This game was an unexpected treasure to me. I discovered it by chance, purchased it and haven't been sorry one second! Not only hidden object (in this game you have to combine objects with others by association) but also very interesting puzzles Where you really should put on your thinking cap. I've enjoyed this game very much and certainly recommend to play it, even if it's an oldie!
Okay, maybe there's a little bit too much green in this game, but, on the other hand, these kind of colourful looks are common these days in casual games. aren't they, so you won't hear me complaining.
I happen to like puppets very much, and I love little helpers in a game. If puppets aren't your thing, maybe this game isn't for you. But the game itself is excellent.
This is an outstanding game in my opinion. It has an original story, very nice to see something else but witches or dark hooded ghost figures spreading curses. Also, this game has beautiful graphics, really. It's a pleasure to look at every new scene! Compliments, devs, really crystal clear! Last but not least I love the objects you're using. Beautiful and cute dolls, fantastic flowers and lifelike animals. This is a perfect CE, worth every eurocent! Really recommended!
Alas, this wasn't a very good Dark Dimensions. I'd bought it with high hopes since the Dark Dimensions series normally stand for excellent games with a high fun factor. But this one has been a disappointment to play. Some sort of ghost of the ballet theatre is chasing dancers for some unexplained reason and a local doctor is also involved, heaven knows why. Furthermore the recurring minigames with the lamp are very boring. One untangle minigame is tolerable in a game, but not over and over again! No, this Dark Dimensions game wasn't a good one in my opinion. I had the impression it was made in a rush by uninspired developers. Shame. A waste of my money.
Although the playfield doesn't fit my screen,I very much enjoy this game. It has a thrilling storyline, the graphics are realistic and crystal clear and the minigames are nicely challenging. Also I can choose to play mahjong instead of searching for hidden objects, which is a very nice extra.
Oh, I know, this Hidden Object Game might be a little too simple for many experienced players, but I really liked it a lot. It was fun to search for and find objects and to fill them in so a certain object could be used. Besides, the graphics were good and the story interesting enough.
Five stars. Just what I needed at this busy moment in my life!
The opening and act 1 of this game were promising. I found the graphics so-so, but the story intriiguing so I pressed on. But in act 2 the story began to develop illogical. And at the end you saw a cutscene that obviously belonged to a sequel. In the bonus game it never came to that point Also, in the diary near the end of the bonus game, things could be read that hadn't actually been in the game. Confusing.
So, overall this game was a bit of a disappointment to me. Mainly because the story-development was so unpolished.
Finally, the game gave me the impression it originally had been developed as an adventure game, but than the devs decided to make it a HOG and added a number of search scenes (better graphics by the way). Maybe for extra profit?
It's a good thing I've payed half price for this CE, because it was a bit of a disappointment. Not much better than an average standard game.
OK, the music is nice enough if you like jazz and the graphics were good. But the storyline was thin, certailnly so in the bonus game, the pace was too slow and the locations not very interesting. Last but not least, the game was much too short. It was over before I knew it.
The first Cadenza was much better. Mostly because it was new when you looked at the style, the music and the realism of the storyline. I appreciated that one.
This sequel was a miss to me. Pity. I had greater expectations.
It has been a pleasure to play Hidden Mysteries The Forbidden City. The story grabbed me immediately and the search in the Forbidden City was exciting! I had the feeling to walk around in the real Forbidden City en enjoyed the sight of all those rooms, gardens and objects. The music meanwhile fitted perfectly and I didn't feel the urge to mute, which I usually do in games. Thank you Gamemill, thank you Big Fish, is has been great fun!
Somehow I never got to playing this game, the follow up for Empress of the Deep. I had purchased it, but one way or the other i forgot all about it. Guess my list of still to play games is too long. :) Anyway. Now, at the beginning of a new year I've finally installed it, to discover an absolutely beautiful game with perfect graphics, a good storyline and pleasant sounds while searching for objects. I love it! I do remember that after the coming out of the first game in this series most players were unanimous enthousiastic, but not so much for this sequel. Maybe because of the lack of extra's such as the usual bonus game. I can imagine people missed that while having paid the CE price. There IS an extra game however, but not within the story line. Well allright, to me it's fine. The quality of the main game compensates this completely. Thanks developers, you did a great job!
