I have played the first 9 levels and as far as I can see there are no changes to the mechanics compared with this developers previous solitaire games, it is just some of the graphics and soundtrack that have changed. Trophies, the shop, emeralds, scissors, keys, etc are the same as before. However, this game has more bonus levels than the Jewel Match 2 Solitaire Collector's Edition and also has extra mahjong matching games as well as extra solitaire games (none of which seem to be the same as provided in their earlier games). As usual, the extra levels etc are not available until you have completed the main game. I liked the graphics and undersea scene but docked a star because I hated the shoals of fish that fill the screen swimming in both directions when you get 3 stars for a level. I have assumed that the level of difficulty will increase quite quickly. Overall, I think this game is worth its Collector's Edition rating, especially if you do not have the developer's solitaire previous games.
This game reminds me of the painting by numbers sets with little pots of oil paint that I used to enjoy doing a long time ago. However, now there is no mess! I liked the bright colours in the first 8 pictures but I would like to be able to jump to any of the pictures in the game without having to finish each set of 8. Also, although the BF advert states there are 100+ pictures, I think that there are likely to be only 64 (8x8). [The advert for Pixel Art 6 also stated there are 100+ pictures but there seem to be only 80 (8x10).] I found the enlargement and help options helpful when I was trialling the game and think that I will probably buy it.

I have been enjoying playing this game since I bought it last week as I like the challenge of large grids.
I was surprised there have been so many complaints about the size of the squares. My eyesight is not particularly good but the dots in the squares and skeletal finger pointer have helped me avoid mistakes. Also I like the white lines marking off every 5 squares when filling in with black or a dark colour. I also opted to just show coloured dots in the squares of other colours rather than the whole box.
I have been playing on the basic level as I don't like having to mark off all the blank squares but I ignore the numbers crossed off and rely on logic so I have not reduced my rating
The animations when a stage is finished add to the game but the stage titles were obviously not spell checked - see Stage 4 photo above for example.
Oh dear I had hoped that this second game wouldn't be plagued with duplicate cards (like the first one) when the number of cards in the layout and card deck total a single pack of 52 or less. For example, in level 2 there were 3 separate 3 of clubs cards, in level 3 there were 3 Queen of diamonds. At this point I gave up as there is no point trying to remember which cards have been played in order to solve the level. Not for me but you may like to try it for yourself.
I preferred the stylish graphics of the earlier nonogram games from this developer to the cartoons in this one. However, I liked the distinct colours and also the highlighting of the colour you are using, both outside the grid and round the square your cursor is hovering over. This should help to avoid mistakes when the colour is changed automatically by the program.
I was concerned that the instructions mentioned guessing the colour of squares but so far this has only been necessary once (the orange in puzzle 11).
The graphics suggest that like their other games the size of the grids will not get any bigger than 20x15 which I think is a pity as the puzzles are all fairly easy after a bit unlike the Gizmos games that go up to challenging 30X25 grids and can be solved just using logic (and time).
I quite liked the new addition of a timer especially as it does not seem to affect anything else so you can ignore it if you want to.
Despite my criticisms, I have bought the game and given and given it 4 stars.

Other reviewers have described the mechanics/features of this game so I will not repeat them. I liked the choice of types of solitaire, the graphics and background noises and clues but would like to have had the choice of turning down the sounds and music rather than just on or off. I was also pleased that there did not seem to be any duplicate cards in the levels I played in the demo. However, I think there were too many joker cards and it was too easy to earn booster cards or buy an extra roll back so there seemed very little challenge at least in the early levels. Also the game froze when I used 2 booster cards to finish a matching pairs level on my Windows 8.1 laptop although it seemed ok when I closed the game and then re-opened it and it picked up from where I had got to. It is difficult to judge how long the game is as you need different numbers of gold cards to complete each level and this affects how many separate layouts are needed before you can play to get a clue. Overall I recommend the game if you can live with the challenge level.
Whilst I agree with the positive comments made by other reviewers of this innovative game, I think that there are also a number of negative points. The main problem for me is that sometimes you have to either use a hint or risk losing a life by guessing whether a square should be marked or not (e.g. in puzzles 6 and 7). Also you cannot change whether the numbers are crossed off before you finish a line as you can in most nonogram games. Others have mentioned the difficuly with dark squares on a dark background. The sound levels can only be on or off (and for me the music was too loud). As a minor point, you cannot insert your own name as the player. Overall, I liked the concept of the game but I am afraid I will not be buying it. However, please give it a try because you may think I have been too critical.
I had hoped this game might be as good as Regency Solitaire, one of my favourites of this type of game, but was disappointed. The graphics are not particularly clear and there seems to be very little challenge. What I really dislike is that 2, 3 or even 4 duplicate cards (for example 4 spades) can appear in the layout even though less than 52 cards are used in the layout and the reserve pack. This means there is little scope to plan your game.
Having played 4 different types of solitaire, I have mixed feelings about this program. The range of games is good and makes a welcome change from the one up/down game (which is included in the golf category). The graphics are fairly basic but there are options to alter them. On full screen on my Windows 8.1 laptop the cards looked squashed but by changing the resolution to 1280x720 in the options menu in the program they looked fine albeit with margins either side of the screen which I don't mind. The tutorials for each game are reasonably clear but I would have thought them better had I read the help screens accessed via the ? button on the title screen. For example, I thought there was no auto complete and didn't like clicking every card but the help screen states that you can right double click to automatically move cards that are available. There are no trophies but the program does give you a score for each game you play (win or lose) and keeps statistics of how do have done. I liked the program enough to buy it and recommend you give it a try.
I wasn't going to bother to try yet another solitaire game but I'm glad I did.
This is a one up or down type of game and there is a target of stars and cards with a chef's hat for each deal. Once you reach it there is an auto finish option which I liked. You also earn "cash" which is higher if you get longer runs of cards and it can be used to "buy" items to give you information such as the number of cards left in the stock pile. Sometimes a certain card has to be released to clear another card for example a tongs card to clear bacon from a card. There are achievements such as getting a combo of 15 cards.
There are 3 levels to chose from at the start of the game. I only played on the middle one so it is difficult to judge the overall level of challenge. However on the hard level you cannot go from King to Ace or vice versa and get fewer helpful cards.
There is a choice of 2 decks of cards and 4 card backs and I liked the clear styles and backgrounds which seemed relevant to the theme. The music is okay if you play it softly and the background sounds are good, especially the crashing plates if you fail a level.
If you don't want to play the story line #which seems fairly weak so far#, there is a free play option.
This game reminded me a bit of Regency Solitaire so if you liked that you may like this one. I played 30 minutes before buying it at today's sale price.
