This story is supposed to appeal to the artist in us. An artist has found a way to make his paintings come to life. Your mission is to create paintings of your own to cancel his out.
It's okay until you get to the part when you meet the artist. The story goes wonky then. Why would i do the bidding of a madman? then the story ends very abruptly. And they don't even thank me. How rude is that?
I recommend this game!

These are the people who brought you the Drawn series, which I loved. The design, music, colors are very recognizable. That's fine, but I noticed a couple of elements that seemed to be borrowed directly from the Drawn design boards. Why design new scenery when you can just reuse what you've got?
There seemed to be less energy and thought put into this story line. It seemed to be "phoned in" as they say. The end of the story seemed abrupt; and some elements confused me. They seemed to come out of nowhere.
Still, it was fun to play.
I recommend this game!

Upon playing the trial I thought this was going to be a goofy game and I wasn't impressed. But after reading some of the reviews I decided to buy it. I was glad I did. There are still some silly parts but They become sparse as the game goes on. The silliness is supposed to be from paranormal activity. As I said, it started out to be more fun-house than paranormal.
I've played creepier, spookier, grosser games, but this was an okay experience for the most part.
The anachronisms were hilarious as usual. Things in rooms are a mixture of items from different time periods and parts of the world. That always cracks me up.
The music is from other games but I like that about these games. It's okay that the sound track is familiar and recognizable.
The mini games were interesting and different. Even the alternative match-three games were not what I expected.
The only thing that was really gross was the villain. Yuk.
I recommend this game!

This is a nice game if you like bright fairy tale colors, light fairy tale music and a fairy tale theme. In other words, it was a little young for me. It was amusing.
I could see this story line in a much darker setting. People turning into wood? Creepy good.
You are given two companions which sit there waiting for you to need them. There aren't a lot of uses for them so they will sit there most of the time. I found that rather annoying: especially since one of the companions insisted on attracting my attention every few minutes.
I would love for these games to let you replay the end movie.
Anyway; it was cute.
I recommend this game!

This game starts out with a family who had a sick daughter. The child dies and the parents set out to find a new body for the daughter's soul to inhabit. As a result your daughter is taken. You have to find and rescue her.
If you are looking for fog, don't bother. The fog has long gone. You are there to deal with the aftermath.
From there the story gets a bit obscure, and the elements are arbitrary. You wander through abandoned buildings and kind of forget what you are there for. At least I did. Somehow there is a link between a sick child and her family, missing children, a fog, the military, and several other elements that don't match.
There was a ghost that you did not interact with, some photos of suspects or victims; I forget which, and lots of blood. There was also a puzzle box that seemed to have no reason for being there except to add more puzzles to the game. I didn't feel I was drawing to any conclusion. I just had to solve one puzzle after another.
There were also two places that seemed to call for an action; but no action was available. That was annoying. The map was the worst. It was like a really bad GPS. It was not very accurate in telling me where I was. The journal was not that great either.
Having said all that negative stuff, I liked the game. It was mediocre, but I've seen far worse.
I recommend this game!

This one had excellent graphics. They were dark and spooky and the rotting old house was very convincing. The creep-o-meter was off the scale.
I had a problem however with the tiny text.
Other than that, I loved this game.
I recommend this game!

This game is/was on sale but I didn't even want it then. The graphics are simple so maybe it's for younger players. But the puzzles were confusing. I would see things that were obvious to click on but nothing would happen. I had to click on one object to get clues to click on other objects. I also had to figure out that clicking on the hint button only worked sometimes. Other times i had to click on the object i wanted to find to get the hint as to where it was. It got really boring and tedious in a very short time.
I don't recommend this game.

If you are used to the heart pounding sound effects and seizure causing visuals of the Bejeweled series you will be stunned by the serenity of this game.
It's a perfect game to wind down with at the end of the day. The bright little jewels sparkle and spin as you go through the levels. The colors in the background are dark and calming but not dull and boring.
You are rewarded by earning enough points to build a beautiful white castle. You also earn bonus games of Mahjong. You can choose to be timed, which I never like, or you can be given a set number of moves to complete each level.
You are given the expected hammers, bombs, rockets, stone blocks and frozen tiles that you have to smash through. For the most part this is done in a sophisticated, grown up way.
I loved building the castle but the mahjong didn't grab my attention too much. I kept wanting to go back and play another level of Jewel Match 2.
It's literally a beautiful game and for me was meditative. If you like guzzling beer out of the can, play the other match three jewel games. If you like sipping an aperitif play this game.
I recommend this game!

I love the graphics in this game. Colorful but not childish or cartoony. I bought it even before the trial was up.
Only two things really bothered me. The little girl has freaky blue eyes that made her look possessed even when she was supposed to be normal. The monologue was very annoying. I don't need to be read to.
Other than that, I am enjoying this one.
I recommend this game!

I'm glad a lot of people liked this game. It wasn't so for me. Maybe I just don't like these kinds of games. Somehow I couldn't figure out how to feed my workers, even though I kept sending them to gather mushrooms and berries.
I got very bored very quickly and exited the game.
I don't recommend this game.
