I haven't been this impressed with an Eipix game since the first Final Cut game. The amount of work.. the creativity.. the story.. the FABULOUS hidden objects. The artwork is so appropriately dark and grimy for this telling of a myth which you act out as being told by the antiques dealer. (whose memory sometimes isn't so good) This is one of those games I made myself play in "spurts" because I didn't want it to end. PLEASE, Eipix..more of this dreadful series!!!!! Take your time and give it the care you have given this one.
SO sorry to say that I almost got a cavity from the "sweetness" and light after finding the dead girl in the bathtub. Based on the beta and part of the demo only and not knowing your other two games I would have thought this would be a good game to play with my 3rd grade granddaughter. She would have loved doing the dream/reality thing, she would have loved dressing up the animals in the hidden object, and would have enjoyed finding the items to put back into the scenes at the candy store. Me.. not so much.
And what kind of policeman leaves the scene of a crime to drive a detective to another location??????
The whole time I'm looking for shapeshifters and some kind of magic and when I spotted the old man I thought I'd found one at last! But no, he was just an old man who just GAVE me his mirrors.
At the very end of the beta I thought "here we go" but it ended........
So disappointed to give you my negative impressions because I wanted to like it, I really did.
Waited for a good sale so I could purchase this game and believe me it was worth the wait!
Other developers take note! Not everyone loves puzzles after puzzles but a lot of us love a good original story line, FUN mix of creative HOs, and good balance between easy/hard puzzles.
If you are like me then you will appreciate the effort to provide all of the above in this second Dark City game (which was superb) by this amazing developer.
A nice LONG game and long on fun. Great for Halloween. Wonderful hidden objects and thanks to the easy/hard puzzle option I was able to work out most. (prefer hos and games with close to equal amount of both and not puzzle intensive games) Match 3 option for hos. Money well spent.

Played the beta and part of the demo.
While we have a cat sitting on the left side of the screen I wouldn't say he was a helper... I had to help HIM by supplying what he needed to lock things back up.
The story line and gameplay FUN. The hidden object scenes creative and FUN. The puzzles/mini games were actually not mind bending and were actually pretty FUN for someone who prefers not to have them. All in all, I had FUN which is rare for me these days with recent games.

Standing ovation to this bright newcomer Cordelia Games!
I cannot remember when I've enjoyed the complete package of a game in a long time. Conversational interactions between the brothers were spot on in their wonderful dialect. Story line grabbed me and didn't let go. Game play was fun. Puzzles were ok for someone who doesn't care for puzzles and wants equal HOs to puzzles. Because this game was so enjoyable I was most forgiving for the lack of interactions in their HOs.
Loved this CE and hope to check out more of their games in the future.

After playing the beta and some of the demo I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. While it wasn't as much fun as the first game in the series and the characters weren't as engaging as the first game I DID find my myself enjoying the ride. While I prefer HOS to puzzles I found the junk pile HOs becoming tedious by the end of the game.
What a stellar game from 4 Friends. A new story line and excellent game play. The HOs were very interactive list types. I am one who usually ends up skipping most puzzles but these were fun and was able to successfully complete 3/4 of them.
