based on completed game - I bought this years ago & never finished it. I decided to give this another go ...glad I did. It starts off boring with heaps of backtracking. Later (much much later) you do get an interactive map. Hang in there as the story gets better after a wee while.
HOS not junk pile, mini games are new which is refreshing but IMO way too easy. There is a skip button but you might not even need it. The hardest mini game was the last one with no skip button. I almost gave up but with a little patience & logic cracked it.
Over 200 diamonds and coal to collect. You need this to pay for purchases at store for stuff you will need for new task. It is fun to collect stuff but bit over the top on this. The coal Converter was fun to start with but after 30pcs you hoped there was a faster way to do it....imagine converting 200pcs. Too repetitive.
yOur Sidekick is amusing with his antics and one liners!! He will surely make you laugh or put a smile on your face as you play. And finish that game with Otto you get 20 more diamonds for winning.
One of the best VOs i love the British accent Eliza =) I usually turn off the sound when playing but had this on full volume all the way to the end. Do listen to the conversations for clues.
This game is too easy for seasoned HOPA players yet surprisingly I really enjoyed this one ....what a refreshing break from the dark creepy games I have too many of.
The residents of Bitterford, Maine have fallen prey to a terrible curse. It’s up to you to unravel the series of mysterious events that led to the town’s downfall and uncover the evil that was responsible.
I have all the MCF games and enjoyed them all. And like most Fishies I always look forward to the next one.
I was excited to try this one BUT 15mins into the game my heart sank. It was so terrible I could not even force myself to finish the demo. What a shame! Thanks for all the reviews it saved me from wasting my money on this one.
straight forward HOS one after another. Nice bright places nothing gloomy or creepy. In between HOS you have mini puzzles which are relatively easy. The hard bit on this one is looking for the numbers. Some objects are well hidden. Recommend this one for beginners or children who love HOS. For well seasoned HO players this is too easy.
Most of my games are HOs but this one is challenging even for me. Heaps *and I mean heaps* of objects all over the place. Most are on top of each other so it's quite tricky to spot them. Those gold acorns or nuggets are so well hidden...well done! If you like HOS try this challenge!
Lots of colours and bright happy scenes which is a nice break from the dark HO games. And yes as the others mentioned the music gets you in a cheerful happy mood.
You get HOS, mini games and puzzles which makes you think - so lots of variety in one game. Yes I recommend this game but it's not for the little ones they will struggle with this. Or chill out and sit beside the younger children; enjoy the game with them.
The puzzles are way too easy and yet clues were all over the place- hand holding at its finest. An example: put together six torn pieces of paper (very simple right) yet there was an "outline" of which piece goes where. I am pretty sure no one would need help on this simple task.
Another example: a code was needed to open a safe. Yup I easily got the code so off to the safe I went. Not much of a brain needed on this one. And yet AGAIN there was a clue on how to "turn" the numbers. I felt like there was a "nagging coach" behind me saying "do this do that" every step I make.
Even a child can figure out the puzzles so the "solutions" need not be thrown in our face. Why bother creating a game if you also wanted to play it for us?
All Devs pay attention please....allow us the pleasure and enjoyment of figuring out what to do next. If anyone needs help they can easily go to the blog or Walk Throughs or SG thank you!
Graphics good and cartoony characters are funny. This one has fragmented objects to find which I dislike. I'd rather be given a word or phrase and look for an object that way. I hate looking for a silhouette or a wee bit of something only to put it altogether anyway.
And it is way too easy perhaps better for beginners. But having said that give it a go. You might enjoy it.
Thanks fishies for the reviews I gave this one a go. For quite some time I have been looking for HOPA with difficult puzzles..and here it is! Not too many HOS heaps and heaps of puzzles woohoo!!! Not a lot of hand holding which is awesome. For a change it's nice to figure out what to do instead of being guided or worse being told what to do next. So kudos to the devs for taking our feedbacks on board.
If there was a map I would have given it 5-stars. Hopefully other devs follow suit & give us more challenging puzzles. The story and voiceover was good. I must admit I ended up looking forward to the next challenge than focusing on the story.
If you like figuring things out for yourself and enjoy a great challenge this game is for you. If you like HO more than puzzles you might not like this. But give it a go,
Bit disappointed on this one. IMO the orphanage was better. Game was too slow paced for me. Not sure if it's the game or cos we've had lots of great games lately. I played for 30mins to see if it might get better- nah! It was painfully boring I can't even finish the demo. Not for me but give it a go.
I don't recommend this game.

Bejeweled 3
Escape to the biggest, brightest Bejeweled ever! Discover all-new ways to play the world's #1 puzzle game!
What an awesome improvement from the 1st and 2nd series. Four play modes: Classic, Zen, Quest, and Lightning.
We get badges or achievements which is great. I think all fishies love achievements/ awards in a game.
For those who are experienced with the original and 2nd one, I recommend playing the lightning and quest mode.
MUST TRY the bonus modes. When you unlock the "butterfly" and "ice storm" modes I strongly recommend you PLAY them - this is where the fun part is! These bonus modes adds a new twist and difficulty to the game. Forget the Classic Bejewelled...the bonus modes steals the show!
The Ice Storm was heaps of fun and is an extreme challenge and I mean that in a fun way. The jewels get encased in ice and you need to keep making matches before the ice freezes all the way to the top. And it goes to the top unbelievably fast. I still managed to beat the top score - got the adrenalin pumping for sure.
The Butterfly mode is a cute one. Certain jewels turn to butterflies but you need to keep making matches as the butterflies "fly" up a level. The challenge is to stop it from getting to the top or the spider catches it.
The Zen mode is so cool. So many options to choose from - music, mantras, background sound (forest, waves, rain, etc) Gosh too spoilt for choice. The Devs really threw all the extras in here for a Zen mode - well done! You also get the breathing meter which helps you to relax as you play. (which I needed after playing "ice storm" mode) A white line goes up and down and you follow it to inhale/exhale. It was cleverly done and not intrusive at all. It really slowed down my heartbeat from that adrenalin rush. On top of that there's the mantras (short messages) you choose from prosperity, self confidence, loss weight, etc.
Great background and the way you swing from left to right when choosing options. From the word go you could see the hard work that was put into this one. Well planned and thought of...great masterpiece! Did I mention that the scores are graphed? How cool is that?
Totally recommend this all time favourite game - this one deserves 10 stars!
Your site is way too good for a game like this. It does not even deserve one star. IMO this game should not have been given the right to be on your site.....what an insult to all the great devs who work really hard to give us awesome games!
The instructions drop so fast without even giving us a chance to read it. What a silly game what's the point of chopping fish after fish after fish?? Took 2mins and I deleted it. Thanks but no thanks! This is a waste of space in my hard drive so off it goes where it rightfully belong - the Rubbish Bin.
