THE “ELECTRI-CITY” JUST ISN’T THERE FOR ME TO PLAY THIS GAME

fromAfter this game, devoted son Jack, his adoring mom and sister are going into a family business of designing a fashion line of clothing for the sophisticated pet ferret.
OVERVIEW: Jack is back in another game in this 3-star game. It is a devoted son to the rescue of dear ole mom, lost in Sallenville in a boarding (or is it “boring”) school for abducted girls. Armed with his “Wizards R’ Us” chemistry kit and helper ferret Bertha, Mama’s darling boy is on the case to conjure up some trouble for the evil witch, Delora. Just like those chemistry kits you got as child, you too can experience “better gaming through chemistry” as you grow your own crystals and create a host of potions and chemical brews. Jack and his mom will go back in time to learn a little more about the family history. Hopefully, his mom’s new upcoming book about the family will be a “howling” success!
This is a great game for children or those who like non-challenging games, tongue-in-cheek humor, or this series. The game adds yet another new evildoer, Delora, to this series witch’s brew of baddies. The graphics are decent. There are more HOP scenes than puzzles in this game. For once, we have a game in this series which has HOP scenes that are creatively designed. There are few puzzles and those in the demo are extremely easy. Personally, I am tired of the series, the gimmicks, and the antics of the helpers - this time Ferret Bertha. I absolutely hate this series. However, if you like it – go for it!
HELP ME BERTHA: Get me out of this city and this game! Grunting Bertha, your helper, returns to perform all those “cutesy” antics some of us have come to hate. You will get to dress Barbie Bertha in an array of costumes. You will also demonstrate your ingenuity as you design her outfits as well. Her outfits include a Hazmat suit, a helmet created from a kitchen pot, and an improvised jet pack suit which allows her to fly around the scene.
HOP SCENES: They are the best part of the game. They demonstrate creativity and innovation. Included are several multiple-step ones. There are several mini-HOP scenes in which you locate a few items to create inventory items. One of the scenes is a list of items which has a puzzle included within it. My favorite scene was the storybook scene which has three different activities within the scene.
PUZZLES: The puzzles are all easy. I found the puzzles the weakest part of the game. There are quite a few manual dexterity puzzles. Bulls-eye! In one you must take out a man-eating plant by zapping its eyes. You also must use your boot to kick weeds in your way on an ice pond. Other puzzles include a replacement puzzle in which you must place items into their correct position in a dollhouse. You also have a multiple-step puzzle with three extremely easy puzzles to light up three lamps.
LEVELS: Casual, Normal, Hard, Custom Hint: 10 to 35 seconds Skips: 10 to 50 seconds
EXTRAS: Map is provided as you play the game Witches Legacy Family Album to learn the story about this family. Chemistry Kit. – You will receive items to place in the kit and a recipe book for potions. 11 Achievements Collect 36 puzzle pieces for 4 jigsaw puzzles. The pieces practically jump out at you. 34 Morphing objects 9 Wallpapers, 3 Screensavers, 12 Concept Art, Soundtrack
HERE ARE THE DETAILS (SPOILERS) FOR THOSE WANT MORE INFORMATION ON THE HOP SCENES AND PUZZLES IN SEQUENCE
HOP SCENES: You have the option to play a thematic Matching Card game instead. A. Mini-HOP scene. Locate 6 items in a book from the scene behind the book. B. List of items. Each item found uncovers a piece of a mini-puzzle which is a switch puzzle in which you create a picture and then add items back into the picture. C. Mini-HOP scene. Help the Spirit of the Lake collect 6 ghosts. D. Mini-HOP scene. Locate 6 shoes hidden in a scene behind a rather large insect. E. Multiple Step. (1) Locate 6 items using a magic eyepiece. (2) locate 5 runes. (3) list of items which uncovers keys to open a chest. F. Storybook sequence. (1) Items listed in BOLD letters. (2) Silhouette items (3) List of items. Very interactive G. Mini-HOP scene. Locate photograph pieces to place back into a group photo. H. Silhouette items. Look for animals within the scene. I. Matching scene. Match up symbols on a palm with those on a door. J. Matching scene. Match up liquid magma molecules.
