Level of Challenge

This game doesn't have much in the way of instructions, but it does have a mini tutorial. Basically, you have to find your way through each level's maze, and collect special glowing white/red orbs along the way. To get through the purple, green, or white force fields, you need to find the purple, green,or white orb.
The goal is to find the portal that takes you to the next level.
I'm currently on level 5, and I find it to be challenging in the best sort of way. Love the futuristic graphics and music!
Creepy music, creepy storyline, some humor, and very challenging and fun puzzles!
Plus, there's a walkthrough in the extras that is hilarious. If you don't have to use it, it's still worth a read through afterwards, just for the snark factor.
It took me awhile to get used to the game play, but once I did, I had a really good time.
I love games like this that don't have all the collectibles and distracting sounds, etc. This game also has a level of challenge in finding objects that are missing from many of the newer games. The mini-games are pretty easy.
I actually loved this game, up to the point where I can't finish.
SPOILER (but it will save you): There is a point in the Desert world where you see a genie lamp. Near it, there is also a lens. PICK UP THE LENS!
If you leave that little scene without picking up the lens, you won't be able to go back and pick it up. The scene won't let you click back into it, and you won't be able to finish the game. Even the hint function and map tell you there is nothing to do.
I liked the game, but not enough to go back and play the whole thing over again to get to that point.
I would recommend buying the SE, not the CE. IMO, the CE didn't add enough value. There was a bonus chapter of about 1 hours worth of game play. There are some pretty wallpapers available, but the puzzles are all the ones you've already played, and there's only so much bubblepop one can stand.
As for the game itself, I loved the graphics, but most of the mini-games weren't very challenging at all. This is one of those instant gratification games. On the plus side, it's pretty relaxing and the music is really good and not repetitive.
Don't take my word for it. Play the demo and see if you like it!
This game is really well done. The graphics are clear, the music is beautiful and non-repetitive. It's a long game - you really get your money's worth.
Most of the mini-games weren't overly difficult. There were a few that were different and exciting. The only ones I skipped were 2 of the slider puzzles, but that's because I detest those, and life is too short to work on something you detest.
I've always thought the live-action animations in these games were weird. The characters seem to stand around looking like they are seeking a bathroom. Anyway, I liked the game in spite of all that.
Loved the narration and the plot. One hint from me, don't read further if you don't want to know.....
Some clues to opening the next scene might be written way back in your journal, so don't forget to consult your notes!
