I love this series and was super excited to see another addition. Lovely graphics, good storyline if a little same old, same old. What really irked me is the translation of the words in the black bar tips, really REALLY bad grammar. Nanny's voice was a little forced and irritating. I would recommend for younger players.
I recommend this game!

Seeing all the other reviews that hate the little helper, I actually thought he was adorable! Very annoying voice (think baby on helium) but very cute, jumps up and down when you can use him to climb trees, ladders or reach up to high places.
Loved the story book graphics (very similar to the Spirits of Mystery series) The king's voice was a little odd though, thought he had an accent in the beginning but still not quite sure!
I found the mini games quite hard even on the easy setting but did like the variation of them.
One mistake that I found was during the voiceover by Dark Wing where he calls the King 'the prince' but that's just me because I'm picky!
The length sucks though. For a CE I would expect that it would at least last 6 hours (at least!) - after playing the demo and finishing it with 50 minutes to spare I did worry that the game would be short, and it is - however I enjoyed it enough to buy it. The bonus game takes less than an hour.
For those of you who like collectables - there are quite a few feathers to find but are really easy, you won't miss any because the zoomed in areas that they are in won't close until you pick it up! Also, the last few feathers are in the bonus game - so if you don't play it, you won't complete it. No big deal though as it just shows a little clip. Nothing to write home about.
You have the option of doing jigsaw puzzles instead of the (quite a few!) HOS, pretty cool addition I thought.
Summary - It's a cool game if you enjoy fantasy and are just looking for something to pass a couple of hours by, I've bought worse games on this site!
I recommend this game!

Okay, I'm not saying that I hate HOS but I prefer the adventure mode much more. I gave this game a low fun factor because of the amount of hidden object scenes. In the first hour, I did about 20 of them and it only got worse the closer I got to the end, which was pretty abrupt.
Voice overs were good and well acted and, for once, the mouths moved in line with what the characters said. The personalities of the characters really shone through. Graphics were pretty amazing if a bit flat (like a painting).
I gave the game five stars for level of challenge because, even though I would count myself as a expert player of this genre, I struggled to the point that this game is so non-linear you will be checking the strategy guide every few seconds. Which, by doing so you can also tell how many HOS there are! "Go into this room, find a HOS scene. Go into that room, see the sparkles, Oh, look yet another one!"
I found myself looking for other tasks within the same room just to prolong the agony (all list types with interactions - 2 per HOS). By the time I got to the end of the game - which because of the Maestro deal, I forced myself to finish - there was literally one HOS every five seconds (Dear God, the humanity!) and I sighed with relief when it was over.
CE bling - Apart from 40 mins of bonus play and the guide, that was it, no achievements, no collectables. If it hadn't been part of the deal just gone, I wouldn't have gone for it.
Yes, it was totally MY fault for not testing them out first but they looked so good!
I recommend this game!

I don't know whether it's the fact that I'm getting older and my attention span is waning but this is the first game I've played in a long time that held my attention from beginning to end.
The artwork is absolutely breathtaking - there are a lot of purples and blues but it's reminiscent of Nightmare Realm. Beautiful gardens, trees all with a soft romantic coating!
Game was about 5 hours for me with the bonus game an extra 2 hours approximately - to be honest I'm not sure of the time I took to play, I was mesmerised! The story was pretty awesome too, the characters really pulled you in. There were voiceovers but no lip sync. If I had any complaints at all it would be that both the ending of the main game and the bonus game were a little abrupt.
Well worth a collectors edition in my humble opinion, I do find myself buying a lot of these due to the wonderful quality. There are morphing objects (jewellery) and achievements, mostly the usual - not using hints, not skipping mini games etc.
The mini games are absolutely stellar! Heaps I've never seen before and all to my taste, lots of jigsaw puzzle types and moving circles to the right location etc. Many different types of games - there are quite a few. Not that many hidden objects (which is great for me because I detest them, I just like the adventure part) and if you're like me, you can play match 3 games instead. Contrary to other game developers who use match 3 as to just make matches until the hidden objects are gone, in these ones you have to break frozen tiles so it does give you a sense of accomplishment!
I honestly didn't think I was going to like this game due to the fact that I played a few minutes of the second sable maze and almost lost the will to live, this game was just stunning, no other word for it. Enjoy!
I recommend this game!

I don't know if it's just me but lately I've been finding a 'good' game and then finding that my attention wanders halfway through, not so this game though!
Lovely story that keeps you engaged the whole way through - check! Beautiful graphics, locations, characters - check!
Game mechanics are just wonderful, just a smooth fun game - quite long too, took me about 6 hours
Morphing objects - 35 of these (I managed only 32 of these as they are extremely well hidden and don't flash often so you really have to look, also has collectible statuettes and many achievements (I love these!) along with the standard art, wallpaper and music (not so much into these) and of course the bonus chapter which took about 1 hour.
Yet another wonderful game from this developer!
I recommend this game!