PUZZLES: Puzzle Rating: (1) Extremely easy 2) Easy (3) A little difficult or time consuming (4) Moderately difficult (5) Difficult A. Manual dexterity puzzle. Kick 15 big-eyed weeds out of the way to cross a frozen pond. Rating: 1 B. Storybook/replacement puzzle. Place items into their correct position in a dollhouse. Very interactive. Rating: 1 C. Multiple step puzzle. Three puzzles (1) Pipe puzzle. Rotate squares to connect a series of lines in one complete unit. (2) Gear puzzle. Place gears into the proper locations. (3) Mirror puzzle. Position three mirror so light is directed to a light bulb. Rating: 2 for all puzzles. D. Simon Says puzzle. Repeat a ritual dance. Rating: 2 E. Manual dexterity puzzle. Bulls-eye! Hit the eyes while they are shut to clear out a vine. Rating: 1
ENJOY A “MONUMENTAL” VACATION ON EASTER ISLAND IN AN AWARD-WINNING GAME

fromAfter being featured in this game, the golems have a future in the entertainment industry. They can amaze the tourists at Easter Island with their earth-shaking Polynesian fire dance routine.
7 CHAPTERS PLUS A BONUS CHAPTER - REVIEW IS BASED ON THE DEMO
OVERVIEW: In appreciation of your last case in saving the world, MI6 has given you an all-expense paid trip to Easter Island in this outstanding 5-star plus game. However, we all know that anywhere you go in the gaming world – you, as a detective, are a magnet for trouble. This time enjoy your time on an island fighting an army of fiery golems. What a fabulous sci-fi adventure full of creativity and innovation! I LOVE this game! Again, master game producer, Domini has gone the extra mile to produce another masterpiece! There are 18 puzzles and 9 HOP scenes just in the demo! Most of the puzzles have the option between easy and hard settings and some of the HOP scenes have mini-puzzles within them as well!
This is a long game! I found playing the demo of the game comparable to the size of some of the CE games on this site. This game has everything: an adventurous sci-fi story, a multitude of activities, four collectibles, creatively designed puzzles and HOP scenes, and a Garden Room in which you purchase items using collected fractal flowers. The graphics are cartoon-like adding a comic book flavor to this game. With the creative genius exhibited in this “monstrous” game full of activities and surprises - this a game you won’t want to miss. With the craftsmanship involved in creating this game, it is a steal at the game club price.
HOP SCENES: Just amazing! There is quite a variety of them and most contain some type of mini-puzzle within them. There is a wondrous new type of HOP scene I have not seen before. In two of the HOP scenes you assemble items by locating parts to complete those items from assembly diagrams, namely a remote control helicopter and an anti-spy device. Other scenes from the demo include lists of items, a couple of mini-HOP scenes, silhouette and a storybook sequence to tell the story of the seekers. You have the option to play a Match-3 game instead. But why would you? The HOP scenes are so nicely done they are sheer pleasure to play.
PUZZLES: Again amazing! There are SO many puzzles in this game. There is a kitchen-sink variety of puzzles. There are some new puzzles in this game as well. Instead of listing all the puzzles – I will just outline those I personally enjoyed. One of the puzzles I enjoyed was a maze-manual dexterity puzzle in which you must traverse a path through the island while avoiding being zapped by the beams of light emanating from the eyes of golems. I also enjoyed a variation of “Twenty Questions” in this game. You better stay alert while playing this game because you will need to answer questions about the characters in the game. I always love the slat puzzles to restore pictures in the Domini Games. There are two in the demo and they are slightly different from each other.
EXTRAS: 4 Levels of play – Hints and Skips: 15 to 90 seconds Map is provided as you play the game 36 Achievements Collect 22 artifacts, 20 morphing objects, 22 statuettes, and 63 fractal flowers Replay 18 HOP Scenes and 30 Puzzles Strategy guide - 69 pages 20 Wallpapers, 20 Concept Art, Music, Video Garden House in which you purchase items with the Fractal Flowers

OVERVIEW: Welcome to the Cambshire Estate, a relic from the past presented in this relic of a 3-star game. When your fiancé does not return from a lucrative assignment at this estate, you are off to find out what happened to him. You will have a “devil of a time” trying to find him in this crumbling estate. Ghosts of the past will haunt you as you traverse its grounds. With an amulet in hand, you will fight demons in locating your true love. Along the way discover the tragic love story of the original owner of the manor, what he did for love, and the dire consequences of his actions. Enter a world of horror and destruction as you search for your beloved while closing the gates to the underworld.
