I liked this game, as a mindless way to pass time. With a newborn baby in the house, its handy to have something casual to pick up and play for a few minutes in between feeds/changes etc, and this fitted the bill quite well! The storyline is simple but cute- at least there is some attempt at a story- I can find mahjong on its own pointless and get bored. There are also mini games, like matching tiles and a few hidden object scenes. There are plenty of levels in the story mode (I didnt bother with the single levels after playing through the story), I think about 12 stages with 10-12 levels in each. As other reviewers have said, there are a few problems with this game- the english is not always clear and the cursor can be tricky to pin down, but these were minor issues and didnt really bother me. The game also just came to an end, with no real ending, I would have preferred some kind of final puzzle.
Overall, I would say this game was too easy, it could have benefitted with a harder mode- its almost impossible to lose a level and that meant there is no challenge. It might suit younger or more inexperienced players better.
Great hidden object/puzzle game with supernatural twist!

This review is based on the full game which I completed.
This is the second game I have played in this series and while I really enjoyed both, there are also similar issues I have with them.
I liked: ~the storyline which is interesting and immersive, a bit different (if you like supernatural things!). ~the mix of puzzles and hidden objects which I thought was good. ~the lack of to much going back and forth in the game, its fairly linear.
I didnt like: ~some of the hidden object puzzles were a bit obscure, esp the putting objects back into place ones. ~the puzzles could do with more instruction, in a few cases, I had to resort to a walkthrough in order to find out what I was supposed to do.
Overall, I really enjoyed this game and would recommend it for adults or older children.

I liked the fantasy storyline, the fun bright characters and the flow of the game which I thought was excellent. There was little going back and forth, the game was quite linear which I enjoy in a game. It was easy going and relaxing to play.
On the downside, I thought that the graphics could be a little better, some of the dialogue was a bit silly and dragged out, and the game overall could be longer.
One last point- I wouldn't classify this as a hidden object game, there are no classic HO scenes, definitely more adventure.

I liked the graphics and easy to learn nature of this game. For a time-management game it was quite relaxing to play! I felt it could be more challenging and have more storyline so I took off one star.

Although I did enjoy the game, I gave it 3 stars based on -the length, which was quite short, I played through very quickly. -the navigation system, which I didn't like, often I had to hunt for a way to leave a scene, which I cant stand in a game. -the level of tedium, there was a lot of back and forth, and pointless (in my opinion) tasks, for example having to light 4 lamps in a row in the same way. -the difficulty, which I felt was unbalanced. Some puzzles/tasks were hard while some were simple.
Good points were the journal which I liked, and the game was bright, upbeat, colourful and overall, enjoyable. As I said in my title, I think this would be a really good game for younger players, beginners or someone looking for not too much of a challenge.

This is a hidden object/adventure game which is mainly hidden object scenes, mixed in with a few puzzles. The hidden object scenes are scrolling, which means that you can move either side to side or in and out of a scene, adding a 3d like effect. Your view of items shifts as you move, much as it would really happen as you move about a room and change your perspective. I've never seen this in a game before and it is a nice effect adding challenge - in some cases too much challenge!!
Pros: Apart from the scrolling effect described above- I liked the graphics in this game, which were beautiful and clear. I also liked the fact that the HO scenes and some of the puzzles were on the challenging side. I find many games too easy, even on the hardest setting. If you do get completely stuck, the hint system was one of the best I've ever experienced. Rather than offering vague tips, it offers real assistance when you're stuck, getting more and more clearer if you need to keep using hints on the same puzzle.
Cons: The game was very short, and I found there was a lot of time spent talking. Although well voiced, the conversations were long and the narrators spoke very slowly. Some of the cut scenes could not be skipped or sped up so you just have to sit through them.
Overall for me, I enjoyed this game and would recommend it- however considering the length, I would probably advise waiting for a special offer as it may not be worth full price compared to other games out there.

This review is based on the full game which I recently completed. This game is a strategy or time-management game, but is not timed. The whole game plays out as one long level. I wasnt sure I would enjoy this at the start as I generally play games broken up into levels, but I got pulled into it by the story and gameplay!
I liked: ~ the story, which was varied and more involving than other TM games I have played. ~ the gameplay, which overall was fun and varied. ~ the AI, which is good- characters keep doing the tasks you set them, even after interruptions.
I didnt like: ~ aspects of the gameplay were repetitive, I felt too much time was wasted doing routine tasks and this got a bit boring. ~ the way the screen moved made me feel a little dizzy.
Overall, I enjoyed this game and would recommend it. It is very satisfying to see all the little villagers going about their daily lives- doing laundry, chatting and relaxing! While the game itself isn't overly challenging, there is enough to do and you still need to concentrate to keep everyone happy. I will be looking out for the sequel.

This review is based on the full game which I finished recently. The game is basically a series of HO screens, with a few puzzles here and there.
I liked ~ the storyline, finding the atmosphere of the game eerie and suspenseful without being over the top, however it wasnt that developed, which was disappointing. ~ the HO screens were challenging, and I used a fair amt of hints ~ the pace of the game moved along well and kept me playing.
I didnt like: ~ some of the puzzles were very confusing, with no hints as to how to complete. Also, some were difficult to solve because the controls were awkward. ~ the length of the game was a little short and as I said above, I felt the storyline was a little undeveloped.
Overall, I did enjoy the game and I will recommend it, but it is a little short and some of the puzzles are frustrating. Also, while not too serious, this game does have supernatural themes, so might be a little creepy for younger or sensitive children.
I recommend this game!

I completely recommend this game for time management fans, or indeed other gamers too, I enjoyed it so much. Using trucks and buses, you have to set up manufacturing and trading chains with other towns or transport people. It might sound boring but it is incredibly addictive and this game is so well designed, with many different locations and varied tasks, it never gets old. It is challenging and lasts a long time. There are 52 levels, which could take anything from 10 mins to over half an hour each to complete- many you will want to repeat to improve your rating- so there is easily over 20 hours or more of gameplay here. I think this is great value for a casual game- well worth spending your money or a credit on! My only problem is that it is difficult to find another game as good as this one. I hope they hurry and bring out another sequel!
