I love this developer who brought us not only Witch's Pranks Frog's Fortune but Namariel Legends. Iron Lord. I agree that this game had some minor bugs but that didn't take away my enjoyment of the game because I was able to get past them.
We meet up again with some familiar characters from Iron Lord and love the continued steam punk theme.
Wish there were more hidden object scenes because they were my favorite.
A great way to spend a cc since there's NO CE's out or perhaps even coming out by the major developers I want.
Overall, a fun game and would like to see more from this developer
I recommend this game!

I was disappointed in this highly anticipated game because I was expecting the whole game to be a psychological thriller but to me, it wasn’t. I rate the game a 5 star as long as I was playing inside the prison asylum. However, suddenly I was playing outside the asylum and began having to perform mundane tasks like we’ve seen so many times before (i.e. batteries for flashlight, shards that had to be wrapped, etc.) I was reminded of an a-MAZE-ing game I played where this also happended but at least I had fun.
The second half of the game I can only rate a 3 while trying to get back into the asylum to rescue my sister. Was expecting to experience the same creepy thriller of a game but I never did.
The main game seemed very short! (and once again we experience the gratuitous battle against the evil beings)
Playing the bonus game I was hoping that it was going to be creepy and thrilling. It was not. Again, disappointed that it was a prequel to the time it was a mansion in what appeared to be a Victorian period and once again it was pretty mundane with the creation of the light source and birth of the shadows.
Still waiting for the next real psychological thriller that will be a TRUE FEAR for me.

Adding my 5 star review to this game. We don't see a lot of games from this developer but when we do they are definitely home runs. This game is everything I expect and more. A great original storyline to boot!
If you've played their games before you are well aware of their creativity in the hos... progressives... very challenging!
The voice over of the little girl is amazing and she sounds like a little girl of that age (unlike some games where it's obviously a grown woman)
One of the BEST features of this game is an actual JOURNAL that I had to refer to several times for codes, etc.
The adventure part of the game was fantastic...I didn't use inventory items right away and actually had to think and try to remember where I should go to use an item.
This intermediate player will always purchase this developer's games because I know immediately that it's going to be fun, challenging, good mix of puzzles/mini games, and finally hidden obj. scenes that aren't your run of the mill word lists.
(not one to use maps much, I had to.. several times.. and it was transportable and your collectibles, morphing objs. were noted on it)
I recommend this game!

sigh...... as it turns out this game was way too easy to play for this intermediate gamer.
Am now forcing myself to play the bonus chapter..... which is also not challenging in the least.
I don't recommend this game.

Finished this game days ago and after not being able to come up with enough words to praise it am just adding my rating of 5++ stars.
Unbelievable creativity...
I used used to say "where's the FUN?" to this developer's games but no more..... if future games are of this calibur they will be an instant buy!
I recommend this game!

I normally don't buy a Sea of Lies Game but this one caught me by surprise ! I LOVED IT from beginning to end. This one was quite the adventure with so much to do. The voice overs for the pirates were GREAT and so was the artwork that went into creating their appearances.
A good length for main game and bonus chapter was more than some I've played.. a good sequel.
I chose to play Match-3 in lieu of some of the hidden objects but was disappointed to see the Match-3 in the extras was one of those "endless" games with no real reward.
Just when they won me over Eipix is retiring the series. Hopefully they will start creating more of this caliber that isn't (hard) puzzle laden for those of us who prefer more adventure and creative hidden objects.
I recommend this game!

I haven't seen this developer around for a while so it was like old home week for one of my favs. It was like this game was dug up in a time capsule and I loved it. Oh how I've missed having a journal..and here it is and we had to rely on checking it often for important information.
I didn't mind having no voice overs, wasn't aware there was a map until I read another review. The hint worked very well if and when I got stuck (and I did!).
Love this long SE gem that others have told the story of.
I am more than happy to support developers other than the ones who usually dominate this site.
HOURS of fun!
I recommend this game!

Yes, it's an easy, fairly lateral game and the storyline was reminiscent of the first Cadenza but I had a lot of fun today playing this game. Loved all the more creative and interactive hidden object scenes. I loved the music and only turned it down and not completely off like I do in other games.
The bonus game was a very short sequel to the main game and not necessary if you want to wait for the SE.
(after the second Cadenza and some games that followed I thought Mad Head had lost it's edge.. so kudos for a very fun adventure but hope to see a little more challenge and non-lateral gameplay in future games)
I recommend this game!

I was so anxious to play this wonderful game that I started right in without going to the "More Info" screen where when clicking on "Help" it explained a lot about the gameplay but also this is where it shows your achievements.
What a wonderful CE quality game presented to us as a SE.
Others have described the storyline, etc. but I especially loved the highly interactive HOs.. altho' some of the items were much too small.
Playing the Match 3 alternative... if you click on "hint" it will show you instructions on how it's played.
Replayable HOs and Mini Games as well as wallpapers, music, and concept art.
I had many hours of fun with some good challenges.
Looking forward to their next game!
Hugs from Cinci