A BLAST FROM THE PAST: Have I returned to the first decade of this century, circa 2000? This is an old-school adventure game reminiscent of adventure games produced during this period. Since this is an adventure game, there are NO HOP SCENES! The graphics are dark giving a ghostly, spooky ambiance to the game. However, some scenes are blurry. The pace is rather snail-paced. There are few activities. You spend most of your time meandering around this decrepit estate searching for inventory items and then interacting with them within the scenes of the game. Along the way, you will play an occasional puzzle. You get a gimmicky amulet and must locate 9 pieces for it before you can finally defeat the evildoer in this game. There are very few puzzles in the game. There are five (5) segments of the game each ending with overcoming a “wall” of evil in your way. The maneuverability of the game is “clunky,” and I found it difficult to manipulate the inventory items.
MANEUVERING THIS GAME: Since most players on this site are accustomed to the controls being located at the bottom of the screen of the game, this is not the case with this game. To access the hint, skip, menu, and map icons, press the skull at the left side of the screen which shows you those buttons at the top of the screen.
SKULL – Press the skull at the lower left corner to get the navigation tools LEVELS: Choice between Casual and Advanced MAP: You receive the map at the beginning of the game STRATEGY GUIDE: None SKIPS AND HINTS: No time indicated.
PUZZLES: There are only ten (10) puzzles in the entire game and all are poorly done. They are all variations of standard puzzles seen in many other games. None are difficult. There is also no guide to assist you in playing this game. The puzzles include an old- style maze puzzle to move a token from one side to another removing all obstacles in its path; an old-style rope puzzle in which you untangle a rope, a switch puzzle and sliding tiles puzzle to recreate some pictures, and a couple of matching puzzles. My favorite was a logic puzzle in which you must place blocks in rows and columns so that no two are the same in any row or column.
HERE ARE THE DETAILS (SPOILERS) FOR THOSE WANT MORE INFORMATION ON THE PUZZLES: ALL ARE EASY. THESE ARE THE ONLY PUZZLES IN THE ENTIRE GAME! A. Maze puzzle. Move a tile from left to right removing obstacles in its path. B. Matching puzzle. Place clock hands in place as to shadowy imprints on the clock. C. Sequence puzzle. Move bat wings in correct sequence. D. Switch puzzle. Switch tiles to create a picture. E. Sequence puzzle. Press symbols in sequence. F. Sliding tiles puzzle. Slide tiles back into position to recreate a picture. G. Rope puzzle. Untangle ropes so they do not cross each other. H. Matching puzzle. Move symbols so that they match up with those surrounding the statues. I. Matching puzzle. Match up pictures to remove them. J. Logic puzzle. Place blocks into a grid with four shapes so that no two shapes are the same I any row or column.
OVERVIEW: There is no “honour” among thieves! Return to 1897, Victorian England in this well-crafted 5-star plus game. When a valuable meteorite is stolen, you, as neophyte Agent Hawkes, are again on the case with Phileas Fogg. The Red Queen is back with her group of henchmen including a pickpocket and Alice from Wonderland fame.
What a breath of fresh air for EIPIX! The game illustrates a return to the brilliance and creativity of this developer. It has everything for me – a superb storyline, excellent and creative HOP scenes, and some innovative and somewhat challenging puzzles! This is a game which will probably appeal more to the intermediate or experienced gamer. However, even for the beginner player, this would be a great game even if you must skip a puzzle or two along the way. The graphics well-depict the Victorian Age and the pace is excellent! There is a new type of HOP scene after the demo which I LOVED playing! The game is well worth the price and I purchased it immediately!
PUZZLES: The puzzles are exceptional. There is a good range of difficulty. However, I think some gamers on the BFG site will find some of the puzzles a little too challenging. I found two which I enjoyed. One involves connecting lines on a cryptex. The three puzzles in this mini-game increase in difficulty which allows those who like easy puzzles to still play the first of three instances of this puzzle. The other puzzle I enjoyed involves creating an energy path through a generator using gold conductors. Such a great puzzle! This is a difficult puzzle (unless I am losing my touch in solving these quickly!)
However, EIPIX has also provided some relatively easy puzzles as well. There is one puzzle which I have not seen in a HOP game, although I have seen this puzzle in adventure games. It requires the player to spot the similarities between two different scenes. Similar items are well-hidden within the scenes. This is not a difficult puzzle; however, it does take some time.
