I guess I've progressed beyond having so many hidden object scenes and more adventure type games. Seems like there was only 1 or two actions to do in each scene and then it was HO after HO. No hint outside HOs and no journal or map. I was WONDERING why I didn't have this Puppet Show when the ERS games were on sale so I got this one. Since it wasn't my cup of tea I won't recommend this one but the others I loved.
A LONG fun game and especially enjoyed all the set sceneries to play in. Who cares if the lips/mouth aren't in sync with the words? To me, the quality of the play is the important thing and this one reeks of it. I really wanted to play some more after playing the SE so bought the CE for the bonus game. Was disappointed in the length of that so I feel the SE would have been the better deal afterall.
Story line, etc. have been explained but want to get my vote in as a wonderful game! Once you free the monkey he follows you everywhere and really starts to "chatter" at you when you come across something he wants to help you with. It's a LONG game and SO worth the money! The map is great even though it's not transportable and I think it's because when your cursor changes to the arrow to move to another scene it tells you at the bottom of the screen where that arrow is taking you. I don't usually enjoy the puzzles but loved these which were on the easier and fun side which got a little harder in my opinion toward the end.
I knew from reading other's reviews that this would probably be a short game but I finished the demo in 38 minutes and see from the walkthrough that I was just about to enter Chapt. 3 (which is about halfway)
Very grainy graphics, voices are clear but lips don't move. Dialogue can at least be skipped or if you read fast like me you can "continue" before they are through speaking.
Hidden object scenes have some simple interactions. Puzzles that I came across were easy and I'm not a puzzle person.. skip a lot of them but not these.
I will definitely pass on this one which is disappointing because you would think Big Fish would offer better games for Breast Cancer Month. .. where part of proceeds go to them.
Loved every second of this game. Talking to the people was FUN... and having to go on a scavenger hunt to locate things for them or complete a chore was so much better than finding hidden objects in a junk pile! I own the CE but this game is a good stand alone, too. I don't know WHY this game hasn't received a 5 star yet but at this price you can't go wrong so give it a try!
While others raved I expected it to knock my socks off. I played in Casual mode. It's a good game but nothing exciting and new in the trial. Positives: no penalty for over clicking in HOs, Hint button charges quickly and points where you need to go, the skip button in puzzles charges very quickly
I'm still waiting for more games like Mystery Case Files 13th skull where real people talk to you, give you clues about how to help them before they will help you.
This was a fun game and I thought it would be a short game but I was wrong. I am no expert when playing these games and I thought I was halfway through after the demo. oh no.. probably took me 5 hrs or so even skipping a lot of the puzzles (which were hard for someone like me who needs more playing instruction than what is given). Loved the changing of the light in the rooms. Bought this on the 1/2 price sale and glad I did.
I recommend this game!

Amusement World!
Enjoy a thrilling and delightful romp through a world-class amusement park!
To each his own but for me this game was NOT fun. Super tiny hidden objects and the hint button took a long time to charge (especially for kids who get impatient). Quit after 30 minutes and had only played 2 games. My hand was sore from so much clicking!! I really thought this might be a winner for the grandkids but am really disappointed.
I bought and played this game a while back and enjoyed it immensely! After reading the reviews I think I'll go back and play it again because I had forgotten how much fun it was for me. You can read the other reviews for more information but if you don't get this game as a daily deal I can assure you it's worth the full price, too. If they came out with another dollhouse I would snatch it up in a minute.

Won't go into description of game, voice overs, etc. because they've all been done. A LONG game and bonus chapter well worth the price to complete the story. The only thing I would have liked to see is a map. I sat and drew out my own so I wouldn't get lost.
