Storyline is nothing new – car crash, disappearing town, witch, and disappearing person needing to be found. They could have added a twist to it. Good mix of puzzles and HOS. Puzzles can be very creative and can be real head bangers, but can be skipped. Find a green card in the HO scenes before you get a list of objects to find. Although it was interesting at first, it did get tedious after a while. Your inventory is in a case rather than in an inventory tray, so you must open it every time you want to place something.
You have objectives throughout the game and, every time you finish one, a green card appears with your next task. Graphics set a moody atmosphere and the voice overs and music are complementary. They add a lot to the story, although the VO's are amateurish and exaggerated. Took about 5+ hours to play. If interested in the CE, bonus game has Clarie exploring the making of the witch and took me about 1 ½ hours. Not quite as good as I thought it would be, but still had a pleasant time playing
I recommend this game!

Soap Opera Dash
Help Rosie film the best Soap Opera ever! Run the sets and make sure all the actors are happy in this fun Time Management game!
Help Rosie (from Diner Dash) be successful producing a soap opera. Give actors their scripts, help make them up to look their best, put the props on stage, feed the critics and actors. Lots to do and lots of fun trying to get it all done on time. Don't know why I don't give it 5 stars, other than I guess it just didn't grab me enough.
Werewolf Mephistus is seeking revenge on Veronica and her family a few days before her wedding. You’re called in to save the day. Well developed and thought-out storyline and characters. Catches your attention from the beginning. The spooky cutscenes and haunting music send a chill up your spine. Good balance of detailed HOS and variety of puzzles with varying difficulty.
Some backtracking. You’ll be seeking out people for an object, only to be told you needed to do an errand for them before they’ll give you the object. 3 modes of play: casual, advanced and hard. Gorgeously crisp and clear graphics. Very polished gameplay flows smoothly and easily – usually what needs to be done is intuitive. A lot of fun to play.
Very addictive and fun. Good colorful graphics - kids will love it (young and old). Plan which stations you will upgrade to satisfactorily serve your clientele. Play for hours and hours. I've had this game for a few years and never get tired playing it.

Ocean Express
Can you pack puzzle pieces perfectly onboard the Ocean Express?
Gameplay becomes more difficult as you add different cargo pieces, since you have a limited time to fit them into the available space. You'll need to add larger cargo pieces to fill up the barges. You'll also need to add additional shipping containers to meet your goals. Simple but fun game all around. Prepare to spend hours playing.
Opening scenes really grabbed my attention but know that this game is not for children. Although it is not graphic enough to make you jump out of your seat, it is not for the faint of heart. There is physical violence, and the narrator gives vivid descriptions of some of that violence, like saying that some people were buried alive. Narrator sounds pleasant enough; the actors' voices sound forced. Artwork depicts the gangster era of Al Capone and Bugsy Siegel, which I like, but the actors’ wardrobes have a few too many modern touches.
Puzzles were varied but very easy. The story seems well-crafted and if you don’t mind the disturbing scenes, it looks like a buy. But because the puzzles are not very challenging and there is little chance of not knowing what to do next are the reasons for me not giving this a 5-star rating like the prior 2 Cemetery Redemption games.
The Mystery Trackers series always are a buy for me – they never disappoint. A most unusual storyline that keeps your interest – glimpses of a damsel in distress and an evil villain. And let’s not forget your faithful helpful companion Elf who fears nothing and can get into a lot of places you can’t. Lots to see and do in your investigation – your map keeps you on track to visiting only pertinent locations. Exceptional, highly-polished gameplay with beautifully drawn environments. Right amount of challenging play.
Good mix of HOS and puzzles/mini-games. HOS are somewhat crowded, but are aesthetically pleasing. The objects included in the HOS actually make sense in the story. Wide variety of puzzles and mini-games with varying degrees of difficulty. [Speaking of difficulty, you get your choice of 4 modes, from casual to hard-core difficulty.] Wonderful live acting and voice acting. ALL PROS AND NO CONS FOR THIS GAME.
This game actually plays in widescreen-yeah! From the beginning, this is an ominous outing. Liked that the sound effects were close to, but not quite, realistic sounding. and the animation (the ghostly figure added to the atmosphere) and graphics were absolutely terrific. The music plays to the spooky theme. A fun game to play without getting stressed out or tired because the HOS are too cluttered and small. Here they were nicely sized and the list of objects was large enough to easily see. The main question for me is whether to get the CE or SE. I chose the SE.
The residents of Bitterford, Maine have fallen prey to a terrible curse. It’s up to you to unravel the series of mysterious events that led to the town’s downfall and uncover the evil that was responsible.
Very good production values. The MCFs keep getting better and this is the best one yet. They’ve come a long way since Huntsville. You can play casual or expert modes, in high definition and with subtitles. You have separate volume controls for sound effects and the environment. Music is relaxing. You have a map and a case book which lists your tasks and your notes on the case.
For once, we have cutscenes with good live actors who act and sound natural – it’s about time! Delve into a good well thought-out and interesting plot. Adding the ghost hunters is good -- more mystery is added as to why they took off so fast, while leaving quite a bit of their equipment behind. Very good graphics.

Mahjong Towers Eternity ™

I used to play this game a lot on a regular size PC and on a 18" laptop. Graphics were good. But on my 27" screen, I just can't get the graphics and size to be good. Since I hate to waste time reading reviews where the game didn't work on their computer, I'll opine on the regular PC and laptop.
You can make the game as challenging as you want by selecting additional types of models from a huge selection online - you can even add your own. Wish there was a way to pin the models you like best to be permanent until specifically culled, because I accidentally removed a couple that I loved and I don't recall what they were named. Haven't been able to find them.
Like that you can change the types of backgrounds and the display of the tiles. I like the moving tiles, but my eyes get tired after awhile, so I change to something more soothing. I'd also like to be able to change the size of the tiles - on one computer, they seem a little small. But it's one of the better mah-jong games I've played.