LEVELS: Trainee, Inspector, Chief, Custom Hints: 10 to 120 Seconds Skips: 10 to 400 seconds
EXTRAS: Map is provided as you play the game 18 Achievements - Some have 3 parts Collect 41 Lightning bolts which practically jump out at you! 15 Morphing objects in the HOP scenes Strategy guide - 48 pages Replay 15 HOP scenes and 20 Puzzles 9 Wallpapers, 9 Pictures, 9 Concept Art, Music, Souvenirs, Video sequence
HERE ARE THE DETAILS (SPOILERS) FOR THOSE WANT MORE INFORMATION ON THE HOP SCENES AND PUZZLES IN SEQUENCE
HOP SCENES: A. Storybook. Locate several items (4 of each item) listed in BOLD letters all while getting some information on the case. B. Silhouette. C. Rebus clues. D. List of items. Locate several items associated with 3 emotions. Quite clever and unique . PUZZLES: Puzzle Rating: (1) Extremely easy 2) Easy (3) A little difficult or time consuming (4) Moderately difficult (5) Difficult A. Multiple-step. (1) Spot-the-Difference. Spot the differences between the four queens in a deck of cards. (2) Matching. Match up cards. Rating: 1 B. Multiple step. Fight for your life! (1) Simon Says. On a cryptex, connect all the lines so they create a smooth pathway across the cryptex. 3X. Increases in difficulty. D. Spot the Similarities. I have not seen this in a HOP game. Locate similar items between two dissimilar scenes. Rating: 2 E. Maze puzzle. Moving gold bars, create a path of energy between conductors from one end of a generator to the other. Rating: 4 F. Sequence puzzle. Move the fingers of a hand in a precise order to remove an item it is holding. Moving one finger affects the others. Rating: 2
A BLOOD MOON UNMASKS A WONDERFUL TRANSFORMATION IN DUPIN AND THIS SERIES

from“Nevermore” will I have to come up with an idea for the New Year’s Eve masquerade ball. The White Crow costume is perfect. It should “Caw”se quite a sensation among the “Old Crows” at the party
7 CHAPTERS PLUS A BONUS CHAPTER - REVIEW BASED ON THE DEMO
OVERVIEW: Citizens of Coldstone! Celebrate the Day of the Raven by engaging in a game of mystery and intrigue in another ERS 5-star plus spellbinder! Who killed noted archaeologist Alan Dillinger and why? Get your crow mask out of storage and join the local citizens in a night of murder and mayhem under a blood moon. Dupin is back on the case with you as his assistant. Even Dupin even sees a transformation under this blood moon from a foppish detective to a sexy and ultra-masculine hunk! A secret society, The Raven Society, is behind all the murders and intrigue in the game. But, what are they up to? Get prepared to watch all fireworks exploding in this action-packed game.
This game demonstrates ERS at their best – beautiful old-style graphics combined with a horror-lite tale. In my opinion, horror-lite is their best genre for games. Although somewhat graphic, this game is not terribly scary. The graphics are “bloody” good and well-portray the gaming script for this game. This is a puzzle-intense game which is just “purr-fect” for me with the inclusion of a few alley cats! This is my favorite combo – horror combined with puzzles. This game is a virtual puzzle-fest with few HOP scenes. With a wonderful gaming script and plenty of activities, this game has an excellent pace. There is only one collectible – little devils. However, you do get to replay the puzzles and HOP scenes and there are quite a few achievements.
HOP SCENES: There are only two (2) in the beta. However, they are creative. In one of the scenes, you locate three each of four items carefully hidden within the scenes
PUZZLES: This game has the option for Casual and Hard settings on some of the puzzles. They are well-crafted and even the “hard” settings not terribly difficult to solve. They include quite a few matching puzzles, one of which involves cards. There are a couple of excellent maze puzzles. In one of these puzzles you must get a scarab to the finish line while avoiding obstacles in its path and in the other you must do the same with a raven. There are also a couple of sequence puzzles, one of which involves ringing bells in order.
I loved a matching puzzle in which you must “remove” hoods to match up masks. There is one difficult mathematical puzzle in which symbols have been replaced by symbols. You must uncover the number for each symbol and then solve some equations to come up with the code to open a lock
LEVELS: Casual, Advanced, Hard, Custom Hints and Skips: 5 to 200 seconds
EXTRAS: Map is given to you at the start of the game 49 Achievements Collect 12 little devils Replay 29 Puzzles and 20 HOP scenes 11 Wallpapers, 11 Concept Art, 6 Screensavers, Music, 23 Movie segments Strategy Guide: 50 Pages
HERE ARE THE DETAILS (SPOILERS) FOR THOSE WANT MORE INFORMATION ON THE HOP SCENES AND PUZZLES IN SEQUENCE
HOP SCENES: A. List of items B. Locate 3 each of 4 different items. Very creatively designed.
