Some games grab your attention and you just can't stop playing and before you know it, your trial time is up and you press that "buy" button cause you have to keep playing - well, this wasn't that type of game for me. I love HOG's and this would have been better, in my opinion, if the background story wasn't so long and quite frankly, tedious. Just tell me a little background (the game title pretty much says it all); tell me there is anything special to look for that enhances the play, such as stars, clovers, ravens, whatever; tell me if there are magical objects that disappear and reappear as something else - TELL ME THOSE KINDS OF THINGS! Okay, enough about what I didn't care for with this game, now what I did like - the graphics are great. The puzzles are good, the H.O. scenes are very easy. I had higher expectation because of the title - this is why I've learned that playing the trial game is best before buying. Not a game I would purchase unless it was on the daily deal.
Love the H.O.G.'s and this is one of the best. Talk about CREEP factor - between the speaker voice, as in coming from speakers, the creep factor of a true nut case, and the serial killings - this is fantastic. You need the volume up for this one to get the true atmosphere that they want you to experience...turn off the lights, play by the screen glow and keep your doors locked cause this one has you turning to look over your shoulder. You stay in suspense cause you just don't know what will happen next and it feels like one false move and you will lose your life...keeps you on the edge of your seat. If you love the Mystery Case File HOGs then this will be right up your alley. If you haven't tried HOGs - then try this one, lots to do from action, to puzzles to finding the objects. Love it.
