I wanted to like this game, the pictures of the graphics, and the little I played made me want to play more, but so many of the items, the game instructions, so much of everything was very small, that I had to strain my eyes and use my magnifying glass almost constantly.
I am disappointed, it seemed a nicely done game and story, the other reviews were pretty good, but I am glad, I decided to play the demo before buying it even on sale.
Hopefully the developers have done some better games since, they first released this one. As the other reviews said, a better game for younger, less challenged eye sight.
I don't recommend this game.

I really dislike writing bad reviews for any game, but the two glowing reviews already written should be balanced out.
Worst point as far as I am concerned? It is a timed game where you cannot turn the timer off.....and it is set so that if you do not complete all the stages of a level before the time is up, it puts you right back to the beginning. I was almost through the fifth stage when it put me back to the start.
The objects are small and for those with limited sight, hard to find. Not quite junk piles, but not with much rhyme or reason to where items are put or whether they fit the story.
This game has no walkthroughs to help you...anywhere; and I searched quite a bit.
uh-uh.....aside from fans of the series...I cannot recommend this game. Save your money, even if it is on sale.
I don't recommend this game.

Leaves a lot to be desired and a Walkthrough would make up for a lot.

I read a lot of reviews panning Pride & Prejudice the Game, and while I disagree with most, I do find some things that the game developers should correct.
I have played the game twice now, without finding all the notelets or the pieces of Elizabeth’s diary…..and I both looked carefully with a magnifying glass and did a lot of random clicking. I think it would be a kindness of them to give us a walkthrough pointing out where all the items might be found.
Second was that the games were inconsistent in the offering of a skip. The piano game gets quite frustrating the last time around and I think an update needs to be put in place that gives every game a skip.
Many folks complained about the amount of reading….and the slowness of gameplay, but I found that was not out of place with the nature of Pride and Prejudice itself.
The game design itself is very inconsistent between the style of illustrations for the dialog scenes which is almost amateurish in style when compared to the detail of the other scenes in which we look for objects. This didn’t bother me as much as it did some folks, but would be made up for be the update and a walkthrough.
This is definitely not a game for players who want speed and it is not very long to play either.
Fans of Pride and Prejudice should play the demo fully...and get out of their heads all the characters that have graced the various films, but as a fan of all, I personally found nothing hugely objectionable.....except for the lack of a Walkthrough.
I recommend this game!

I just finished playing Christmas Tales: Fellina's Journey and want to let folks know I think it is a little gem for either children or for those with a strong wonder-filled inner child.
I saw quite a few reviews unhappy with the length of the game and with other issues, and I agree it is short….but I think, ever so sweet. If you do not feel a short, relatively easy game for your kids is worth $6.99, pick it up on sale or use one of your free game coupons as I did.
As to the other issues, well……caveat emptor….play the free demo since there is one.
I thought the game design was charming and unusual….and I loved listening to the selections of music…..some of which was from the Nutcracker Ballet.
This is not a game for everybody, and there are some puzzles kids might need help on, but it is different from the crowd and I applaud it for the difference.
I recommend this game!

I will preface my review by saying I almost did not buy this Collector's Edition. So many of the reviews for it and for the SE were so poor that I thought I would wait and see whether there was a fifth in the series.
I changed my mind, bought the CE anyway and I found it worth what I spent. The bonus game and bonus features were all I could ask for.
The art work and music are as good as on the first three games. The puzzles? I found many harder, which is not a bad thing. I had no idea I was supposed to be looking out for hidden items. I will not say what; how many etc because spoilers aren't fair.....but I am going to play again and see if I can win the achievements, mostly because the game is worth playing a second, third or fourth time.
For those who are children or those who are children at heart the Drawn series is a MUST, even if that is only my opinion.
I recommend this game!

This was a very unique game. One I took my time with and savored. Good graphics and seeing each scene change from ruin to glory was wonderful, though I did not always enjoy the glare used in some of the hogs, and I disliked the blurring shift from past to present and back. Still most of the game was worth putting up with that.
The story itself leads you through each game step deftly, pulling you along to find each new room, each new answer. No brother or lost person in jeopardy, but an air of mystery about what happened here, and can we set anything to right ever?
I saw a review that thought this game was too short for a CE. I humbly disagree....no good game is ever long enough though...just as no good book is.
I look forward very much to the sequel and hope that wait won't be long.
I recommend this game!

I just completed White Haven Mysteries after having to start over three times do to technical glitches that were only in part from the company needing to patch the game.
It was well worth starting over until I could get to the finish! This has a great story line....and the story has a twist ending that took me completely by surprise.
The game was enticingly spooky...creepy even, and the Hogs and puzzles were a might challenging, and with good variety. I find myself wishing I had bought the CE and if it shows up on sale sometime may indeed purchase that version.
The whole package, music, animation....games, voice-overs, will have me looking for more games by this company.
I recommend this game!

I bought this game, even though there was no demo offered. I bought it because some folks said it was one of the best adventure games ever played.
I will never know because it looks awful and just trying to navigate the scenes makes me get vertigo.
This may be the worlds greatest game to many, but if I had been given a chance to demo it, I never would have wasted my time or money.
I don't recommend this game.

I purchased this game on the basis of the story line, but....
There are posts about a technical issue that are almost a year old....perhaps older, I write my revue in March of 2012, and the technical issue posts are dated May and June though without a year.
This game still kills the system pointer and the only way to get it back is to bring up another screen or power off.
On top of that, though there are many variations on HOGs they are all of the scattered junk variety, hard to see even with a magnifying glass.
The story line looked interesting but going through the story scenes has been slow and little new is said in any of them.
There may be some that like this game, but if you are vision challenged you may want to skip this unless you use the hints, which seem to be generously offered.
I can't even recommend this game on the variety of the puzzles.
I bought this game as either a DD or a Treasure Chest deal......and wish I hadn't.
I don't recommend this game.

First off, what I really loved about the game other than the slightly tongue in cheek commentary and the good graphics were the storyline and the double ending! The story actually asks you to make the moral choice as to whom to believe and reward!
Yup....a bonafide double ending that means you have to play the game twice to get each ending. I played the first time on casual, second on expert, which made playing the game twice more worthwhile. The mini puzzles of which there are IMHO too few were very easy on the Casual and the HoGs mildly challenging for someone with poor eyesight....but they have a preview of the items on Playing the expert level, the minigames were more fun for me, and I usually play casual, I found the lack of sparkles to be no problem and the HoGs had a lot more objects to look for, with the bonus of almost entirely different items!
Childs game? Maybe, but the tale made it interesting for this adult.....and I enjoyed having a less challenging game experience after playing several tougher ones.
I recommend this game!