PUZZLES: Puzzle Rating: (1) Extremely easy 2) Easy (3) A little difficult or time consuming (4) Moderately difficult (5) Difficult A. Sequence/Matching puzzle. Ring bells in the correct sequence by matching them up with a given code. Choice between Casual and Hard. B. Maze puzzle. Get a scarab to the finish line overcoming enemies in his path. You will also need to open doors with specific colored keys to proceed. Choice between Casual and Hard. C. Manual dexterity puzzle. In a group of cards follow the movement of a green card 3 times to defeat a criminal. Rating: 2 D. Matching puzzle. Match up two halves for 12 cards. Rating: 3 E. Sequence puzzle. Press 6 buttons in the proper order to open a box. Rating: 1 F. Matching puzzle. Place buttons with images upon them into one of four columns according to relationship within the column. All buttons must relate in some way. Rating: 3 G. Mathematical puzzle. Decrypt a code and find out the numbers which have been replaced by symbols to solve some equations. Then enter those numbers on a lock to open a safe. Rating: 3 H. Logic puzzle. Figure out the last number dialed on a telephone by logically eliminating numbers. I. Maze puzzle. Move a raven through a maze while avoiding obstacles in your path. Rating: 2 J. Matching puzzle. Find people in matching masks. Quite creative. Rating: 2
OVERVIEW: Get a grasp – on reality that is! Enjoy a 5-star ghost story set in the Baker Hotel in which you, as a ghost, endeavor to save your kidnapped son and find out why you were killed. Search for the motives of the secret cult, Sons of Dusk, at the center of this mystery. Discover the history of your own family, the Barlows, and their relationship to this cult. I do like the gameplay from the demo. The graphics are dark with scenes presented in black-and-white imagery. The lack of color provides a ghostly feel to the game. The pace is excellent with an excellent array of activities and an engaging story. The game should appeal to all levels of gamers; however, some of those who are expert gamers will probably be disappointed by the array of easy puzzles.
HOP SCENES: The demo includes the usual HOP scenes including a list of items, a silhouette scene, a matching scene and a storybook scene to give background information for the story. The storybook scene in the demo is beautifully done on a metallic etching.
PUZZLES: The puzzles are easy. There are two which are played to provide you energy to perform activities in your ghostly state. In one you collect energy orbs with your hand. This seemed more of a HOP scene to me. The other is a thematic modified rope puzzle. The rest of the puzzles are the usual sliding tiles puzzles to move items into position, matching puzzles for which you are given a written code to solve the puzzle, and an assembly puzzle to create an explosive. There is also a manual dexterity puzzle to hit the red zone on a bar. My favorite puzzle is a modified rope puzzle in which you must untangle rods instead of a rope. Very creatively done and the only puzzle I felt was even slightly difficult.
SHOULD I PLAY OR STAY AWAY: If you like easy games with an engaging story, you may like this game. This game is a well-constructed with a good pace. The puzzles and HOP scenes are standard fare with little evidence of innovation or creativity. Still, with an excellent gaming script, it is one to play if only to discover the mystery behind the feuding families and the secret cult. I will purchase this game as an SE. I am too much in the Christmas mood to play a dark, ghostly adventure this weekend.
LEVELS: Casual, Advanced, Hardcore, Custom Hints and Skips: 15 to 90 seconds
EXTRAS: Map is provided as you play the game 19 Achievements (From what I could ascertain) Collect 20 Jewels Collect 12 portraits 20 Morphing objects: Replay 13 Puzzles and 16 HOP scenes 10 Wallpapers, 10 Concept Art, Music, Screensaver, Secret Room
HERE ARE THE DETAILS (SPOILERS) FOR THOSE WANT MORE INFORMATION ON THE HOP SCENES AND MINI-PUZZLES
HOP SCENES: A. Silhouette B. Matching. Match up pairs C. Storybook sequence. Excellent use of scene background. Locate items listed in BOLD letters on a metallic etching. D. List of items
PUZZLES: A. Collection puzzle. Using your hand, collect energy orbs to restore your energy. More of a HOP scene. Rating: 1 B. Manual Dexterity puzzle. Stop a red ball moving right and left until the slider hits the red zone. 3X. the red section gets smaller with each trial. Rating: 1 C. Sliding tiles puzzle. Slide colored tokens into their proper location. Rating: 2 D. Sliding tiles puzzle. Slide two sets of lock parts into their proper slots in the middle of a garage door mechanism. Rating: 2 E. Rope puzzle. Untangle ropes to restore your energy. Rating: 2 F. Lock puzzle. Open a lock by following a code on a piece of paper. Rating: 2 G. Assembly puzzle. Follow written instructions on the preparation of an explosive Rating: 2 H. Matching puzzle. Move the positions of plates up-and-down to match those on a piece of paper. Rating: 2 I. Rope puzzle. Loosely based on a rope puzzle – move rods up-and-down so they do not cross each other. Rating: 3
fromHeading off to mountainous Costa Rica for a little biodiversity, surfing at Jacó Beach, eating gallo pinto, purchasing coffee and buying a shirt from Sam’s new beachwear collection!
