Very spooky - seeing the dead people being dragged away was really creepy. I was somewhat disappointed that the environment had a dismal appearance. Just because the topic is scary doesn't mean the localities have to be dull and drab. Otherwise, the graphics were okay - dreary makes it difficult to show crisp and detailed artwork because of the color palette.
Long on adventure - short on HOS. Puzzles are not too difficult. I like this kind of game; I just think others have done a much better job of kick-starting interest in the story and keeping it at a rather high level. So about a low 3 1/2 stars even though I like creepy crawly stuff. But there's nothing really wrong with the game - just personal preference.
I recommend this game!

LENGTH: Playing casual, it can easily take 10-11 hours with the bonus games (available if all 50 crowns are found).
GAMEPLAY: Mainly HOS - 25 missions. In each scene, there are 2 crowns to find. Scenes are repeated, but you don't need to find additional crowns. Finding all 50 crowns will allow bonus games.
Each mission has several HOS (busy scenes, darkish in spots, well-blended and/or faint objects) which are list-based or put the items where they belong (the latter in a split screen) and one or two puzzles (relatively easy and they do repeat). You get bonus points for playing fast and for perfect searches (no misclick penalties).
SUMMARY: If you like a game that consists mainly of HOS with a few puzzles thrown in to break the monotony, this is a game to try.
I recommend this game!

STORY: Fresh and unique story. 20 years ago, a mist captured your brother. Any pictures he draws are burned and become reality. Now you must try to retrieve him.
GAMEPLAY: Somewhat linear, although there is some leeway. Mostly adventure. Many more puzzles and mini-games than HOS. The puzzles are unique and fun to play; many take trial and error. The HOS are quite crowded and interactive. Some may be list-based; others are silhouettes. The silhouettes may need you to gather clues within the scene to solve some of the inherent puzzles to gather all items. There is some back and forth as you need to gather components to solve puzzles in another location.
OTHER STUFF: Graphics are a little on the hazy side, but the color palettes are very good indeed. Map shows where there are pending activities. Music is nothing to write home about. The CE has a lot to offer; morphing objects, lots of achievements, all the usual accoutrements. Very good production values.
I recommend this game!

Very good production values. The graphics and color palette are outstanding. Such detail - it's an eyeful of incredibly beautiful environments. Love the Kitty, especially watching her trying to climb out of her storage case to help out. Nice voice overs (which can be turned off) except the main male character sounds like a dictator. Fast travel map (showing available actions if playing casual). Play dominoes if you don't want to play the HOS. This is a refreshing, imaginative and beautifully conceived game, with flawless gameplay, for a wonderful day of being entertained. I would have bought 5 minutes into the game, but couldn't stop myself from continuing. Great purchase
I recommend this game!

I have to agree with the other reviewers. Gameplay and story are boring. Graphics are fuzzy. Funny in spots, but that's it's one redeeming feature. Too much dialogue. Better to just watch it on TV. Game just misses the mark for a good quality game.
I don't recommend this game.

Follow the legend of Davy Jones in this visually-appealing production. Help free the signers of a Davy Jones past. Voice overs sound realistic with the proper amount of emotion. Graphics and use of color palettes are outstanding. Story and frequent cutscenes are well-developed.
Good ratio of puzzles to HOS. Several types of interactive HOS. Puzzles are fun and interesting, but are relatively easy to complete; they could be more challenging. Objects are found close to where they will be used. Gameplay is straightforward. Although not strictly linear, it is a simple matter of logic to figure out what to do and where to go next.
With all the attention to detail, it is an entertaining game.
The CE has quite a few different types of collectibles and achievements, in addition to the usual bonus game and extras to make it worth the extra price.
I recommend this game!

STORY: Princess Sophia is now Queen of her kingdom and must go in search of the one person who can bring her parents out of their deep sleep. Well-developed storyline. Pocket dragon is back and this time he gets an additional power of wind. The hint system (the owl) is specific if you need help navigating the scenes.
OTHER STUFF: Your journal has information needed to solve some of the puzzles, as well as a map showing where actions are pending on Easy Mode. Music is non-intrusive. Graphics are magnificent; crisp and clear; the artistry is first-class using colors to create the various visually-appealing environments. Well conceived and executed details to make the atmospheres come to life. Superb!
GAMEPLAY: Mostly adventure, requiring finding objects in the HOS and solving fun and interesting puzzles. Good ratio of HOS and mini-games. The HOS are either list-based or pictures of different colors. For the pictures, you have to change the overall hue of the scene to one of the colors of the pictures before you can collect them. [Ex: you have red, blue, green and yellow objects. Change the hue of the scene to red to collect any red objects, then change the hue to blue to collect the blue objects, etc.] Puzzles are unique and challenging.
SUMMARY: An outstanding, beautifully conceived game with flawless play and enchanting environments to navigate.

I found this game a little on the boring side; the music didn't help and was a constant tempo. Some of the activity (like the apparent abduction of the curator as you arrive) screamed for a more compelling tempo. The story was interesting but the gameplay did not fully capture the potential.
STORY: You've recently joined the Paranormal Research Society which is investigating paranormal activity in a museum of a civil war memorial in Poison Spring. You find and capture instances of the paranormal activity, with the help of an older psychic.
GAMEPLAY: Adventure game with a good balance of HOS and puzzles. The HOS are quite crowded, but you can eventually find the objects; the color palettes are on the mono side, so it makes the object searches harder to differentiate items. The puzzles were well varied in complexity; you need to have some dexterity for some of them. Graphics are okay - not the brightest and clearest, but adequate.
I recommend this game!

Terrific adventure game that is a pleasure to play because of its flawless gameplay. Has lots of innovate and clever puzzles with varying degrees of difficulty and they are fun to do. Graphics are very good and make great use of color palettes to enhance the environments. Similar gameplay to the other Dana Knightstone games - not too easy and not too difficult.
