I enjoyed this just as much as the Japan version, the graphics etc are good, there is variety in the method of matching, fogs, things to collect, powerups, tasks. & mini games. The music, explosions & sound effects are all rather gentle/soothing - you could of course turn the music down if it gets a bit monotonous, although it does change periodically - what more could I want!
I enjoyed this game as it almost seems peaceful & relaxing due to the sliding & occasionally line drawing to connect the pieces = match 3. You have to check what mode the game puts you in, by looking @ square above the board. There is timed & relaxed modes. The sounds & music are quite relaxing, no loud explosions etc. There are 100 levels & 9 mini games ie catch falling gears for rewards etc Akhra is about a Professor journeying to Akhra to find treasure & he needs tools. So you can find pieces to make these tools in the workshop. He also needs maps - you find the pieces which appear @ times after level is completed & then you finally assemble these, to travel onwards. I must say I found the rules/tips a little hard to take in , so I just continue on regardless & achieve the goals given for each level, but not with help from the powerups (which as usual you are able to collect) Occasionally I even had a blank moment, not being used to the sliding up & down & back & forth method, but I just had to buy it, as it was so different.
This maybe a replacement for my Bricks of Egypt etc which don't seem to work anymore (windows10) It is different,- but a bit hard for me to use the correct words or descriptions for the bricks, as some are egg or space ship shaped, some look like suitcases, bullets - I give up -it depends on your imagination I guess! Some are metal & need a few shots to be destroyed, & can surround the other items you need to destroy. These have many power ups of interesting shapes & colours, which you need to catch. Beware Poison - a pink skull & Xbones. There are the usual type of power ups/downs eg sizes of bats & balls, flame balls, 3-8 extra balls, etc The flame balls are great as well as some strange shape that looks like a seed in the wind - I told you it was hard to describe! :) There are also - like black holes which catch & spit out the ball & I often got a surprise when I realized where the ball had shot out -usually not where I was expecting. There is a good Help page Easy, med & hard levels. 10 levels to a scene or section & 10 sections as far as I could tell. The background is a stormy futuristic Cityscape @ night, but changes later. The only thing to distract me was the continual ? rain. Music can be dramatic or softer, & the sound effects are good, but it all seems a bit mechanically inclined to me. I decided to add this to my list of BFGames, so I recommend you try the demo.
I had tried Tisnart Shapes which I like, so had to try this too. This is reminiscent of the Collapse games, but that's where it ends. This is based on Demo so far.- You are given goals for each level ie 25, 50, 100 etc of each coloured tile. The tiles change colour after level 12. You get a thumb up when goal achieved. Any space left on board is filled with gold coins which you later can use with the multi blaster, which costs coins for each blast. The other power ups appear on the board for individual colours, but unlike Collapse do not get rid of ALL the tiles of one colour. There is also a Gravity bar that keeps moving, & you have to keep the tiles below this to win. Tiles can come from top, bottom, & sides or top & bottom keeps you on your fingers & toes. You can also speed fill the bar that adds the tiles, but I can do without that , but can see some advantage. You can replay levels. There are instructions, had by using the question mark. There are 24 levels in 1st section - called Easy Peasy There is only a gentle ping type of sound as you hit the tiles. I have yet to finish the demo, as I needed a bit of a rest :)
I am not a wild west gal, & after some of the reviews, tossed up whether to even try the demo, but I really enjoyed this game. I speed read the comments by the sheriffs etc, which tell the story as you progress ie robberies & bad men, the HO wasn't (so far) too gloomy to see, & I just love to zoom all over the board, with as others describe as dragging. I just consider it as drawing lines, which in my book is more fun than the usual match 3 methods, & faster. If I hadn't read reviews stating the moves being numbered (enough to put me off, usually), I wouldn't even have noticed. You do get a warning sound when down to last 5 moves, & you can buy power ups, but I have managed without these so far (about level 18) I loved the shooting the baddies & the way each level finishes. The music wasn't un enjoyable, & the demo was over too quickly, so I just had to get the game, so I could keep going - probably all night !!! :)
This game although in the Match 3 category is so different to the usual run of the mill, M3 games, in design, graphics, music/sound effects, & can be quite challenging, trying to get the right no. of matching shapes, & all before the moving nets or 'Squares" disappear off the Left of the screen. There is a bin to put unusable shapes into, as shapes are continually arriving in column on the right, but what I found fascinating, was the musical instruments (African) that have to be matched sound wise in "mini games", which you also collect & can play singly or in unison, whilst a Tucan dances to the rhythm - I could listen & watch for some time!!! :) The storyline is good, & you progressively rebuild an African village & more, with the collected gems. If you like a bit of a challenge,( some levels I had to replay a few times), something that is refreshingly different, or an African setting, then you should try this. I really enjoyed it & of course it is now in my BF collection
I don't play too many TM games as they can make me more tense than relaxed, but I do like quick thinking & organizing, & having worked in these types of careers, so thought I would try it I agree a lot with Kerith 90, about her description of the game, altho' I didn't find the same problem with the icecreams. I did find it frustrating about the drinks & was trying to think of a way to overcome it, but I concluded one just has to very quick & organized I could certainly be much better organized in real life, than in this game, but otherwise I really enjoyed it, & ended up getting it free with credits - perhaps the best way to do it at this very moment. It is enjoyable, but as Kerith stated, it could do with SOME tweaking!!!
I just looo-ve this game & have to drag myself away to live my life in reality. It is an oriental themed game that has variety as well as match 3, memory, walls to break, & other obstacles for which you can buy & use power ups , but I usually forget them unless getting overwhelmed occasionally by balls/runes I love the speed of being able to match - I have to thank BF for this , as since playing so many games my 70+ mind has become so agile, observant & speedy!!! The movements of this game are much the same as Hexus, but not related, which may help anyone who struggles to understand the moves. The instructions are very clear with each game/level The graphics & music are lovely, & there is a storyline, part of which is to collect parts of a map to help with the story. I hardly have time to read the story lines when it is a demo, as I don't want to waste time. I immediately bought this game, (but I will have to be strong & get some work done!!! :-) )
Thought I would try this after the reviews being so mixed. All was fine in Junior mode rather than Pro mode, until I got to level 8 - tried about 11 times & still didn't get anywhere The cards seem to replace removed cards with the same ,& some numbers seem to turn up far too frequently = frustrating & monotonous, hence the no progress factor . Finally gave up & tried level 9, with very few of the above & so I succeeded, then the game ended. My average of collecting the gold cards, despite all this, was 4/5, so not so bad considering. But this game is one I would not go back to . I have plenty of other solitaire games, that are much the same or better
The name caught my attention -Spring in Japan,so I had to try it It is a story that starts with a travelling Journalist who receives a letter to join a mystery person, but that's all the story I saw in Demo. This game has match 3, HO, tasks to do, by collecting items eg shears to clip some grass, pens to write on parchment, keys for a locked chest, missing plants from the Herbarium & more. Also the usual cages, tiles to break, locked pieces etc The plants as they are found, appear in a big book - pretty graphics. There are Helpers such as Origami, Lanterns, cat charms etc that you simply click on to accumulate for assistance. Also Hint & shuffle Options to play are swap, group modes & 3 choices of difficulty I was so engrossed, I forgot about sound! I loved the variety in this game, so I am off to buy it