OVERVIEW: Agent – You are off to spend your Christmas on the beautiful beaches of Costa Rica in an exciting 5-star adventure! H.E.L.P. is back along with Agent Sam, who is all decked out in some new chic beachwear. Travel to the waters off the coast of Costa Rica to investigate an artifact tied to an ancient underwater civilization, Lost Paradise. Finding this lost civilization lies with locating petrospheres which hold the key to restoring the map to reveal the location of this lost kingdom.
This is a decent adventure game which is perfect for intermediate and expert gamers. However, I do feel beginning players would enjoy it as well by skipping some of the puzzles and just concentrating on the excellent HOP scenes, collectibles, and engaging action-packed story. The story is based on the legend of the petrospheres of the Diquis Delta of Costa Rica. The graphics are phenomenal and provide a bright, sunny, beautifully illustrated tropical environment for those faced with some unpleasant frigid weather. There are an equal number of puzzles and HOP scenes and both are creatively designed. You collect fact cards and lizards.
The only negative I find in the game is the pace. At times, the pace tends to get bogged down throughout the game. There needs to be more activities in this game. However, this game is an improvement for EIPIX from last week’s Myths of the World offering. I like this game; however, I do not LOVE this game. For this reason, I will purchase this game as an SE.
HOP SCENES: They are creatively designed. They include a "locate and replace" scene. There are two multiple-step scenes. In one there is a list of items followed by rebus clues. In the other multiple-step HOP scene there is a list of items followed by silhouette items.
PUZZLES: The best part of this game are the puzzles. They are thematic and creatively designed. However, again, there are not enough of them to keep up the pace in the game. The puzzles are more challenging than in many other of this developer’s games; however, they are not over-challenging. Some of them are scientific in nature. There is a connection puzzle in which you connect a series of energy icons on a grid. There is also a slider puzzle involving molecules and a maze puzzle in which you create a path for 3 tokens.
RUBE-GOLDBERG PUZZLE (Super puzzle). I feel this puzzle is the best part of the demo. The first two puzzles are unique matching puzzles involving hieroglyphs. The third puzzle involves connecting the dots, so to speak.
LEVELS: Easy, Medium, Hard, Custom Hint: 10 to 120 seconds Skips: 10 to 400 seconds
EXTRAS: Map is provided as you play the game 18 Achievements – Some have 3 parts Collect Fact Cards Collect 38 Lizards 12 Morphing objects Replay of 12 HOP scenes and 17 Puzzles 8 Wallpapers, 4 Concept Art, 13 Videos, Music, Souvenir Room

HOP SCENES: A. Locate four pictograms. Then replace within the scene on a diagram. 3X B. Multiple step. (1) List of items to locate (2) Rebus items. C. Multiple step. (1) List of items to locates (2) Silhouette
PUZZLES: Puzzle Rating: (1) Extremely easy 2) Easy (3) A little difficult or time consuming (4) Moderately difficult (5) Difficult A. Connection puzzle. For a series of energy icons on a grid, connect each one to energize a lightning bolt symbol. Rating: 3 B. Slider puzzle. Slide molecules around and place them in their proper location. C. Maze puzzle. Move three tokens from the top of a maze to the bottom by moving obstacles out of the way. Rating: 3 D. Rube Goldberg puzzle. (Super puzzle) (1) Matching puzzle. Using some awesome robotics, choose tiles which share two adjacent hieroglyphs with a middle piece and place it on the middle piece. Rating: 3 (2) Matching puzzle. Place stones on the correct position on a map by longitude and latitude coordinates. Rating: 2 (3) Logic puzzle. Arrange lines on a map so they intersect at a specific spot. Rating: 2
I recommend this game!

