In most of the games, the first 3-4 levels are usually introduction into the game, and it didn't grab me at all. Because of one review saying that it gets interesting after level 8, I decided to give a try an finish Demo; I am glad that I did. It is a lovely game, some levels are hard, some are not. I had to think which way to collect gold, food, etc, in order to get 3 starts. It is nothing new, however there haven't been that many good games of this type recently, so I am pleased that this one is out. I would give 5 starts, but there is not much originality and to me it looks like a cross between Kingdom for the princess, Vikings brothers and Northern tales games. Luckily I love these games so I like this one too.
I recommend this game!
Rome continues to flourish, but a hidden threat is looming on the horizon in the latest Roads of Rome adventure!

This is based on demo. If I haven't played and bought all the previous Roads to Rome, I would think it was a very good game, but this feels like going backwards. I don't understand why developers always have to put some 'improvements', this game was perfect but now it is OK.
I didn't like much graphics and cache, what was that about? There used to be the excitement to look into hills, crevices,etc, looking for a little bump, now it's a shell, sometimes in the water and the rest is more guessing not finding it. I played in the easy mode and I found it was hard to get 3 stars, maybe because I was spending to much time looking for a cache. Also picking up or clicking stars was very annoying, it was OK to get extra bonus by getting stars, but why not automatically going into the bonus, instead of picking up/hoovering them.
Otherwise could be a nice little game.
I will wait for a sale or normal game but not the collector's edition.

I couldn't believe when I saw the game, as Hero of the Kingdom has been one of my favourite games ever. I bought it straight away and I wanted so much to give it 5 stars, but I couldn't.
Why I dislike the game:
1. too, too short. I finished the game in 4 hours, all the Kingdom games took few days.
2. boring so boring, - In the beginning it was OK but after half way through the game, I realised all what I am doing is chopping the wood, picking up the berries and flowers, did a bit of fishing and hunting, finding eggs and mushroom. I killed a few spiders and trolls. The point of it, there is nothing else to do. No excitement, in the other Kingdom games, there were various tasks, fighting zombies and pirates, making weapons, and other objects, many more tasks to do and they were fun.
3. again boring and repetitive - I had to go back to previous levels to make potions and food constantly. During the second part or the last two hours of the game I was getting so annoyed and bored, as it seems that all I need to do is to constantly make food to get hearts, constantly making potions and buying weapons ( breaking all the time) to kill few spiders to progress few steps.

4.story line - so lame, so flat. There is no much conversation with other characters as no many tasks to be done, plus game is too short, The main story was so boring, no excitement at all. I cannot explain much without making it a spoiler. At one point I bought a boat, but there was no use of it, didn't even get in to do fishing
5. Hidden treasure and task- In this game there was no really surprise,. For example I think there were about 3 hidden caves and one cellar. .Eye icon would point for you to search it to find a treasure. Way too easy and not many hidden surprises.

I bought the game on the sale for less than £3, so for that money, I can't complained. The cheap game.
I don't recommend this game.
Take on new time management challenges and help three young archaeologists unearth the mysteries of the past and piece together the story of the brave Xi Niu!

I almost gave a miss to this game due to bad reviews. I have had enough with this type of games and I have stopped playing them. However, the story cough my eye and I had to say, although predictable, it was very enjoyable. The game was a bit slow and confusing to start, but few levels further I was hooked on the game.
There are two stories, one in modern times and the other in ancient China, which I tough was great.
Yes, the story and game are based on delicious Emily, there is mouse Carl to find and to fetch items, but that is the ONLY similarity. I am so pleased that there is no cooking and restaurant's tasks, instead you are at the archaeology site and the sites in ancient China are garden, concubine quarters, library, etc. Also, you can switch between two words, so the tasks are not too repetitive, and you don't need to play so many same levels like in the other games.
I bought it on a sale, buy one get one free.
Personally I think this is one of the best games of this type and I hope they make more.

Yes, it is almost a replica of the first Delicious Emily games, so what?; this is what I was looking for - the old type of Emily's style games and not the new Emily's games that are ruined, boring and annoying. This is like Emily with Orcs. Story was funny and I had fun playing the game. I hope they will make the series of this game, and the developer does not follow Emily's suit and ruin it with stupid mini games.
Yes, the game has its flows, it is not too hard, and could do more with decorating tavern or choices what to buy for Gwen's room but I hope the developer does not start changing the game and making it too modern; sometimes the game doesn't need any of this, sometimes people want to play the same way and this is almost like going back quite few years when I fell in love with Emily and her family. It could have been a great game, but something is missing. There is nothing really new; although workers get upgraded every time are used, I would preferred that I could buy the upgrades , it is more fun that way. Also why developer thinks is fun to get achievements, it would be much better again to get points and maybe decorate the cave, village or hut. I've got bored with the game before I finished demo.
On overall it is not a bad game but there is nothing exciting about it. I would recommend to get it on the sale.

Love this game. Lots of levels. You got to think about your moves.
I had on two levels issues with not showing the items , Got out of game and came back, no issue after.
I like the challenges, I played expert level and got all 3 stars. I had to repeat some few times to get 3 stars. You need to build few buildings which they give you extra workers speed etc. so once you get all the buildings , it makes easier and you can go back to the the levels to get 3 star.

Moai has delivered another game that is fun. Lots of levels, I had lots of hours of playing the game. I had to say I missed the ghost/spirits but still fun.
The only problem with the game, it would take about 1 minute to start another level, maybe my laptop is slow.

This is based on demo. I loved delicious games and their spin offs until they introduced those stupid mini games. So far there is only one mini game but it is not disturbing the play, I am worry that it will be more later on. Yes, like the other reviews they made Patrick as an idiot not funny and Francois like a trash not party animal or funny guy. He was my favourite character, so don't make him different. I live in UK and sometimes wonder from which country the developers are? The characters are getting stereotyped, like this is 70' or 80's not 2019.
Otherwise the game is not too bad and is the closest so far to what Emily's games used to be. I recommend to buy this game on sale, not worth collector's edition.

I love Hero I and II and so happy to have the 3rd one. It's a very, very long game and many things to find, which is great.
I gave 4 stars only as it missing fun tasks form previous games; in this one I did so much hunting and picking berries and flowers that I got bored with.
I still loved the game and had hours of fun. I will be waiting for hero IV and V ....
