Game play with no explanations would be frustrating for those who've never played this kind of game before. You have to find the elements pictured in pop-up circles that surround an objective, and those elements have some assembly required which entails finding the parts.
Parts may be laying around in plain sight, partially hidden under something that has to be moved (or not) or found in an HO scene or a puzzle/mini game.
I was having rainy day fun playing when THE BIG DOWNER hit: the demo has a cut-off which leads me to suspect the game must be very short indeed.
Not interested. Can't afford to spend my money on short games. What little money I can spend on games has to provide a good stretch of entertainment.
IMO, yeah - it's a fun little game but I'm not buying.

Based on the demo (Advanced difficulty level), I'm sorry I missed the weekend sale. This game definitely made my wish list. Hope I can stay off the buy page 'til the Halloween sale, but the good time I had playing the Dreamatorium demo may overcome my willpower!
And yes - it's wonderful to play a HOG Adventure that's not dark and dreary for a change. Love the eerie games, but it's great to have a break and we haven't really had a good fun break since the last Snark Busters.
My Game Manager is loaded with Collector Editions. About 2 days ago, I got bloody tired of running around from location to location in search of A to make B to assemble with C to open D to get the key for F and switched to Match 3's and HOG's to give my old gray matter a rest.
This puppy has all kinds of bad reviews, but I decided to try it for myself. Gotta' tell ya', it's a great break.
Sure, the graphics are a bit fuzzy, but my eyes adjusted pretty quickly. Yeah, the English is a bit off; but it's funny! "Get rich after death." What a hoot. I guess in the dev's world, you get to take it with you. Besides, it's fun to match the drawings.
In a fading world devoid of color, the ghost of Nikola Tesla reaches through the Ether and invites you on an incredible adventure through time and space.

I'm sorry, I blipped this one from my line-up wih 2 minutes left to go on the demo.
Now, don't get me wrong - the game is well-designed and challenging; but even with the voice sound off I quickly tired of the constant pop-up chatter from Nikola. It interupts the flow of the play like too many commercials during a TV show.
Without that, I would have bought the game.
If you don't mind listening to the dialog or clicking through it, then I do recommend this game.

Other than flickering in some scenes, the game is excellent. I seldom have to use the Guide more than once, but I hit it 5 times during this game, albeit a couple of those hits were just, plain CRS.
My only complaint is that HOS call-outs were frequently way off the mark.
That causes a major trust problem, or another level of challenge, depending on your viewpoint. Regardless, a slew of misnamed items is disrespectful to gamers. Like trying to read a good book that is loaded with typos.
For me, it means that an eagle can be almost anything at all except and eagle. With luck, it will actually be a bird of some sort and not a frypan. If it's a frypan, I'll have to use the Hint button.
A couple of HO Adventure gaming years ago, this game would have rocked for me. I highly recommend it to those who are relatively new in the genre.
I had a major duh moment when I had to use the hint button or dinner would have burned, so the game is not without challenge even for one who plays at more advanced levels. It's a lot of fun, bought it after 5 minutes of demo play.
I was truly disappointed when it was over so quickly, but I have to add that it would have taken me longer to get to the end even a year or so ago.
I hope the game sells well enough that the developers will consider a longer version on the next go-around.