MYTHS OF THE WORLD – BOUND BY MORE FILLER THAN THRILLER

fromI am planting a tree and burying this game along with it. Perhaps with the coming spring it will sprout some new growth of ideas for this developer.
OVERVIEW: Apprentice Witch Hunter: With the death of your mentor, and with a magic medallion in hand, you are off to the German town of Belin to fight a Solomonnar (a wizard) in this 3-star game. This evildoer is trying to keep the town from reenacting their annual Earth Day ritual. This is a great game for intermediate and expert players or those ecologists who LOVE Mother Nature and feel Earth Day should be a national holiday. However, this game is NOT me! I found this game very boring. There are few activities in this game and the pace is slow. I think a “snail’s pace” is faster than this game. There are only four HOP scenes and three puzzles in the demo. It seems I spent most of the game just “walking around” the town from building-to-building and room-to-room collecting supplies with an occasional HOP scene or puzzle.
WILL I EVER STRAIGHTEN UP THAT GEAR? As stated, there is a lot of time filler in this game. Straightening a bent gear took approximately one-quarter of the demo. I soon became frustrated ambling back-and-forth through several scenes searching for supplies to build the fire, fixing the bellows, finding the implements – all to fix a bent gear. Before I was finished with this activity, I just wanted to jump in the screen, take a hammer and bend it back myself – anything just to move the game along.
To their credit, the graphics are excellent. The HOP scenes are creative and so are the puzzles; however, there are just not enough of them to keep up a decent pace. I absolutely hated the Medallion puzzles.
WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO EIPIX? This is not the same quality game from the earlier Myths of the World which were action-packed and full of creative puzzles and HOP scenes. They had such wonderful fables from other countries. This game is a far cry from “The Heart of Desolation.” Again, I wonder why, with all the wonderful myths around the world, they prefer to produce the same game from yet another region of Europe, this one being another watered-down version of the werewolf myth. It was difficult for me to write this review because I truly like the people I have come to know through my association with Pond Friends. However, I feel this is poorly constructed game and this developer should take notice.
HOP SCENES: There are only 4 in the entire beta. They include the now-infamous EIPIX HOP scene in which you locate 5 of two items to uncover a list of items to locate. Others include a couple of silhouette scenes and a storybook scene. There is one scene which has both silhouette and a list of items to locate. It is interactive and probably the best part of the game.
PUZZLES: There are only 3 puzzles in the long beta. There are 2 maze puzzles and a switch puzzle. One of the maze puzzles is very creative involving gears and requires you to remove obstacles so a red pin can move through 3 gears. The other maze puzzle has you connecting flowers without retracing your steps. I did not understand the directions for this puzzle. There needs to be a better explanation of HOW to proceed in connecting these flowers. The last puzzle is an easy matching puzzle in which you match up two items to the correct trophies.
MEDALLION PUZZLE: To activate the medallion you play a puzzle in which you must press an empty tile which removes all symbols abutting it. Continue to do this until only one remains. The puzzles increase in difficultly (with more symbols) as you proceed in the game. You will play this puzzle 3 times in each sequence. I absolutely HATED this puzzle! However, this is a personal preference.
LEVELS: Juvenile, Subordinate, Pack Leader, Lone Beast Hint: 10 to 120 seconds Skips: 10 to 400 seconds
EXTRAS: Map is provided as you play the game You get a medallion to ward off evil. You must recharge it from time-to-time 13 Achievements Collect 38 Wolf fangs Replay 18 puzzles, 11 HOP scenes, Skipping stones game 8 Wallpapers, 4 Concept Art, Music, VIdeo

Create a path for a red pin to move through three gears using arrows to remove blocks. The puzzle increases in difficulty. Rating: 2 – 3 B. Connect puzzle. Connect flowers connected by lines without using lines twice. I play many, many, many puzzles and I found the puzzle illogical and the instructions not very well written. Rating: 3 (Simply because I could not understand what they wanted me to do) C. Matching puzzle. Switch between three animal trophies and find and switch parts of the three trophies so that each trophy has the correct items on it. Rating: 2
I don't recommend this game.

fromPlaying this game gave me some ideas for new costumes for my Elf on the Shelf.
6 CHAPTERS PLUS A BONUS CHAPTER - REVIEW BASED ON THE DEMO
Can Christmas be saved? Imagine a world without Santa, gifts, and all the joy of Yuletide. Imagine a world with black-eyed elves! Yikes! Play Tinker, an elf, as you travel to the North Pole to help Santa deal with his evil brother, Varyk in this beautiful 5-star pus game. Santa and Mrs. Claus have been kidnapped and it is up to you to save them.
