't done something to get to them. On overall one of the best games of this type that came out in the year.