If you are anything like me, you've been wandering around trying to find a game that won't bore you to tears within 10 minutes! This game's mechanics is very much like Lost Souls: Enchanted Paintings (also an awesome game!) where you have to clear the dust off of the front cover of a book instead of a painting.
I haven't delved too far into the game yet, played for 20 minutes and had to buy it - it's great, I paid full price for it but would willingly do so again. Just wonderful!
Excellent graphics, lovely world (so far) and nice characters. There is voiceover but the lips don't move at all. In the 20 minutes I played only 1 HOS which is great because I don't really enjoy them, they are a means to an end to find objects for inventory.
Of the CE extras - you collect coins to buy collectibles (called 'trophies' in the game - from the different worlds you travel to - for example Jack the Ripper's diary among other things. The other CE extras are locked until you complete the main game so I haven't seen those yet but no biggie because I rarely look at artwork or soundtracks and things.
Just have a trial run and I bet you buy the same as me!
I recommend this game!

At first I was skeptical. In the past few days I had tried several match 3 games and they bored me to tears! Then I tried this one. There is no story line and the graphics may lead some to believe this was created years ago but it's just very cartoonish.
I am addicted to this game! The little Qbeez characters voices are so cute! They all have little personalities, the grey ones are the depressed ones for example.
The level of challenge increases within each round but I find myself playing over and over to increase my score! I have been playing non stop for the past 2 days and am just about to play it again!
If you love a challenge and want to try a match 3 game that does not bore you to tears, then get this one - you won't regret it!
Each round has 5 games within it, starting off from really easy (for example giant blocks with bombs then increasing to 225 blocks) it's not match 3 per se, but rather a grouping to get rid of all the blocks or to clear 95% of the board to proceed. There are also 'powerups' I suppose, in that for each round there are helpers to try and increase your score.
Bombs - to blow up small or large areas depending on how many you can group together
Hats - depending on the colour of the hat band if you get two together you can then aim a particular set of them to turn the hat band colour
Brushes - it goes up the whole column and turns all the blocks that colour and so on - I don't want to spoil it for you. It's awesome - get it!
I recommend this game!

Now this game was worth waiting for! Excellent (slightly cartoonish but awesome!) graphics which I happen to love, wonderful story! Excellent mini-games (not seen many of these before) even awesome hidden object scenes - interactive and find multiples of objects. To the devs - Well done! This is excellent and surpasses all my expectations!
I recommend this game!

I love match 3 games, and while this game was one, it just didn't do it for me. Music constant (no change of tune) reminiscent of Luigi's Pizza Parlour and elevator music, I did my best to ignore it.
Graphics are fun and bright but (and it may be that I've been spoiled by the newer games out there) awful quality, no crisp edges - if I hadn't known that I was looking at a boat, I might have thought it was a confused potato perhaps.
The sad thing is, I don't (like another reviewer) see what the point was? I could have gone on and on, manipulating the pearls down the game board and making matches to make the background disappear - but to what end?! I know there was a story of love lurking under here somewhere but not enough for me, sadly lacking.
To be nice - I suggest playing it for yourself if you feel like a bit of mind-numbing matching to while away an hour or so.
I don't recommend this game.

Okay, maybe if I were a 10 year old girl from 1982 I might have enjoyed this game. Not so, as a 35 year old woman, I just feel a) dumber for its experience and b) wanting to ask for what's left of my sanity back.
Graphics: I mention 1982 as this is the era that comes to mind after playing it. Clunky and chunky background scene, looks like it was left in the closet for the last 30 odd years.
Game: I admit that I am basing this on only 7 minutes of playing the demo and not the full game but come on, people! There is no main character as such but basically a nasty wizard has taken over the land of Color Land and has sucked the colour out. Everyone seems just fine with this, except one little girl who is apparently a wizard's apprentice.
The puzzle side of the game looked good but after 10 levels of the match-making game I just couldn't hold out for it. All the boards (so far) look the same and there is no challenge whatsoever. You make chains out of variously coloured symbols - but the reason there is no challenge is because the 'chain' of symbols you make doesn't seem to matter at all. You can begin a chain - for example - by pointing the annoying and clunky (with no option to turn that off by the way) cursor and drag through other colours/symbols to make a really long chain....dear god, just could not do it any more!
Music - a cross between medieval elevator music and torture, even turned right down it didn't seem to matter, I could still hear it super loud!
No story apart from the top section. No point either.
I don't recommend this game.