This is another wonderful Christmas game which can be enjoyed by the whole family. Daily Magic has again provided a little magic with this game. It is a great game to get everyone into the spirit of the season. The graphics are incredibly beautiful - all full of Christmas cheer. There are an equal amount of HOP scenes and puzzles. The HOP scenes are reused but beautifully reflect Christmas. The puzzles are all easy making this a family friendly game. There are morphing objects and you collect puzzle pieces for four jigsaw puzzles to be played at the end of the game. You also collect bulbs to open presents containing figurines of the game characters.
HOP SCENES: The HOP scenes are beautiful and creatively designed. There are two HOP scenes in which you locate seasonal items to open a list of items to locate. There is a storybook scene with items listed in COLORFUL letters. You will learn about Santa and his brother. There are couple of silhouette scenes. These scenes are both creatively designed. In one you use a magnifying glass to locate items and in the other you use a telescope to locate items within a town.
PUZZLES: The puzzles are all easy. Splat! To get you into the spirit – enjoy a puzzle in which you throw snowballs at evil Varyk. Other festive puzzles include a switch puzzle using books. There are three matching puzzles in the demo including a very creative one in which you ride a reindeer through the sky pushing away clouds to locate constellations. There is a rat maze in which you create a path for a mouse and a rope puzzle connect like items without re-crossing lines. There are two storybook sequences in which you maneuver items within the scene to get more information on the story. I loved the puzzle in which you manipulate images to create pictures of the characters. Very creative!
ELVEN MAGIC GAME. Every time you need to remove dark energy, play a variation of a Match-3 game in which you connect three or more like items to remove them. The objective is to remove all items form the screen.
LEVELS: Casual, Advanced, Hard, Custom Hints and Skips: 1 to 100 seconds.
EXTRAS: Map is provided as you play the game 19 Achievements Collect jigsaw pieces to create 4 puzzles Collect bulbs to open 10 presents 40 Morphing objects: Strategy guide - 57 pages 8 Wallpapers, 15 Concept Art, Music, 7 Levels of a Match-3 game

fromAfter this game, Professor Baumgartner is going to publish a new how-to-book “Do-It-Yourself: How to Discover New Chemical Elements in Your Own Home Grown Lab.”
Welcome to a new game – a hybrid of a HOP game minus the hidden object scenes. Another BIG THANK YOU to BFG for another nonogram game! Now what do you call this type of game? The hidden objects are replaced with mosaics (AKA nonograms). I LOVE THIS 5-STAR PLUS GAME! That “plus” is for the inventive creative genius in creating a new type of game. Instead of searching for objects in a scene, play a mosaic (nonogram) puzzle to get an inventory item to help you investigate a house. Most nonogram games consist of one nonogram puzzle after the other. However, this one incorporates a story.
There are no difficulty levels for the nonograms and the ones I played I felt were easy. There are also other puzzles as well. The puzzles I played are easy as well. Included are logic puzzles, switch puzzles, matching puzzles, and sequence puzzles to name a few. I found the nonogram puzzles well-done. The colors are vivid; however, I must admit I found a couple in the demo which looked more like blobs instead of the items depicted. There is sound; however, there are no voice overs.
STORY: You play a nameless assistant to Professor Baumgartner. He has just discovered a new element, “arcanesium” - home-grown right in his own personal lab. He sends you a message that he has left for an urgent conference. He has asked you to break into this house and into his lab to get this new prototype. However, something is amiss here. He left in a hurry with specific instructions for you. However, you are rather surprised because he did not mention he was slated to attend a conference. Furthermore, why has he asked you to not to contact him? Is the professor in danger? Now you are off to explore his house and locate that new chemical element!
NONOGRAM FACTS:
• Colors: Each puzzle I played has 3 colored screens which can be switched at any time while playing the puzzle. (However, I wished they used another color besides “gray” which is difficult to perceive. • There is only one difficulty level. • Autofill: There is autofill so you do not have to fill in the unused boxes. However, you can use your mouse to right click “X’s” for unused spaces. • Hint: You receive 3 hints if needed. • Lives: You are allowed 6 mistakes, which are called lives. After that, you must restart the game. • There are over 100 puzzles • After completing a puzzle, you receive an inventory item to use in the game. • This game has mini-games within it. The ones I played were easy.
